Holy! Holy! Holy! Merciful and Mighty! God in three persons Blessed Trinity

So those who knew of Andrea's inability and capability share some of the culpability, thus accountability for the drownings that were her responsibility, and if guilty, with civility sent to the proper facility....
-
I'll say this much...I doubt many living persons will have seen the Cubs' last World Series victory and the next one...
-
Tom,what problen?...Things moving by themselves or having a spousal unit?
-
Maybe it's just a thing with guys named Randy this week....
-
Linda, you weren't the only one to have a crush on ol' Wally...I remember an old Alfred Hitchcock Presents or One Step Beyond episode where he was an operater of this giant computer named Agnes or something and 'she' kept giving him bad advise on his other dates because she was secretly in love with him...Anyway,I thought he and that guy who won all those 'Jeopardy's' looked alot alike...

Good ol' Orville Overall pitches a three-hit shutout...God,in those days, you talk about weak hitting....Seemed like every pitcher had an ERA under 3.00....'Course,they didn't have the long ball to drive in runs in bunches...It was probably more like Highschool freshman baseball is today as far as hitting goes....Few freshman can hit a ball 350 feet on a consistant basis so you have to try and bunch your hits together to score runs,or steal a lot more...

I hate to seem like an old coot that just long's for the old days, but geez, the opponent's fans are supposed to hate your guts and razz you the whole game....That's what they pay good money for....What could GB's fans have done to bring that about? It's just another example of the punks taking over the game who wouldn't know accountability if it bit 'em in the as s...

Now THAT was funny as hell....

Today, after Randy Moss' second touchdown reception against the Packers,he ran over to the goalpost, pretended to drop his drawers and shoot all the fans in Green Bay the moon... It seems like people who score Td's keep trying to play Can You Top This? when it comes to their end zone 'celebrations'...Of course, the commentaters all said he should be fined heavily by the NFL for his actions..which I would agree...This is a highly paid professional athlete...It seems like only in professional sports can a person be dumber than dirt, arrogantly vulgar to those who pay him(the fans),make gobs of $$$,and still have job security(ever heard of a talented player being fired?)...

Sounds like fun...I don't remember the name of the movie, but one of my favorite dialog's in it was a part where Robin Williams was an analyst and Matthew Damian was some kind of genius and his patient...Williams was excitedly telling Damian about how he was at Game 6 of the '75 World Series, and Damian says "Wow,so you saw Pudge's homer?",and Williams just replied something like,"No,I was too mesmerized by the blue-eyed girl at the beer garden, and I missed it"...But he did end up marrying her.... I liked when Gowdy and Kubek did games...I think in those days the cather just wore a regular cap backwards and a small mask, and the ump had to hold up his own chest protector...and I think they wore ties....

I'll let that lunchroom in Emporia time die a natural death...

Actually,on Eyechart's name I had the newspaper in front of me when I was posting...I think there's too many angles to look at to decide who really owns the ball...But sportswriter's do like to start some sh!t and then step back and say "fight'em,buddy,I'll hold your jacket".... As far as the Cubs,I'm usually a morning newspaper reader, and the Az. republic will say nothing about the other teams besides the D-backs until spring workouts start,so I'm a little in the dark...Workouts start before Spring Training games and are worth my son and I playing hookie a few times for and just hanging around and watching...Last year the Cubs had a few old hired hands helping out,Billy Williams,Fergie Jenkins,Ryne Sandberg....And just standing ten feet away from them while they're talking to the younger players about technique, strategy,or clowning around, when you know you should be working or in school,...it's like being in heaven,or maybe Iowa....

Just out of curiousity,I wonder if guns are required to have warning labels like "Warning: Squeezing trigger may cause serious injury or death"...

You either added the line about not being able to change the channel,or the one about the guy only doing paid interviews... I wouldn't worry about the lawsuit,though...It says it was a handwritten lawsuit and the guy was a paralegal...Which means he's probably an unemployed paralegal if he couldn't get it typed....It also seems like he couldn't find a real lawyer to file the case for him....

Happy afterbirthday,Tom...I mean, belated birthday...I'll have to confess my broken fellowship.....
-
Hey,Mstar,...what do you think of Doug Mientkiewicz wanting to keep the ball that the Bosox recorded the last out in the World Series with?...CEO Larry Lucchiano thinks he should give it back to the Sox so they can have it in their archives...
-
Yeah, you're right about the popularity contests when it comes to voting....By the way,who is your pick for the women's indoor field hockey National Championship this year?
-
Pirate, What's wrong with having that payoff for a mediocre season?....I mean, universities are educational institutions....If some of the money gets spread around through some of these obscure bowl games,I think that's a good thing(tho,I agree, there may be a few too many bowl games)... This year, the NFC is sending two 8-8 teams to the playoffs who should be watching them instead...You wouldn't see that in a Division I College football tournament because with 117 teams there's always going to be plenty of those 'Little Sisters of the Poor' teams to beat up on so the mediocre teams can fatten their record....Even so,with the top 16 teams having to be 'voted' into a BCS tournament, there will always be schools out there who will think they were given a raw deal, especially the one ranked 17th...

So,Nika, which one of us was the lovely one?...So solly about your Sooners...Maybe later for them ;)-->... Yes,we had a wonderful little corpse get-together...We drank with our meal...Rocky handled announcements...Karmic is a real smartass...She even explained her handle to me...Nika is as charming as ever....Her hubs is a nice guy,but he hasn't had the class,so we could really only talk about the sincere 'milk' of the word...I am now ready to go forth as a worker in an area of concern, interest and weed...

Congrats to Rhino and Boggs on getting voted into the Hall...Boggs was a shoe-in....Sandberg's glove definitely heped him get selected....

For what it's worth, though I'm not a rabid college football fan,I kind of like the fact you may have three or four undefeated teams in a season, plus several more conference champs...There's simply too many Division I schools competing every year to install a truly fair playoff system that would eventually crown a national champ... Most college athletes will not go on to play professional football...So the highlight of their athletic careers will be winning the Rose Bowl,or Fiesta Bowl,or the Big Ten Conference or going undefeated in a particular year...So why not spread that "We're Number One" Feeling?...Who cares what the polls say,Auburn and Utah were just as undefeated as USC...Now they'll all have bragging rights the rest of their lives...They're not pros....We don't need to crown a 'true' college champion like the pros do...I sort of like the endless arguments anyway, about who was really the number one team...Sometimes it's more enjoyable to talk about the games that were not played...

That's interesting,Hairy...Somewhere along the line I knew I didn't fit into what would be considered a successful corps category....I could certainly change my habits, but I couldn't change who I was...It took a while, but slowly I began to understand that I didn't fail the program, the program failed me....

One of the running jokes on LEAD,would be when someone was climbing a rock, hanging on for dear life and exerting every possible ounce of strength they could muster to get to the top,to yell out "all I wanted was a class on the Bible"...Even then,I think many people deep down wondered how in the hell did their lives ever go from wanting more harmony in the home to surviving in the wilderness on the side of a cliff...Maybe,like myself, some of us were just determined to see it through the end....The way wasn't going to break me....Somewhere,in-residence,I came to the realization that I was not going to acquire any in-depth spiritual perception and awareness...So,I just did my time...My major regret was disappointment,...almost like I'd been had(Well,I was)...But at least,I thought,I was in good company....

By the way....You mentioned Dock Ellis....Years ago,he confessed to being on LSD when he pitched his no-hitter...
