I remember a fella in a church up north told me you went to hell if you smoked.....guess he thought there was smoke in hell,or somethin'...Furthermore he said if God had wanted you to smoke he would have turned your nose upside-down and made a chimney out of it...Then I went down south to this same man's brethren-of this man's church,same denomination,you see,and I was given the surprise of my life-it was really shocking!...as the English would say,or the Australians,...really shocking...Up north you went to hell,down south,they were smoking like fiends!...Smokin' like a house-afire...Same brand....That was the reason they were so sad,you see....

Hey,Shipper... What's the figure of speech for "the ways of the sons of man with a maid"?.....I can't get anybody to come over and clean my house...

One snafu I remember at the chalet my first week on way builders,Buddy C. and I were pounding sheetrock nails,I think it was,on one of the walls,and we heard all this crashing...It was all the bathroom tile from the opposite side of the wall falling off into the bathtub....

It seems like I remember the Irish historically being looked down on by the mainstream when they migrated in droves during the potato famine...I interact quite a bit with the Latino population here,including all the employees and manager at my bank,other businessmen,many of the school staff etc. I think anybody who lives in an area with a large Latino population would think that the movie's approach,or 'message' to be somewhat outdated.... That's not to say that changing demographics in a localized area is without it's problems,but it does seem to take a generation or two for immigrants to'fit in'and progress from being 'bottom feeders' economically....

Did anybody mention writing sponsors letters once a month? "Dear Spiritual Partner, I'm really getting blessed...I'm really learning alot...I'm really seeing the family...I'm really seeing the greatness of the Word...I'm really believing God for a new pair of size 11 cowboy boots...And a size 40 blue(100%wool)suit...and a box of cookies in the mail..."

I don't have very high hopes for it,either...I didn't read the whole website,but it seems like the movie is attempting to lampoon that small percentage of the population that wishes all the Mexicans would go back to Mexico...Otherwise,IMHO,it only further adds to the stereotype of the Latino population,as if their only value to the overall community is to do the 'dirty work"...
