Hee-hee! Hey guys.. yeah that was fun, huh? sudo
-
Kathy, Look at what I see when you post.. here's a screen capture: sudo
-
Rick, Right. of course.. Harry C. Jr. Nice tune, huh? I can tell a pretty good difference in quality between the two I posted though and Kathy.. I didn't understand what you were asking me.. about using 'and' in transporting or something?? sudo
-
Oh, no doubt, Morgan... It's a Christmas special circa 1965? I'd a thought it was a "gimme". A classic. sudo
-
Doesn't everyone get a little tired of some of the same old Christmas songs year after year?? I'm about up to HERE with "Santa baby.. coming down the chimney tonight". Ok.. its kinda' fun listening to the first 50 times you hear it But here's one *I* like and am hoping ya'll like as well. In fact.. I like this version a LOT!! Click HERE! and name the famous person singing. And I'd like to bring up another issue right now if that's OK.. Here's the good MP3 version (Click HERE!) and it's a lot better if you have good speakers so why question to you guys is... on YOUR computer.. is there any real difference between the two for you?? sudo
-
It's Christmas time, folks, and you know what that means... fun stuff posted. I LOVE this time of year! So here's one for Christmas time about "the perfect couple". Thanks to Rick (Bluzeman) for the server space where I placed this! Click HERE! and hit the continue buttons when they appear. sudo (wondering if folks are going to think this is sexist )
-
Yes yes.. Perry Como. You guys are great. I LOVE this time of year!! sudo P.S. Naw, Rick.. I have no idea what the relationship of NLG would have to Carol Burnett. Was Harvey Korman from Georgia or something?
-
We have ourselves TWO things going on here now.. Christmas music AND nostalgia. So combining the two of them.. Click HERE! and name the Italian guy who did Christmas specials on TV. He died just a few years back and had Alzihemer's disease. Sheesh.. if only I could have appreciated these guys more when I was young. sudo
-
Hey Mary Poppins!! I was at Advanced class PFAL '81 that was held in Scotland. Were you there by any chance?? Nearly all UK TWI-ites were in attendance but you may not be old as the hills like I. sudo
-
Rick, Play it again using Windows Media Player. Look at the information it gives you :P. Morgan saw it. sudo
-
I dunno if it's really Mick in the background.. I've got a good copy of the song and I think if you pay attention it COULD be someone else! Click HERE! sudo

Ex, Your son is learning a great lesson here. I admire the coach for sticking to his guns and not letting this slide. This is real life training Ex and you ought to appreciate the value of it. I'd say your husband's working more to pay for hocky is well worth the money paid. In the real world, kids are penalized for being tardy to school even if they are being carpooled by parents. In the real world, if parents are too lazy to get their kids up to go to school and they miss entire days, they flunk. Your son is learning a very valuable lesson which is that he is ultimately responsible for what is expected of him. He's learning that he pays the price when others let him down. Even at his tender years he could be learning that he might have to try to arrange other transportation himself if he can't rely on his parents. In the real world, the other parents and kids don't care if the reason he was late was because of his parents. If they have to be at practice on time then everyone should have to be at practice on time in their view. If one child gets a free ride because his parents run late, then why should THEY have to worry about being on time? Very valuable lessons indeed. sudo

Cowgirl, Congratulations girl!! Now what did I say? I TOLD you that you were going to get it. And now that we all know you know how to post tunes... we'll be expecting some more from you! I like Go Tell It On A Mountain, too. In fact.. I like most Christmas songs. Uh, maybe I could do without the dogs barking Jingle Bells, though? :P Now George and others... a little hint on the song Pawtuckett sent me (Click HERE!) The musical instrument most associated with this performer is heard strumming in the background at the 10 second mark and continues for only about 8 seconds where it fades out nearly entirely. What's that instrument, folks? And who is the singer?? sudo
-
No Rick, Don't worry about it but what I WOULD like to know is... you never took a stab at my Rockettes tune... now that you know it was toy soldiers Santa was talking about.. is it at all your cup of tea? What I mean is, we all have different tastes in music. Some like Blues, some rock, some jazz, some classical etc... but really watching the rockettes perform to this music was very moving for me. Click HERE! and go to the 50 second mark. sudo

George, Yes, I was a little bit uncomfortable with Rick's post, too, primarily because it seemed to be real children singing the crude lyrics. Not that I'm any angel, heck, I posted Walkin' 'Round In Women's Underwear myself. But back in the 50's and 60's you couldn't even say the words on that song on TV shows because they were considered too crude but today we have children singing them? Maybe I'm a wrinkled up old prude :( Now for the tune that Paw sent me... I have to say I was surprised. Click HERE! Yes.. your first impression is probably correct as to who this is. I didn't edit it for lenght either as I find it interesting as to how the singer had been managed. This was obviously not his style. What's you guys' take on it?? sudo

Cowgirl, You were oh so close... you were off by a space. See, you didn't put a space between 'a' and 'href'. You posted ahref=.. Like I said... HTML code is very unforgiving. It makes you do it EXACTLY to work. But there is that other matter I told you about.. there is no song named simple.mp3 in the Cowgirl folder and that's what all that link stuff is all about... letting everybody hear the file you've placed in your folder. You have to rename the song and then upload that song. Actually, you can just go to your folder and rename it there, if you'd prefer. You're so close! Kathy and George... Ya'll got it! Santa's favorite is the toy soldier and what were the Rockettes doing to help Santa show this? Why marching in precision drills like I used to do in the marching band. You don't much of that any more in high school bands but it was standard back in the 1960's. I wish you guys could have seen it. It's magnificent to watch.. Listen again! Click HERE! You might want to jump to the 50 sec. mark. sudo
-
Kathy, You should be able to FTP in just to see what's there. If not, then maybe I have super powers I was unaware of :P . Hee-hee! sudo
-
Cowgirl, Don't go getting discouraged.. you're very close. Just do exactly as I say... HTML code is very unforgiving. I see you've uploaded your song again only you didn't change the name of the song BEFORE YOU UPLOADED IT! Change the name first. You want to change the name to simple.mp3 then do so before uploading it then.. here's what you type in your post.. <a href=http://mail.bluzecentral.net/~cowgirl/simple.mp3>HERE!</a> to get the link pointing to the word HERE! I think you might get it the next time :) sudo
-
Cowgirl, I just checked and there are no songs in your (cowgirl) folder on Rick's server. Upload the song with a short name (and no spaces like kathy stated) and then link to it exactly in the example. sudo
-
Cowgirl, Congratulations! You've successfully uploaded one of your songs!! You just haven't successfully LINKED to it :P. First, you have to rename your song that you uploaded... the name's too long. Instead of "Billy Dean - Simple Things.mp3" rename it BDST.mp3 for example. Then you type something like this in your post... "Hey everybody!! Look at the cool tune I have for ya'll click <a href=http://mail.bluzecentral.net/~cowgirl/BDST.mp3>HERE!</a> and listen!!" Only you have to choose the HTML on - Auto Linebreak Mode under Post Options for it to work. Try it... you'll LIKE it!! Hee-hee! sudo

Rick, How come I'm just hearing about this info on the Chipmunks THIS year? We've played that song every year! And please don't tell me you've posted this info every year at Christmas time because that would be depressing for me to know I can't remember stuff anymore. Kathy.. thanks for taking a stab at my Santa and Rockettes tune. I'm assuming everyone else clicked on it but didn't know. And.. it's not the most exciting piece around but it WAS my favorite from the Christmas Spectacular. So here's a hint.. I really understand what the Rockettes went through because I was in the marching band in high school and college and did precision drills very similar to the ones the Rockettes were doing. So.. it that helps any... Click HERE! and name Santa's favorite toy. Just what is it the Rockettes are doing to help Santa share it with us now?? sudo

Ron, Hee-hee!! I'm stealing those Arkansas jokes and forwarding them on in e-mail. sudo (think I'll change 'em all to Mississippi)

Deja Vu? You guys knew I was at the Gaylord Opryland this past weekend and I've been wanting to post a tune or tune but have gotten distracted. Paw has sent me another tune, too, which you guys are going to get a big hoot out of. But first... We loved the Rockettes. We saw them just a couple of weeks ago in New York but we enjoyed them nearly as much at the Gaylord. We also saw Pam Tillis but the Rockettes were my favorite. And this tune was my favorite part of the show. Click HERE! and name Santa's favorite toy. Just what is it the Rockettes are doing to help Santa share it with us now?? sudo

Sushi, That chipmunk song is pure nostalgia for me. I was in elementary school when it came out.. during the Hula-Hoop fad. I listen to that song and I always see my childhood friend Jeff Stovall. His family had just moved to a bigger house in a nicer fancier neighborhood than the one we lived in. I was at his new house visiting and he had the 45 RPM record of this song. You know kids.. we played it over and over again. I'm thinking the year was 1962 Maybe??? sudo P.S. Jeff had a cute sister named Terry. Their mother died this past Summer and I went to the funeral home for visitation. My how we all change.

Cowgirl, A fishing song, maybe? Maybe that Ray Stevens song, Never Go Fishing With a Man Too Drunk to Fish?? Probably not :P . You guys knew I was at the Gaylord Opryland this past weekend and I've been wanting to post a tune or tune but have gotten distracted. Paw has sent me another tune, too, which you guys are going to get a big hoot out of. But first... We loved the Rockettes.
