Oh, I don't know...had Wierwille really been the person he pretended to be perhaps he would have sent the plane around to help folks out. But as it is he is exposed as a fraud....consequently, we quit believing he was the man of God for our day and time. Seems we learned all we needed to about believing.

Good! Glad you did. If the song were mine I would want to know that a fledgling, offshoot cult is using it in promo - UNCREDITED!

Class three is usally the lesser class of felonies. However, copping to a felony is a major life altering event. I did a little digging and this following link explains it better than I could. http://www.criminalinfonetwork.com/pleading-guilty.htm

Ouch, 3rd degree felonies. That kid really messed up his immediate future.
-
Me too at first. They really should credit the man's work.

Same here. It's called Free Life by Dan Wilson. The artist deserves credit and I am sorry that SOWERS used w/o crediting the artist. Sound familiar anyone? Oh well, hopefully Dan can get publicity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mi3CTN3Ufg&feature=related

Wow...thanks, WW. I got an education out of your post.

Ya, my first AC special was in 1998. I think it was all about Joshua and the promised land or some such thing. Craig went on tangents about the manifestations but they were definitely not the focus. Subsequent ones were used for damage control, i.e., the one in 2000. After Rosie took the helm they were just as watered down and boring as any other presentation she has "produced."

Well said, Chock.
-
So....would this mean that there is as much learning in scrambling eggs as there is in studying Genesis, providing I used a little believing? With crack-pot garbage like this no wonder Craig and Rosie have systematically pulled most of Vic's ramblings.
-
I'm sorry...well....not really....but from: http://sowersonline.com/LEAD.aspx In the video the have a sound byte from victor paul wierwille that says: SAY WHAT? So does this mean all the hitchhiking drifters out there are learning as much as they could by studying Genesis? Since when did God magnify hitchhiking above his name? Did ole' saint vic just make this stuff up as he went? Or was he moved by the manifestation of Drambuie?
-
See, as far as TWI involvement goes that is a blessing. Heh, just ask Hayes Gahagan.
-
Not the ones I attended.

Hearing sound bytes from Wierwille, with my non-wayfer mindset, the man sounds full of it. I used to idolize his old teachings lamenting that no one like him had risen up in the way international. The man was a crack pot.
-
That's a great point. I mean, afterall, "There's as much learning in hitchhiking as there is in studying Genesis." Look at all the learning they missed. <_<
-
I really found this to be a little creepy, especially with the smattering of quotes from victor paul wierwille in the mix.
-
Now that would be cool. On another note I am wondering how much longer they can go before Rosalie sues them.

Both times I was way disciple I was told in a group setting that speaking the word causes devil spirits actual, physical pain. Sooooo......if this is true then the devil must have been in a world of hurt when he quoted the Old Testament to Jesus in the temptations....no? Of course one has to wonder how spirit beings experience physical pain since that which is flesh is flesh and that which is spirit is spirit....maybe they should say "spiritual pain." <_< Thought it would be fun to rip in this one a little bit.

How far into the Corps program were you when you realized you wanted out?
OldSkool replied to Jim's topic in About The Way
Makes me want onions and garlic. -
Good Lord. Those SOWERS folks head closer to the cliff's edge with every passing day. Hold up, lemme hit the

Does or did TWI leaders or doctrines influence your political views?
OldSkool replied to penworks's topic in About The Way
TWI = republican. It's rare to find democratic leanings around HQ. They loved George W. Bush and even had his picture on the wall in the OSC. -
It's basically a several day event where some teaching topic or another is handled. Usually it's specific to what Rosie feels the advanced grads need to hear so they will do what she wants them to. It's only for corps and AC grads. Sort of a hoopla stop over to get the spiritually mature excited enough to push classes. I know, I am a bit cynical.
