Happy Birthday Craig, hope it's a wonderful one.

I thought it some great words too! I never make resolutions because I know I won't keep them, so I like the 'just for today' part. Indeed, Dove, we do never know if we even get the next minute; good to live as if we might not. Much simpler and I can do this minute, this day.

JUST FOR TODAY, I will live through this day only. I will not brood about yesterday or obsess about tomorrow. I will not set far-reaching goals or try to overcome all of my problems at once. I know that I can do something for 24 hours that would overwhelm me if I had to keep it up for a lifetime. JUST FOR TODAY, I will be happy. I will not dwell on thoughts that depress me. If my mind fills with clouds, I will chase them away and fill it with sunshine. JUST FOR TODAY, I will accept what is. I will face reality. I will correct those things that I can correct and accept those I cannot. JUST FOR TODAY, I will improve my mind. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration. I will not be a mental loafer. JUST FOR TODAY, I will make a conscious effort to be agreeable. I will be kind and courteous to those who cross my path, and I'll not speak ill of others. I'll improve my appearance, speak softly, and not interrupt when someone else is talking. Just for today, I'll refrain from improving anybody but myself. JUST FOR TODAY, I will do something positive to improve my health. If I'm a smoker, I'll quit. If I'm overweight, I'll eat healthily — if only just for today. And not only that, I'll get off the couch and take a brisk walk, even if it's only around the block. JUST FOR TODAY, I will gather the courage to do what is right and take responsibility for my own actions. I think this is from Alanon, but so applicable to everyone/thing/where

I'll be home with my favorite 10 year old, watching the ball drop, as well. I've gone out last few years but realized it's not really that much fun for me anymore. Last year there were five others beside myself in a local beer and shot dive, the power went out until 12:15 am, one cheer for the lights, one toast for the new year. whoopie right? Kelly is a much better date and home is a much safer place to toast 2006 with some cranberry juice.

:) This makes me smile. My mother has been collecting stamps since, I think, 1956. It started as a hobby after she had her first baby, my dad was stationed in Army away from his family and she needed something to do. Since then she's got so many stamp books and it's an ongoing project that she's now turned my youngest daughter onto. Her home burned in l997 while she and my step dad were away and when my dad heard about the fire, he hauled butt over there to save my step dads guns and my moms stamp collection. The man ran into a burning home and pulled out his ex-wife's stamp books. Hee hee hee that always tickles me. That's just how special they are to her and he knew it. Oh yeah and he got his ex-wife's husbands guns too. :P I dunno if her stamp collection is worth anything monetarily but they sure give her alot of enjoyment and she's threatened her four children with strange things after she's gone if we don't take care of them, or get what they are worth "if you need food or shelter and then only if absolutely starving". Years ago I found two full books at a yard sale and picked them up for her, very cheap. She squealed "do you have any IDEA what you have here?" hee hee So, I don't know either, but I do know we get scolded if we toss out interesting stamps. My 10 year old and she spend alot! of time 'doing stamps' which provides great conversation, lessons taught, stories shared and who knows what kinds of wonderful memories passed on.

Additionally, if you have to special order or do find locally what you need, get extra so that next time you don't have to wait. Or if you have to special order through a store, ask them to keep the product in their store for you, shop there for other things, get to know them.

LOL Hap, I didn't notice that. hee WW........I agree that both are true, assisted suicide and homicide assistance.

Thanks Ckeer, I thought this thread was tossed out, but I appreciate your input. I've figured it out.

If one in TWI knows they are ill and need medical attention but doesn't get it because of twi teaching on healing, believing and weakness, is that suicide?

I need to be mobile on my computer taking online classes. What do I need to add to my computer to do that? Any suggestions so that the salesguy doesn't talk me into things I don't need, are appreciated. Thanks

:) My 10 year old daughter was 2 when her daddy died while in TWI and she doesn't remember. She has not seen more than pictures of the BOT burying his cremated remains in the woods behind the auditorium, pictures of her sisters visit to the campfire area a few years ago to visit the spot and pictures in a book of the woods and campfire area where daddy was buried. This provides a 'more real' thing for her to see. Thank you very much! The shot of the woods is brief but will be great. Interestingly, you posted this during a time when she's been watching old home movies of daddy. Very cool, on behalf of a 10 year old little girl.

Not sure about the wife's name. Debbie, Patty? Maybe North Dakota?
