The Wierwille Legacy: Who Will Write The Book?
OldSkool replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
I think this link sums it up. In tbe same manner the martindale preliminary hearing transcripts opened my eyes, and the fact that twi settled out of court to prevent the truth and gory details of a corrupt organization from seeing the light of day, Dr. Jeudes research into Wierwille helped open my eyes to the truth that Wierwille was a fraud. I do not believe that Wierwilles sins negate the scriptures. God's Word accomplishes what God intends, and nothing can stop that. Mike, please take the time to read all the links on the page that folows: http://www.empirenet.com/~messiah7/tw_founder.htm -
To be clear on my position with RnR, i am waiting to see. I have no judgement or bitterness in my heart towards them, or anyone for that matter. I need to relisten to the teachings. Some of the leadership were my peers when i was cabinet and i didnt fit the mold then either. Im surprised many of them grew a pair and stood up to rosie, that took guts, or maybe shes so old now they thought granny would roll over and play retired.....lol....either way. If their movement is from the Lord Jesus Christ time will tell. Glad your here!

The Wierwille Legacy: Who Will Write The Book?

Mike, you keep rationalizing what vpw said of himself and ministry history as if it were a trivial matter for a man of God (a clergyman no less, and a supposed Dr.) to lie about things on the grand scale he did. Given his assumed position (not to mention delusions of grandeur) he had the highest responsibility to represent himself, twi, and cite his sources accurately. I have limited experience in the publishing industry where ive helped edit various secular publications (copy/developmental) and reference checking was always extremely important. So how much higher the quality should be devoted to biblically based publications in all aspects? Yet rationalization is nothing new, in fact vpw, and lcm were grand masters at it. Lcm said he had a consensual affair. But how much higher the responsibility of a supposed man of God to keep and protect himself by the highest standards of conduct in avoiding such evils....yet...upon closer inspection he had a track record as a sexual predator complete with help from a certain procuress in arrainging sexual situations. But when the Allen lawsuit broke i cant tell you how many times i rationalized his behavior away as if it were a small matter compared to all the good he accomplished. And of course i compared his ordeal to David and Bathsheeba. It took years of smelling salts to wake from rhe cult stupor i was in! I had to read the court documents for myself to truly understand the egregious nature of Martindale's affairs...anyway. God Bless and Merry Christmas! -
The Wierwille Legacy: Who Will Write The Book?

Well, the pfal book is given away at classes and other events. When i was around it wasnt really mentioned very much at all. Instead, the collaterals were the books recommended as vital in ones development as a wayfer. -

Yeah, The Word's Way is orange. -
I came to realize in my time in twi as corps assigned to hq that the home fellowships prop twi up on a false pedestal. The home fellowships could be really hot, and even some branches, but hq with rosalie and donnas mandates, just sucked the life out of anything that blipped on their radars as non-conformist to hq's legalistic ways. The closer a person gets to the board of dummies the more they are faced with a choice. Open their eyes to the hypocritical evil in practice by the bod, or do what many still do:
-
She finally publicly recognized what has been in practice for years. When i left hq (and twi) in 2008 the so called research department was staffed by one cabinet guy who also ran building services, and had a lot of other additional responsibility. He was less than part time in research, which of course was not really research at all, but comparing questions from way publications, president publications, mostly concerning future sts and way magazine articles to proven ministry research. Basically making sure nothing contradicted what vpw had written, or had others write in his name. Way pub would also query many trivial points in revising twi books, but nothing that would challenge core twi doctrines, which are above question.

We can agree on this point, since the collaterals are not God breathed. Heck, not even twi makes that claim and they still peddle the collaterals and include them into the way of abundance and power series. And btw, twi aggressively pursues legal action on all their copyrighted works including the collaterals. Even the moral derelicts on the board of dummies recognize stealing, at least when copyrighted works are stolen from them. Like you, Mike, they blatantly disregard VPW plagiarism and write it off as God brought people to vpw so he could "package" it all together. Nevermind that what he reconstituted wasnt supposed to have been known since the first century, but I digress. -

John Rupp being a shiny example of your points when he proudly said to me "Im not a yes man, I'm a Yes Maam. When Rosalie asks me to do something i just say Yes Maam!" -

Funny thing about plaf is the way international doesnt care about it anymore either. To them its irrelevant because they have the whitewashed, brand new way of abundance and power class series thats relevant to our day and time. Remember folks, one class series fits all! Ive followed along on this thread and am enjoying the ride. Again, i went and read BG Leonards website, and again, its obvious that wirrwille ripped the guy off. Right down to wierwolfs snowjob story of when God audibly spoke to him. From Rev. Leonard’s foreword to his book GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT: “One day God spoke to me. “If thou wilt wait patiently before me, I will give thee the revelation concerning that which is written in my Word touching these things; the revelation my people need to bring them out of their chaos and confusion.” I believed God. For months I waited before His presence in solitude. During those wonderful days, He revealed the truth to me concerning the gifts of the Spirit. As He did, these things were proven by acting upon the knowledge thus received, and by examining the results in light of His Word.” -

Twi has been sending out ornaments to their fellowship coordinators with the following comment attached: "The Remnant: Those that stay behind after all others have left. The remnant in the biblical sense, was actually the best part of a piece of clothing, or material due to its quality or durability. So it is spiritually. Throughout the old testament, within every generation, it always came down to a small remnant of believers who stood and believed when all others had left. We can see it in every generation. Still see it today. Stay strong oh ye remnant of the Lord!" Now, all i can say is this appears to be a pretty cheesy effort at damage control since so many folks split with revival and restoration. Im gonna do a tshirt that says "i stood as the faithful remnant in the way international and all i got was this crappy ornament."

Omg. If more people only knew how true your statement is Twinky. We were compelled at every class to write feedback on how the classes blessed us. And it was expected of students to ONLY give positive feedback. Not honest feedback but supposed positive feedback. After a few classes the more seasoned grads learn to barf out some tremendous sounding ministry jargon to appease the overlords. Geesh, thank God im free of all that crap.

Gteat summation sky. Twi, n rosie n the gang desperatley need the past hidden in the same way rosalie n donnas deceitful leadetship duo is hidden. Yeah, donna n rosie ditched okie doofus, but donna martindale still sits behind the scenes like emperor palpatine. In many ways im thankful to pawtucket for keeping gsc alive n running. Twi sordid past is here for the viewing. Once their past is understood then the present becomes more transparent.

Yessss!!! And dont forget

The 800 pound gorilla in the dta class's living room is the glaring fact that it took approx. 17 years for rosalie to get this class done. Now if thats not inept, im not sure what is. Or maybe theres just not that many staff at hq anymore to pull it off. Im sure if rosie has a choice between sparkling clean sidewalks during a snowstorm or a new class the snow removal option is going to win everytime....lol

Your welcome for the link, ive enjoyed the comments and perspective you guys shared. Ive not thought about dta material in years. Looking back its obviously an amalgamated unit of uncohesive fecal matter. The great princes pull comes to mind. God only being able to talk to spirit. Twi version of devil spirit posession. Geez the list could go on. Ive got a few thoughts on the 4 fronts of the adversary in regards to twi: You/Yourself - The first thing the adversary attacks via twi. As boundaries are slowly eroded one finds oneself controlled by Other People - Cult leaders slowly indoctrinate a person to the point that all one can give goes to the furtherance and survival of the cult. The value and delusion of the counterfeit is increased by its nearness to the likeness of to the genuine is used to trap one in Religion - Twi is its own mash up of plagarized material extrapolated from various, and sundry. un-cited sources. A hodge podge of secular, spiritist, and Christian ideals that bind the unsuspecting student in reverence to Idols - Victor Paul Wierwille is twis idol. An honest assessment of that mans life is a case study of the adversaries methods and means utilized by that wolf in sheeps clothing. He greedily fed on the flock of young women, while using donations to live a life of drunken extragavence. So yeah. Im calling bs on a good portion of the material i was taught in the old dta class. Im sure the new dta is just whats needed for this day and time... ... at this point im sure its moved into the caregory of proven ministry research and is above reproach. A real gem sitting on a velvet pillow, sparkling refracted light in many wondrous directions....its just tremendous....

Hey, there's a new dta class by the way international! Im sure its the old class offered by twi except highly sanitized of craig martindale, but hey....its new!!, And its an audio class, so now when the teachers leave it wont matter because nobody saw their faces...lol....ok....carry on as u were. http://theway.org/topic.php?page=news&lang=en&m=1

RnR puts out teachings on their facebook page at regular imtervals with various teachers, all ex corps of course. The teachings are not presented in the same powdered milktoast style as twi, but doctrinally the same as twi whether right, wrong, or indifferent. For me there was not much to see so i kinda kept it moving after the first few minutes of the presentations.

Yeah, if there was a ministry program that i could sign up for i did. My last assignment was on the presidunce cabinet and was an exercise in futility...but....yes...ive been all around the way tree and climbed up and down that sucker too. The micromanagement by twi increased the deeper one went down the rabbit hole. And why wouldnt you want leadership looking over your finances? You are keeping your spiritual goals first? Right? Arent you willing to submit to the higher powers in the church? Etc...
-
Athletes of the Spirit was corny as fuq. End of story. Even rosie n donna have disavowed all knowledge of that pos production. On a side not a couple of my in rez way corps peers witnessed to the seed of the serpent lady from AOS in Colorado in 2002. Needless to say she didnt want to come to fellowship....lol

Not sure it was mandated on the same level personal schedules were, or set in stone the same as the pregnancy policy for active corps, but yes i lived through this with my branch coordinator soon after i got involved with twi. Since my "spiritual goals" were to go way disciple and way corps i was asked submit my personal budget and had it restructured and approved by my branch coordinator. I had my abs increased and my priorities realigned financially to fit more inline with what martindale was spewing from his lectern. I was expected to submit my budget on a regular basis as well as my proposed and actual schedule each week. If u wanted to pursue ministey programs then it was expected that u fall in line with what was asked of you by leadetship. Incrementally, like orhers, my boundaries were removed and i had no idea of the steady erosion that had occured until years later.
