Yes, this has changed significantly over the years. I was at HQ when outsourcing became popular. Of course they sell the idea to the staff as being the best, prevailing, etc; while ignoring the obvious that TrustAndObey pointed out - there aren't enough people around to do the work!

She is in her mid seventies by now.

I think the following link says it all. Be sure to scroll down to see Camp Gunnison Inc. http://highered.colorado.gov/Academics/Colleges/privateaccredited.asp And just to be sure The degrees issued by the way international through Camp Gunnison Inc. are WORTHLESS. But the way international claim they are accredited with degree granting status. What a nasty twist of words they use. Granting a roll of toilet paper would be more useful.

Makes sense to me. Nice breakdown of the topic.

Lynn uses the same claim for his group. Greatest teaching since the first century church. <_< I think their claims measure up nicely to P.T. Barnums "The Greatest Show on Earth" hype.

Great post, Socks. JL would make a better impression on me (not that he needs to, but just saying) if his "ministry" found some way to be self supporting w/o fleecing people of donations. Let the work prove itself as a true ministry, complete with signs, miracles, wonders, etc. All I have seen from Lynn's group is the same useless rhetoric I used to see in the way international. IE, people going on and on about how electrifying the teachings are, and how amazing it is that we "know" so much more than everyone else. <_<

I dunno, my experience with JL is he wants folks to work for his "ministry" or otherwise give him money. Otherwise, besides people listening to his lectures, he has not much concern for folks.

So is Hirschfeld in the clink?

I think another point to be made here is healing is a gift. It can be asked for and granted out of the love that God and Christ have for us. It is not something to be claimed or demanded. There is no entitlement. There are promises of full healing and restoration in the future and some take those to say we are already healed and all we have to do is claim it. That is simply not true as evidenced by many of us dealing with sickness and diseases. I am of the opinion that we should approach God boldly but with respect and awe.

My time in the way international and my experiences with the offshoots has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. It has taken a few years for me to figure out why it galls me so and recently I have managed to sort the mangled emotions and boil it down to brass tax. In my experiences, all these people care about is building their organizations. Their commitment is to building the biggest 501-c3 non-profit corporation that they can. Success to them is not expressed in healing the sick, setting the captives free, or any such noble and Christ like pursuit. But instead the want filled rooms so they can lecture (aka teach) those in need instead of helping them. In these twisted organizations Christ is not magnified, but the organization itself and the pompous leaders who dedicate themselves to spearhead their "ministry." The hypocrisy sickens me. In my own burdens and distress I have reached out to them only to find myself facing some sort of recruitment pitch to goto work for them. I am free of them and eventually I will find what I am looking for.
