well, as i previously pointed out, i think that this is a moot point because vpw's teachings are fatally flawed! but i will still give an answer... truth remains truth at all times... however, the teachings of a false prophet (although they may contain minute traces of truth) when taken as a whole and in the context of how they were taught BECOMES A DISTORTION OF THE TRUTH! every false prophet sprinkles their teachings with trace amounts of truth, or else no one would follow them... those trace amounts of truth are the hook upon which false prophets build their house of cards... but when taken in the context of the false prophets teachings, they become a distortion... and a distortion of the truth is better known as A LIE! now the reason this happened is because of who vpw is/was (i.e. a lying, hypocritical, power-hungry, lust-filled man) peace, jen-o

whitedove, you don't really think that false prophets go around claiming that they are such... not really, whitedove... i'm talking about the biblical definition of false prophet... you know just because pfal (or any other vpw teachings) never gave you the official twi position on what a "false prophet" is doesn't mean that you can't read about it for yourself in the bible...

pond, honey, it's "sociopath" not "social path" (although those "social paths" might be nice at a garden party)

copenhagen, are you serious? peace, jen-o

whitedove, you DID what?... you certainly DID NOT tell me what the "norm" for this topic was previous to your last post... this is the FIRST time that you have mentioned that the "norm" was that "children were corrected"... and that is a very VAGUE statement which can mean MANY different things to many different people... ex. some people "correct" their kids with a switch or a belt, and call it a "whoopin"... some people "correct" their kids with a wooden spoon (if ya know what i mean) some folks "correct" their kids with a time-out, or loss of privileges... you really are not all that specific about twi's "norm", not even for this one topic... maybe that's because there was no real "norm"... but if you think there was, i would ask you to be more specific... btw, what do you mean that "by definition, it (the norm) can change on a case by case basis"?? the word "norm" by definition does not change at all... there is nothing within the definition of this word to indicate "change"... peace, jen-o

wow, whitedove... are you doing this on purpose?? i.e. not reading what i write, and taking it out of context?? whitedove, the ~~~~ lines are meant to DIVIDE 2 separate topics (i tried to make 2 separate posts, but the system just tacked on my 2nd post to the first one) however, i didn't think i had to S-P-E-L-L everything out for ya... my statement that you apparently didn't read what's written is REFERENCING the quote of yours that is directly above it... to wit, you didn't READ WHAT WAS WRITTEN, whitedove... i said FALSE PROPHET! (there is a difference, ya know) my sentence about garbage had nothing to do with "reading what is written"... ya know, the bible says that a person becomes like the idols they worship... if a person worships an idol of stone, they become like stone (which has no feelings) and if they worship created idols of stone, wood, etc. that have ears but do not hear and eyes but do not see; then they become like those idols and CANNOT hear or see...... and if a person worships a man (named vpw) whose logic was flawed and whose understanding was darkened (by his own lusts); then a person starts to have fuzzy thinking, and CANNOT follow logic... i'm just saying; if the shoe fits (and i hope it doesn't) idol worship is a serious thing...

i have a problem with GARBAGE, whitedove...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ and it also appears that some folks have not followed their idol's advice to "read what's written"...

dear jeff, but of course... i will add you to my friend's list! :) peace, jen-o -
i'm not so sure about that, oldies... however, it's a moot point anyway because there is so much error in vpw's teachings (which are based on false premises) that they are a complete waste of time and lead to both doctrinal and practical error.... whitedove, i'm not referring to vpw's plagiarism, alcoholism, lust for sex, lust for power, lust for money, or moral decay (in your own words)... i'm referring to the teachings themselves!... and the teachings are GARBAGE! how much rat poisoning do you want to eat? peace, jen-o

hey... i'm gonna have to remember that line... that's a good one!

whitedove, i know how "words work", i know what the definition of "norm" is, i know that you are applying this definition to the group of twi, etc. i don't need a vocab or grammar lesson!!... why can't you just answer the question: what do YOU consider to be "the norm" for twi?? i.e., what do YOU consider to be "typical" for twi?? and i am wondering what "typical/norm" you are referring to... can you give me specifics on what YOU consider to be "typical/the norm" for twi?? i don't want to know what is NOT the norm... tell me, what the norm IS... [you cannot say that something is not the norm, if you don't know what the norm is] peace, jen-o

rascal wrote: "a man filled with the spirit of God just wouldn't have done these things" rascal, that's why i question whether or not vpw was truly born again... these are not the kinds of "mistakes" and "errors" that spirit-filled people make... personally, i can only conclude that vpw was a false prophet who loved the attention (fame) and the money (fortune)... peace, jen-o -
i would have put it this way: if a pre-med student is taking an anatomy class, and finds out that the teacher is teaching inaccurate information because he is being paid to do so (by a bogus research group); then the student has an ethical duty to expose the teacher and his teachings... whitedove, the bible says to beware of false prophets... peace, jen-o p.s. i do not believe that it is possible to teach scripture ACCURATELY and lead a double life on the side... Balaam tried that, and look what happened to him...
-
um, whitedove, i know what the word "norm" means... i was asking you what you considered to be "the norm" for twi...
-
it is NOT negative to WARN people about deceptive error (some of it dangerous error)...
-
what is "the norm"??
-
well... if you don't "join" and become a "member", then how is it that a person can be kicked out?? you have to belong to something before you can get kicked out of it... in other words, you can't get kicked out of something you never "joined" in the first place...
-
dear shiftthis, i think i'd better warn you... you will read a lot of things at the greasespot cafe that are gonna conflict with your current view of twi... there are many people here who have experienced things that you, evidently, have not (and have no knowledge of)... however, i hope that you will not insult them by calling them liars... one additional thing: you don't really think that every criminal is prosecuted and put behind bars, do you?? ROFLOL sorry, i just think that is a funny joke... peace, jen-o

kimberly, i'm pretty computer illiterate, too... LOL but if you go to the top of the screen (on the right hand side), you should be able to click on "my controls", and that should bring you to your account (and the place where you can add avatars and quotations to your posts... peace, jen-o p.s. maybe someone else can explain things better... like i said, i am computer illiterate also...

gee, rascal, i'm not sure that i want to "get it"... if "getting it" means that i become so emotionally invested in a message board that i feel like physically harming someone else... peace, jen-o :) -
"vic" was very infantile... i think he was emotionally stunted at the level of adolescence... how else to explain his bizarre fascination with slang terms for body parts in the CF&S class...

if people feel so angry that they give voice to physical violence, then they need to take a step back (imo) that level of anger being directed at a poster on a message board is MISPLACED and MISDIRECTED (again, imo) sure we all get annoyed with various posters from time to time, but this kind of intense anger is over the top... i really don't get it... this is just a message board, peeeple... -
i think that a case can be made in a court of law that vpw (and others like him) were indeed 100% responsible... a case can be made based on both proximate legal cause and cause-in-fact... BUT FOR the actions of vpw/twi, the person would NOT have committed suicide... personally, i have experienced this level of despair... at the time, i was NOT involved with the "way" ministry, but i wonder what would have happened if i was...
