    Bible Funnies

    Hey T-Bone...you understand!
  3. A few years ago on the 4th of July, my Step-son and I were shooting fireworks off the back deck. It had rained about an hour prior to that, everything was wet,...NO problem! We were shooting bottle rockets from a large wooden crate loaded with peat moss (which was loose and very easy to launch bottle rockets from. My wife says, "You guys take those somewhere else, you'll burn the deck down." Now she had just been discharged from the hospital and was recouping and I thought this poor women is still under the influence of anesthesia, because I had everything under control, "just go inside, we got it"! I failed to think (imagine that) about when the bottle rockets when up, the sparks went down (into the peat moss) Around 4am the next morning, there was a loud and rapid pounding on our front door and these two teenagers going fishing said, "Sir, the back of your house is on fire"! I grabbed the garden hose and put out the deck fire before it melted all the siding...Dana called the fire department then it got scary...she sat me down on the couch, and beginning at my birth commenced to rip me a new one, up one side & down the other...I just sat there and responded, "yes mame...yes mame" We laugh about it now (I think anyway)...but when she was giving me the repremand, her eyes were so big and glaring and staring at me...why it burned a hole in my gut... Now when the mommy stare is coming on, the kids, the dogs and I scatter & take cover There ya have it!
  4. Congrats' Belle Now here is what you're goign to do: 1. Drive to a nearset major airport 2. When you see the great big Airforce cargo plane (C130)...drive over to it and they'll load it up for you 3. After your lovely, calming & relaxing 21 hr flight, drive off onto the Baghdad International airfield 4. Turn right, turn left, go straight, turn left 12 times, turn right 13 times go straight; honk the horn 16-1/2 times, I'll come running out of my clinic and we can test drive it in the sand What do you think?
  5. Yes, Christmas cards. This is coming early (really early) so that you can get ready to include an important address to your list. Send the ACLU a CHRISTMAS CARD this year. It may brighten up their world. Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it. Here's the Address, just don't be rude or crude. ACLU 125 Broad Street 18th Floor New York, NY 10004 So spend 39 cents and wish the ACLU a Merry Christmas.

  11. one evening my wife and I were out to dinner and a lady approached our table and reminded me that I cared for her mother or sister when I worked in oncology. Then she proceeded to tel me about her thyroid or Hemorrhoids or something? I finished my dinner, but I didn't send her a card Seriously, that is a great personal touch and should be done by more of us! I usually send an email to a patient after a visit here with the following: I am feeling: 1: Better, thanks Smokey 2: No change yet 3: Worse, you need to find another line of work Thanks for sharing that BB

  13. Vicious Dogs Attacks Gator in Florida At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty. The alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the "apex predator" in it's natural ecosystem, can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and "survival of the fittest pack mentality" bred into the canines over the years. Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from opening its powerful jaw, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator. see pix below
