Jardinero wrote about J.T. The previous limb guy would have been D*l D*ncan? I never heard anything about that. Can you share anything?

Ok, I know this probably should be in the doctrinal forum, but I'd really like to see as many answers as possible. Is Ephesians 6:10-20 a military metaphor or a sports metaphor?

In our town, the shelter was contructed on an a empty lot right off of a busy street. A pretty good witness-by-example. It prompted me to get out the OT and read up on it.

I know it's been covered before, but for those who weren't around last time we talked about it, there's much to be learned from The Stanford Prison Experiment. I won't go into details because the site explains it far better than I can. I think that there are a few parallels between the guards (abusive twi leadership) and the prisoners (abused followers).

This is starting to sound like the movie "A Few Good Men". Did you order a code red?

Well now. That's an interesting can of worms. Sounds pretty stinky to me.

You're going to think me decadent, but I have a 3-car garage. Two spots for the Subies and one for my workshop/machine shop.

Thanks for your insight Abigail. VPW certainly seemed to enjoy depreciating modern-day Jews. But then he also depreciated Catholics and Protestants. About the only religion he didn't seem to depreciate was Hindi. Seems a bit odd, doesn't it?

An interesting side note to all this is how Israel has had to deal with the issue of . Israel passed the law of return in 1950 allowing any Jew the right to immigrate to Israel.

Somebody needed to hit the coordinator. I hope he'll have some explaining to do someday.

The usual "I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advise" disclaimer. The assets of TWI are owned by the corporation, not by the directors. The IRS puts fairly detailed limitations on how the assets can be bought and sold. If the BOD should wish to disband TWI, they would have to give the assets to a "like" non-profit group. So it's a lot more fun to just "play fort".

I believe that at one time, the pilots at TWI even did a flight school for staff that were interested in learning to fly. The good old days.

I buy on ebay a lot. I've bought parts for my 1964 motorcycle, test equipment and laser printers for work, hard to find books and cameras for my collection. It's not as good as it used to be, but still useful. Probably the biggest downside to ebay is that the prices at the local flea markets and second hand stores have gone up and all the good stuff gets culled off for ebay.

Reading Skyrider's post "Kiss your Money Good-bye" reminds me of an expression coined by a good friend of mine: Playing Fort. That's when you get an hardware engineer and a programmer and a salesman together on their off-hours and they come up with a new product idea They work on it amongst themselves, plan how they will produce and market it and how they will divide up the profits. No money to speak off is spent and since nobody is getting paid, there's no way to enforce any discipline to get the work done Most of the time the product never gets beyond the "playing fort" stage. Do you get the feeling that TWI is just "playing fort"? Admittedly, they do spend money, but without any apparent accountability. There's no outreach, no research, just the lame website with the lame music downloads.

Reading any TWI message reminds me of Boardroom Bingo but with a different set of words.

Jonny Lingo said: No. It wasn't "too bad". It was evil. And it was wrong. Those people did a world of hurt and there's no forgiveness until they realize it and make amends. So you've walked in everyone's shoes and you're comfortable with judging their life and walk before God? Sounds like the same corps .... that made me sick in TWI. We're not there anymore. At least I'm not. As to the economy collapsing, where did that come from? Bringing up military training is totally non-sequitur. I paid my dues in the Army so I think I've earned the right to speak my mind. The purpose of military training is to teach you to kill the enemy in the most expeditious way possible. The stated purpose of Way Corps training was to raise up clergy to spread the Word. I'm still real unclear how public ridicule, sleep deprevation and forced route memorization accomplished that.

Keb' Mo, Just Like You... Hello my old friend It's been awhile All our old clothes Are back in style We went our separate ways, Only to return To face a lesson We failed to learn We didn't understand the truth We were blinded by the eyes of youth But time kept on moving And a change has come You think that I don't know Where you're coming from (Chorus:)--> 'Cause I feel just like you And I cry just like you But I heal just like you And under my skin I'm just like you You gave your love and your innocence And they took away your confidence Well you're not those women I'm not those men Put your arms around me I am your friend (Chorus) (Bridge:)--> You and everybody else When I get hurt I cry for help And I've got secrets That god only knows And god knows I feel...

Well said Herbie. I've known TWI nazis that were corps and TWI nazis that were not. I knew Radar when she was in high school. If she became a corps nazi, it wasn't because she didn't have a good heart. We were all corrupted and we all served TWI's purpose. Some joined the corps and gave their lives. Others, like myself, gave money and time. I'm sure there's forgiveness for both.

Christian charity at it's best. Carry on.

LOL. I grew up on the side of the Cascade Mountains. 18" of snow overnight was not unusual. I've explained to my California friends that you could spend an hour shoveling out your car with no guarantee that you'd get further than a block once you could get it onto the street...

Back on topic, I have to concur with ex. My neighbors are all good people. I've had way worse. BTW, we moved away from a neighborhood then went back and visited our next door neighbor (who we liked and got along well with). They said "we didn't know what good neighbors you were until you moved away".

I loved those houses... the best that I could do at the time was a studio apartment on Shoreline. I can't imagine what they are worth today... I suspect your neighbor moved on to "Doper Park" :)-->

Obigitory Bladerunner/Roy Batty Quote I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

I build and sell technology-related equipment. I have essentially no walk-in customers and about thirty percent of my sales are overseas. I depend heavily on the internet, both for sales and tech support. We spend time gaming Google to optimize search results for our type of product and we purchase Google adwords. Keeping the websites current and accurate takes quite a bit of time, but it is way cheaper that what we used to do, which is place magazine ads.
