I remember this goofiness. Craig lead the charge on this stuff as far as I remember. It no doubt originated with Wierwille with JCNG, but the hardcore meanness in the 90s was all Craig.

Thanks as well form me, WW. I had studied various occult writers prior to getting involved with the way international. So when I heard Christ in you (a.k.a. unleash the power within) teachings where we release power by renewing our minds, synchronized life, the law of believing, etc., I recognized it right away as the occult. Only problem was I immediately chalked it up to the adversary counterfeiting the true God's workings. Silly me. I knew and rationalized it away. I have never heard of Albert Cliffe until finding him on GSC.

VPW definitely mixed in occult teaching via Word of Faith trappings with his law of believing, focus until it happens, the power is within you mumbo jumbo. The end result is faith in oneself as the focal point of "power" instead of faith in God and his power.

I have no doubt that V2P2 knows full well his Grand Pappy's sordid history and evil ways. Heck, his own Granddaughter told me on more than one occasion the truth about him. So what do they do with that info? Chalk it up as just a few short comings? Explain it away to themselves? I guess they ignore all the verses that condemn what he did and all the other verses that lay out requirements for leadership....the same requirements the old geezer used to lay on others. What a sad way to waste one's life. So here we have a brand new crop of youngsters following a lil' wannabe huckster. I trust he is sincere, but hey - "Sincerity is no guarantee for truth!"

I dunno about this awful case, but I do know that the way international's idiotic judgments are very sometimey. Sometime this sometimes that. Heck, I knew of a region coordinator who told one of his state coordinators to counsel a young woman not to accept government assistance because she could believe her way to prosperity. Meanwhile, at headquarters it's De facto standard to help people with medical problems get on Medicaid.

Really, I think that incident alone teaches all one needs to know about Mr. Forehead.
