  1. For sometime they've been quietly slipping into irrelevancy; where they belong.
  2. And this must be what VPW wanted, at least this is what has happened in the way international of present day.
  3. I really can't say it any better than that so I will simply quote what WordWolf said on the subject.
  4. Christ being the rock on which the church is built, it would stand to reason that the epistles would be based on the gospels, so to speak. Since no other foundation can any man lay, which is Jesus Christ. Ephesians says Jesus is the chief cornerstone. Yet, in handling the scripture, the way international counts Christ as absent and fancies themselves directing the affairs of the church. Then they ignore the gospels as written to someone else. Nice. Anywho, not to shoot too far into doctrinal.
  5. You know, I haven't thought about that statement in any critical manner since leaving the way international. It is really a load of garbage. If no one goes beyond what they are taught then there is no real creativity. Not to mention countless inventors who went beyond what they were taught. To say the only mode of learning is a teacher is nuts. Thanks for bringing that up. And of course victor pig wierwille didn't really want anyone to go beyond what he taught them. That is still how it is in the way international to this very day. If it was penned in one of wierwille's books it is above question and considered proven ministry research. It is above the bible and above question.
  6. I think it wasn't revelation so it seems my opinion cancels your opinion.
  7. Independent research has been redefined to mean RE-searching proven ministry research.
  8. psssst......hey.....You do realize VPW wasn't really a "Dr.", don't you? But you really don't know that. Jesus could have said that because he was dealing with a rich person and he simply wanted to put him to the test, so to speak. Why would he need revelation for that? Simply stated there is no proof he needed revelation to tell the guy that.
  9. Shortly before Craig was ousted by the fox he went on a Mother Teresa rant based on a book by Christopher Hitchens. Whether the book holds weight or not I agree with what you are saying about Catholic charities and how they help those in need with what they need. the way international has a cookie cutter approach. If you need help they just want to sell you classes and lectures (a.k.a. "teachings") so you can "believe" your own way out of your "self made" problems. Very evil was of doing things and not Christ like at all.
  10. I left HQ in 2008 and, at the time, Wierwille Road still belonged to the township. There were no guard towers anywhere at HQ. That's not to say the so called "Safety Department" will not follow innocent people as they travel a public road. Now, Camp Gunnison has a "gatehouse" and in reality it is a guard house. So it's not like the way international has not been known to man a guard house or two. The way international would love to own all of the properties that border their property and also control Wierwille Road. The locals will have none of it though. I posted some google maps pics here sometime ago.
  11. Oh....silly me....I'm off to do some Lo Shantas.
  12. Oh, just for old time sake http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VPcPCwK_G0
  13. After Craig was ousted Rosalie stopped discouraging people who worked at HQ and were going to college at night. I guess they figured that the education was coming right back into HQ. However, I can what had not changed was the education and subsequent potential career was to stay in the back seat when it came to working at HQ or moving on the field. That has never changed to my knowledge.
  14. I could have worded this better. My intent is to call out certain organized religions who excel at ignoring those in need. Some groups do a really good job of handling things.
  15. And if you really take a look at the gospels Jesus spent his time serving the poor what they needed. Strange how organized religion blames the poor for being poor. the way international excels in this endeavor.
  16. Or God forbid we should feed the hungry, help the poor, etc. I mean after all - The poor you always have with you. We could probably start a thread on TWI excuses for not helping those in need.
  17. I can work with that. Thanks for the encouragement.
  18. Same here. I got involved with da cornfield cult in my early 20s. Needless to say leaving in my late 30s left me bouncing around quite a bit. I have stabilized somewhat since leaving and have new friends and new direction in life that I am happy with at the moment. I will say that my stint with TWI has left me very wary of organized religion. It will take some time before I become involved with any Christian group.
  19. I spent several years applying the way international's doctrines on healing for my child while I was at HQ. I never got anything in return except "ministers" basically blaming me for lack of results. Yet I put my whole heart into what I was supposed to do and got nothing in return except blame and encouragement to stay on the hamster wheel until I got my results. I got smart and left instead. Left behind all the condemnation they laid on me as well. They can keep it all. And I never saw anyone healed at HQ either. Saw lots of folks spend time in the hospital and healed by medicinal means. Of course TWI took credit for that as well. Anywho. Oh, and while in-residence there were no healings as well. Couple of emergency surgeries and hospital stays but no miracles.
  20. They are not capable of making ethical decisions. Especially when it comes to donations.
  21. mmmm....well....I double dog dare ya!
  22. ROFLMAO! Really would be cool to go sit along Wierwille Road and protest, or just hang around and wave or something....or we could all
