The road out of TWI is littered with splinter groups.

Sounds wonderfully tremendously electrifying! Gawd Bless you. -
Why, yes......yes it was.... I have disturbing news. Sam Adams is based in Cincinnati.

Well, as I understand ancient way international headquarters history, during a new years eve party held at the OSC someone had too much to drink and plowed through the post and rail fence that is in front of the OSC. Thus the fellowships ensued. Really, most policies trace their way back to someone doing something that was unapproved of by one of the elitist pigs such as VPW, LCM, Rozilla, Donna Martindale, etc. So, being the high caliber ministers they are , the come up with a stupid policy that punishes the innocent instead of helping the person who messed something up.

It's now a two drink minimum.

ROFL! Yep, mine is the version they had to adapt after losing all the other campuses and the inrez corps numbers dwindling from several hundred to less than 15 at any given time.

Is there anything more...

Not too long after leaving TWI I was telling JAL that I had come to realize that sold out devotion to man made organizations is wrong because people should make Christ Lord and not any board of directors. I even quantified what I meant with saying that there was nothing inherently wrong with organizations but the fruit of the organization would have to stand on it's own in my opinion. I also said that it was not necessary to have an organization teach people but people should keep God and Christ first in their loyalties and then we could learn from each other, etc. The overall context was caring for one another in service to Christ versus in service to a 501-c3 non profit. All of my ramblings were met with a blank stare and a swift change of subject. No discussion, it was just as if I were talking to a wall. Perhaps I was. -

Yep, very cold. I experienced a very cold indifference (in the kinder, gentler TWI) when my son was born with health complications. Only a couple people offered to help, and the "ministers" we reached out to told us that he would be delivered when we (his parents) were ready to receive. Meanwhile, we had spent months in ministry publications, studies, etc., and I don't know how much more ready we could have been. But since what they teach does not work, they have no choice but to blame it on the victims. The logic is something like God is perfect, his Word is perfect, mankind is not perfect but needs to rise up and claim what God has already given. -

Voila! http://www.thelivingtruthfellowship.org/tltf/Home.html JAL has most of his organization using the interweb to connect. I am sure there are some loose knit fellowships, probably around Indianapolis where JAL resides. But TLTF does web fellowships, and a lot of other things online. Not sure if this it the group that was mentioned in the conversation you had. -
Household Holiday Relocation. It's in-rez corps jargon. It's a relocation because the way corps are always in training. During the relocations the trainees are simply training at another location where they can apply what they have "learned" during their previous block of training. The location has to be approved complete with extensive contact numbers. You also have to turn a detailed schedule of your planned whereabouts for the entire relocation. I'm getting the creeps typing this crap but it was not that bad, it was worse.

Ho Ho relo was the one that used to really floor me. There I was in-residence waycorps, participating in the "greatest training on the planet " and we were making plans for ho ho relo. I mean in today's slang it could be confused with moving two hookers to a new corner. Ok, I've got jokes, they may suck but I still have a few.

I've made minor contributions on GSC exposing the supposed kinder and gentler way international for what it really is. I am open to questions as well, so feel free to PM me. My advice....get out as soon as you can.

If you read what I said.... then you would understand that I am not making a blanket statement regarding all splinter groups. No doubt there are other points of interest various splinter groups offer that aren't relevant to what I posted. And in typical trolling fashion you leave me with a loaded question. My information comes from personal involvement with 3 splinter groups, which you would know if you read what I said. -

This is likely the case. One of the appeals of the splinters is they let people have more freedoms than the way international did. TWI is very legalistic in so very many things. The splinter groups, or more accurately, certain splinter groups really make it a point to let new prospects know that things are different in their group. -

It's interesting that The Way-- Living in Love was pulled from publication some years ago (probably by Martindale.) It seems to me that book exposes a lot of things about Wierwille, at least from numerous quotes on GSC. Not to mention the rather lengthy thread on the book, Living in wonderland. I have stated numerous times on GSC that since Rosalie took over Martindale's position she has gone a long way to white wash Wierwille's image. They have even enshrined his "publications" as proven ministry research, thus above question and held in the same regard as the written Word. -

You're not missing much. It was put together by way publications based on her notes, diaries, etc. -
Well, in this case there is thrive, function, and subsist. They thrived in VPW's day when he preyed on the young, groovy Christians...aka young hippies. They managed to function during LCM's day. Barely function while he bum rushed people as fast as he could. Now they subsist, they eek out an existance based on the white washed image of Victor Paul Wierwille. Rosalie lacks the capacity to do anything more than lead by institutional memory. I guess you could say "put a fork in them, they're done." Last one out please turn off the lights.

I remember John Linder going on about a nearby splinter group that, according to him, "waited around at the doors trying to pick off anyone they could." I really didn't get what he was talking about until I left. After leaving TWI I was courted by no less than three splinter groups. And I have come to realize they all want to distance themselves from the way international but continue to operate how they learned while involved in the way international. It seems they add their own "branding" but the MLM concepts are the same. And guess what everyone of the three eventually pitched me with: Yep! They wanted me to come work for them, because the greatest deliverance is in service. Only problem is service is to their organizations and not to Christ. Just like TWI. My wife is going to Church now, my son is in Sunday school. Sooner than later I will get on to Church as well.

I dunno getting kicked out of TWI is definitely a move that will improve one's life in the long run.

I wanted to pose the question Is the way international all bad? Obviously, the question opens the door for personal experiences. Personally, my life benefited in many ways over the years. Should I credit these benefits to "the ministry?" I think not. In retrospect, I pushed myself to become a better person, to be a better Christian. As I progressed deeper into the inner circle of top leadership at HQ I slowly began to realize that being a good person or a good Christian were not requisites for the position I held. Rosie wanted blind obedience and in that blind obedience I would fulfill whatever goals they chose me to serve for themselves. Eventually, I came at cross purposes with Rosie. I chose to obey my conscience against the wrong they wanted me to quietly accept. When I stood up against them I was harassed mercilessly by Rosalie through two her lapdogs. It wasn't until I started proceedings via their anti-harassment policy in the staff handbook that they left me alone for the last few weeks I was at HQ. Since leaving I have been through a roller coaster ride of emotions regarding the way international. Yes, there are areas in my life where I am a better person. I will not attribute this to the way international, they do not deserve the credit. God and his Son Jesus Christ deserve the credit. Anyone who helped me while I was in the ministry deserve my thanks and I did my best to express it to them. But the servant is not above the Master. The evil Victor Paul Wierwille, Craig Martindale, and Rosalie Rivenbark have committed through this organization is not excused by someone having bettered themselves while involved with their cult, or by good people involved TWI. I have rambled enough for now.

Hatred, ignorance, blanket accusations in twi culture.

When my mom left TWI a couple years ago her former fellowship coordinator went off on her and told her the exact same things and then some. Horrible things would happen to her and her family. And I bet some of you though this sort of thing didn't happen anymore in the way international. -

Stop with the flame bait, trollkin. -
I think most understand what I was saying here, but to be sure (and since I could have worded it better,) VPW's granddaughter told me of his extra-marital affairs and more. Not LCM's granddaughter. Just wanted to clarify for people reading that may be new to things on GSC.
-
Not only have I heard first hand accounts of much of the sexual abuse that went on within the in-residence training program by LCM, but his own grand daughter told me about his affairs on the motor coach and elsewhere. And that is the tip of the iceberg. VPW was not a good person with exaggerated stories about how bad he was. He was a monster who did all he could to suppress true stories about how bad he was. But according to johniam we are all just making it up.

Ya, you're right We're just sittin around making up stories....
