Hey Jonny!! This one's for you, dude! Now how can you not love this clip, huh? Makes me want to put on a garter belt just watching it. oooohh.. he's hot!! Hee-hee! sudo (either you *get* Rocky Horror or you don't :( )

Kathy and George, Neither. But its my fault for being vague so that means you can put the blame on Sudo. Which makes no sense at all until you watch the following clip HERE! Its the one I was telling ya'll about. Pretty tame by today's standards but considered sizzling by 1948 standards. Towards the end of the clip she starts taking off a glove and it was considered a "strip tease". She was married several times (including Orson Wells and Prince Aly Khan) and later in life she said, "Men go to bed with Gilda, but they wake up with me". Kind of sad. She developed Alzheimer's disease early and died in 1987 at only age 68. But at this point in her career she was something else! sudo

Kathy got it!! sudoP.S. Still waiting for anyone wanting to see the Mame video

Tops, Ah! OK.. it sounds a little scratchy on my end. I have Paradise and Two Out Of Three both on my hard drive. sudo (wondering if Tops knows how I could hear her file when Kathy couldn't)

I was real tickled to see the Rocky Horror thread Belle started because I've always been a fan. I was also a little surprised at how popular it was with a lot of us even though we were innies when it came out. Lawd, I can just imagine what the leaders said about this movie. Hee-hee! And want to know why we were so crazy about it? The underlying sensuality! THAT'S what, IMO. Even dial-up users should be able to hear these just fine so listen and vote! A perfect Halloween poll, huh? 1) Hot Pattotie Bless My Soul! featuring Meatloaf click HERE! 2)Toucha' Toucha' Touch Me! click HERE! 3)Sweet Transvestite click HERE! 4)There's a Light click HERE! sudo

Tops, I recognize that as a Meatloaf song but I don't recognize who is singing this version. :( sudoP.S.. back to my Rita Hayworth movie.. anyone remember the most famous scene?? What she did that REALLY sizzled??

Anybody want me to post the songs?? :) sudo

Kathy, I thought you might really like this one! This is a car advertisement from Great Britain. When they finished filming the ad, the film editor noticed something moving along the side of the car, like a ghostly white mist. They found out that a person had been killed a year earlier in that exact same spot. The ad was never put on TV because of the unexplained ghostly phenomenon. Watch the front end of the car closely as it clears the trees in the middle of the screen and you'll see the white mist crossing in front of the car then following it along the road....Spooky! Is it a ghost, or is it simply mist? You decide. If you listen to the ad, you'll even hear the cameraman whispering in the background about it near the end of the commercial. A little creepy but it seems to be authentic! You may need to turn up the volume a bit to hear it! Click HERE! sudo (teaching Kathy about deleting her posts willy nilly)

Linda Z, I love you, you know, but this is a controversial topic. On the one hand people could get outraged that civilized society has sunk as low as the criminal and taken the life of a human being. On the other hand people could get outraged that it took the state 17.2 years too long to carry out a just sentence. Personally? I err on the side of caution. I don't know the particulars about this case but there are too many people freed by DNA evidence who were on death row. sudo

George, Re:"I haven't seen this movie (including THAT CLIP, whatever that will be)..." Granted. If you haven't seen the movie then you don't know what THAT CLIP would be but what about those who have seen it and/or familiar with what is most famous from that movie? Any guesses what that would be folks? And hey!! We haven't had any ladies commenting yet. Now I THOUGHT they might be yawning but oh man.. how seductive this actress was on screen. sudo

Trustandobey, Mo started this thread to explain Mormon beliefs... not justify them. Most fundamentalist religious groups think their beliefs are the only true beliefs. I have a Fundamentalist Baptist lady who works for me that believes the Catholics are going to Hell when they die because they aren't saved. You believe that the Mormons are incorrect in their beliefs. That stands to reason because if you didn't, you'd be a Mormon, right? :) sudo

I've got an old movie clip for you guys! Yep.. recorded off TCM again. This lady was some kind of alluring and beautiful on the screen but as the TCM host was saying, she didn't have it off screen. The ladies here will probably be scratching their heads about why the guys went ga-ga over her :) . Click HERE! And for those of you who know the actress and the movie... yes... I also have THAT clip to post later! sudo

Watersedge, Problem for you, sir, is that people are wise to you here. sudo

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day. The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her e-mail address, and without realizing his error, sent the e-mail. Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack. The widow decided to check her e-mail expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read: To: My Loving Wife Subject: I've Arrived Date: October 17, 2006 I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send e-mails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then ! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was. P.S. Sure is hot down here ! sudo

Rick, George got it, huh? We've played that theme on occasion here but I didn't realize until this very day that it was Sebastian all along. sudo

OK guys.. My curiosity is up. Anyone have the URL for Jim's site? I know I must be in the dark but it doesn't sound familiar to me. Jim WHO?? sudo

WG, Good advice but you're assuming the incident actually happened as stated. It sounds a little far fetched to me. sudo

Retirement planning: (from a state with return/deposit program). If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00. With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left. But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00. Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle. It's called the 401-Keg Plan sudo

I remember the Robin Hood series well but then.. I have a few years on some here. Click on the picture below of Robin Hood to see a short clip. Look familiar?? sudo

Looks like this might be a good time to recapitulate. We had so much being posted I didn't want to jump in and derail so to speak. But going back several days, I failed to answer Hiway29 about his guess. Actually, turns out he wasn't guessing. I had posted a clip (HERE!) and Hiway29 knew the actor was Arthur Treacher of fish and chips fame. Anyone remember those fish and chips places? I didn't care for the way they did the fish and thought it probably Americanized. The fish was probably done differently in England but I do digress, don't I?? Here's another clip from the same movie.. oh, and I forget.. was it Tops who guessed the movie? But yes, it was about the little girl who searched the hospitals fo her daddy.. The Little Princess. Only in this longer clip of the dream sequence (click (HERE!) we see a future television Robin Hood and Batman Joker. Does anyone recognize them? sudo
-
Tops, I enjoyed your video but since nobody's commented I have to know.. Who *IS* that exactly? He doesn't sound like the lead singer of The Lovin' Spoonfuls to me. And Chas... I much prefer her in high heels and garters sudo
-
Kathy, Looks like he has a complexion problem, eh? sudo

Belle, Re:"I like these two and even have pictures of me somewhere around the house in these poses from my college days." I think we'll have to *see* those pics posted here so we can all be in agreement as to authenticity and veracity. sudo

A man was walking home alone late one foggy night, when behind him he hears: BUMP... BUMP... BUMP... Walking faster, he looks back and through the fog he makes out the image of an upright casket banging its way down the middle of the street toward him. BUMP... BUMP... BUMP... Terrified, the man begins to run toward his home, the casket bouncing quickly behind him FASTER... FASTER... BUMP... BUMP... BUMP... He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him. However, the casket crashes through his door, with the lid of the casket clapping clappity-BUMP... clappity-BUMP... clappity-BUMP... on his heels, the terrified man runs. Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps. With a loud CRASH the casket breaks down the door. Bumping and clapping toward him. The man screams and reaches for something, anything, but all he can find is a bottle of cough syrup! Desperate, he throws the cough syrup at the casket... and .... (keep scrolling) (hopefully you're ready for this!!!) The coffin stops. sudo

Belle, That was absolutely GREAT! I'm the vintage that knew nearly every one of them. Oh, the ones that were over by 1955 I didn't know but I was amazed to keep seeing the dates they ran and how I remembered well those that were over by 1959. Thanks! Tops.. yes Arlo had a very memorable song. It was popular when I was at Ole Miss and I actually rode that train down to New Orleans once. sudo
