  1. Ah, yes....the d@mned courtesy fold....looks like they have managed to run off most of their followers all the while they have a new goal. Courtesy Fold Over the World! I hear they have a new program called C.F.O.W Ambassadors. Pretty soon, once this goal is "fulfilled" and the courtesy fold is over the world...they will cross the sewer pipe in to the Promised Land of the Prevailing Courtesy Fold. Ok, this shizz is cracking me up....
  2. Aint that a b1tch? I thought the whole point of a "research" ministry was to answer questions. Guess they only questions they answer are the ones they give you followed by their answers.
  3. He told me that personally during a conversation regarding my own situation at the time. The context was medical debt. To quote Karl Marx "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Seems Rosie, Rico, and the gang are in good company.
  4. I really don't know. There are so many reasons why people stay. Personally, I would not argue with the person. If they are willing to talk that's cool but any arguing with a true wayfer will result in them thinking you are possessed. I left because I refuse to be treated the way the board of dummies tried to treat me. Once I saw TWI was rotten to the core I bounced.
  5. I bet you a dollar to a dime it all came straight from Rosalie. I mean absolutely nothing significant happens without Rosalie (likely with Donna) making the call. Rosalie gives final approval for fellowship coordinators. So, most likely what happened was the region coordinator mentioned to the way of the usa about the couple buying a house, thinking this would be alright. He likely got steamrolled by his leadership and was told they could no longer be fellowship coordinators. Then he went and took it out on them. That is similar to what I have seen happen when it comes to administering these little punishments. Almost all of the time it comes straight from Rosie. So yes. Region coordinators / Presidents cabinet / board of directors make no significant decisions without the chairman of the board's (a.k.a Rosalie) final approval. She micromanages at that level.
  6. See, that trips me out. When my ordeal happened I was out as soon as I could find the door. Yet, so many people let this little cult walk over them and still keep coming back for more. I know the reasons vary. Heck I remember hearing folks quote bible verses about the sons of Eli and how Samuel stayed with Eli in spite of the abuses...sad x 3 it is. Not too drift too far off topic...
  7. When you are a organization that is dependent on donations to survive it is a very stupid thing to cut off a majority of your people from your organization because they have debt. Wouldn't it be honest to tell these people not give anymore money until they have cleared the debt? I mean after all, if debt is so sinful it must be repugnant to God to accept their money when it is owed to someone else? But Rosie you tore out the wrong pages from Wierwille's play book. All that money you are using to run your cornfield cult came from donations, or investments from those donations. We know Wierwille would take money from just about anyone and allow them to stick around "as long as their money held out!" Nope, Rosie thinks it's a good thing to have a smaller organization with more people walking out the doors than walking in. I know for a fact she thinks all the people who have been sacrificed to the no debt alter are wrong and can suffer the consequences. I know she considers her policy and punishments God's will. And if in doing "God's" will no one is left standing then that is the way it goes. After all, God's people are a remnant. Sooner or later all the ploys will run out as well. Busing in people to the service to fill the house, work/study program to have enough staff to run the advance class and mask the otherwise empty house. Yep, sooner or later the ministry kids will start thinning out as well. You know, the same kids who goto the advanced class, way disciple, and a few even trickle into the way corps. Anywho.
  8. Great post JJ. The irony in their dumb policies is they have put a foot on their own throats because they are driving away a lot of people at a time when they desperately need to grow. Consider the fellowship that was doing well with this couple who got the house. They were obviously good people who were able to bring along new folks and dumba$$ Rosie's policies cut them off from bringing along more new folks. I really think that the no debt policy and it's punishments will (in time) prove to be the final few nails in the way's coffin. Rosie is bullheaded enough to let it happen anyway because she considers her policy God's will. Yep....that arrogant indeed.
  9. No mystery here for those of us who went through the in-rez corps program. Work/study program with the emphasis on work. And you still get to cough up tuition all the while working for free. I understand they consider even negative exposure, such as we have here, advertisement for them. Other than that they can always blame the devil.
  10. http://sowersonline.com/default.aspx And they actually have the nerve to call the new year of a tired, old, ripped off, resurrected program "Here We Go Again!" I must say it's an apt description....
  11. Legal fees to B@k3r H0stetl3r ---- ???? ---- whatever it is can't be chump change!
  12. The way international demands money from it's followers claiming that the money is used in the outreach of God's Word. REALLY? Then tell me why the following is commonplace in the way ministry? And I am sure I am just scratching the surface. Field way corps routinely go out of pocket while conducting ministry business All staff (whether on the field or not) are paid substandard wages HQ and Gunnison are run on the tightest budget possible, and as a result, are in really bad repair Staff at HQ and Gunnison are forced to "volunteer" to support the Sunday teaching service and other events after putting in a minimum of 46 hours a week A majority of the abundant sharing goes to pay staff, but what do they actually produce? (way mag, STS, bookstore --- hey, has anyone at HQ ever heard of digital distribution? ) Ok, enough for now. I am sure this topic has been covered thoroughly (or is it throughly?), but I thought I would post it up and "re-search" it a little further.
  13. The way most "land contracts" are worded they are usually really bad deals for the buyer. Again, way to go TWI!
  14. That is a given since every published work is all but re-written. Plus, it was pieced together from her diaries so it's not like she sat down and penned a book.
  15. I am convinced of this as well, as I stated earlier. I don't think it's so much about extracting more money from people, since they are willing to disqualify people based on having debt. Everything from the advanced class onward requires that a person be debt free. This seems to be a marked change from Wierwille's policies who appears to have used anything he could beg, steal or borrow to grow his organization. Advanced class, staff, way disciple, way corps training, active way corps, participation in advanced class specials, and other classes or events all require a person(s) to be debt free. These programs and classes are the real money makers for twi. When you think about it advanced class grads are the ones tasked with propagating the way international. Way corps are just the clip board carriers. Way disciples are suckered into a 6 month sabbatical to grow TWI. Both groups are advanced class grads with different colored name tags. Not to oversimplify things. In regards to the no debt policy, Rosalie has shown how stupid she really is. She has cut off entrance to the advanced class to those who are in debt, thus constricting the way international's growth. I think the results are obvious compared to Wierwille's day who would take anyone as long as their money held out. My advanced class was in the mid to late 90s and had around 600 students. The year I left the way international they had around 80 (or less) students and they had started the work study program because there weren't enough people on staff to support the advanced class. Great work Rosie!!!
  16. From what I can tell you from personal exposure to Rosie and Donna, it all comes down to control. Those two are the worst micro-managers I have ever met. They really get off on playing the role of the benevolent dictator. They know what is best for people "spiritually" (whatever the h3ll that means?) and believe it is their job to tell people what is best for them. Even though they hold themselves to a different standard in most cases. Also, the no debt policy was not Craig. Rosalie used Donna to push that through Craig's presidency when they had him over a barrel, so to speak, with his extra-marital affairs. Rosalie was the power behind the throne before sitting on the throne herself.
  17. Ahh......they call that sort of thing "undershepherding", at least in the beginning of the indoctrination process..... http://www.theway.org/article.php?page=aug_11&lang=en
  18. staff is very thin at HQ...I have posted here at other times on the subject....I mean very lean. lean as in the can't get hardly anyone to come on staff...
  19. I dunno.....long before I left the way international.....along about the time Craiggers got the boot.....I came to the very relevant conclusion...."who gives a d@mn what he said."
  20. I dunno, I would rather feed one of my arms to wild dogs then go sleep in a hot tent in a muddy field for a week in August. The rock was cancelled by the time I came along and I have ALWAYS been REALLY glad!
  21. Y'all know he wasn't really a doctor, don't you?
  22. Nope. She will run TWI from the side of a bed in a nursing home if need be. Drool cup and all.
