Maybe it's time for the thread to move to doctrine. I haven't seen a reference to JAL for about 15 posts...

I think Loy got the job because he looked good in a suit. Too bad VPW didn't see him in tights.

Where's Research Geek? I want to know the Biblical perspective on engaging/evading debate.

I guess that if he wanted a dialog, he wouldn't have shut down the CES forums.

In my family we have what is known as the "any damn fool ought to know that" argument conclusion. After stating a premise of any sort, just conclude it with "any damn fool ought to know that" My dad did this for years anytime he wanted to add finality to a statement. Now it's sort of a sick joke with the kids and grandkids.

"pb" to an engineer or chemist sounds too much like lead. *Seriously* good stuff. If you're ever in the SF Bay area, on the east side, go to the Emory Bay Food Court. The Tai food stand has the best vegetarian pad thai that you can imagine. I've been known to drive 60 miles for it.

Satori000, I don't know why but your post reminds me of a P.J. O'Rourke quote made at a long past Democratic Convention - "I was moved by his speech, and it wasn't just because I was drunk". In any case, I think that some thoughtful questions are good, even if JAL doesn't feel like addressing them. At least his followers will read them and think about them.

You left out my favorite, "non sequitur" It must be a good one cause I learned it on Star Trek.

John, One of the main issues I have with the conduct of TWI is the handling of the corporate assets. VPW made it clear that unless we were on the BOT we were mere followers and had absolutely no say in the use of the time and money we contributed. With the present TWI management sitting on an alleged 40+ million dollars, much of it probably socked away during our watch, the error of that policy should be very clear. Of course if you happen to be on the BOT, it probably doesn't seem like an error but "good stewardship" (rolls his eyes). What do you think of this policy and it's end result. How does your organization handle this issue?

What were you hoping to get from twi that you still haven't gotten yet

WB, You're probably confusing me with another Jim. The only sites that I host are corporate and unrelated to TWI or any religion. -

A cease-and-desist letter (: -
Paw, I like it. I'm having a hard time judging because my work monitor has lower resolution than my home monitor. Seems better though. I'm getting old and have to have 3 pairs of glasses close by.

What you have works, but perfect for me would be serif and about 2-4 points larger.

Yeah Zix. Let's let the rest of the group decide.
-
Fortunately I don't have "a little straw Zixar puppet" in my mind. A concept, BTW that I find quite disturbing. No Zix, all I'm looking for is a straight answer. Why are you so interested in getting GS people involved in a dispute at JWO? So interested that you'd misrepresent the meaning of a post.
-
Excellent Zix. The I know you are but what am I reply.
-
That's it? I saw it, I read it, I noted the context. I see no advice to JWO members, just a passive opinion. Perhaps you have some yet unstated motive for stirring up contention between GS and JWO. If so, be honest and say it. If you can't do that, at least paraphrase the JWO posts honestly.
-
Please cut and paste the message text that says that. I've read the whole thread twice and I just don't see it.
-
That's what I don't understand. Zix himself has taken quite a beating over there. I won't go into details, but a quick look at the topics shows one that asks if Zix bears any resemblance to a certain unpleasant medical condition. Is the Padawan Magi out of magic?

Well, there's another entry for the dirty word list. I guess you can always spell it dild0.

Yeah, but you can always say he||...

Yeah, that was the name... Here's some information: http://www.rickross.com/reference/meal/meal25.html

TGO, Every hear of a Virgin Mary/Catholic cult called the Magnificat Meal? I seem to recall that it was somehere in your neighborhood. My sister-in-law was involved with it.

It's probably a "natural leadership ability" thing...

No sense of irony, Zix?
