I fsking hate "reality" tv shows.

Thanks for the tip. That's a new scam I wasn't aware of.

I've used eBay for about 6 years now and it's been a tremendous resource. I've gotten great deals from people that have been more than honest. It all seems to be history now. Of the last 5 deals I've done, I've been screwed on 4 of them. Anyone else had similar experiences?

Something very fitting about a Pirate, an Ivory Coast babe and an internet scam.....

Sorry, only my wife eats them. Oops, hope I don't get moderated for personal information....

Excellent. What kind of fruit. I like grapes...

It was the present time. I was at HQ. I was walking around and there was nobody about. I looked around for security and I didn't see anyone. I walked over to the OSC and walked in. There was nobody in front. I walked back to the A/V shop and found an old friend working alone. He was only mildly surprised that I was there. We started walking around the building. I asked him why he was still there. He said "I should have left when I could." "They should shut the place down, the whole thing, shut it down." "You won't tell them I said that, will you." "No, I won't tell them". And that was it. BTW, the friend I talked to is long gone from TWI. Why he figured into the dream, I don't know.

Dates and times. I was a lowly advanced class grad working at HQ '80-'81 and the vast majority of the corps I worked with were good, decent people. They treated me well and from what I could see, lived righteous lives. Of course, none of the single females would go out with me though (: After I came home I was shocked at what I found.

I don't know, I can still beat my daughter at "Jeopardy" when the category is Bible something... -
Don't worry, it's just love with some teeth in it...

It was more of a case of having Server 2003. I did the Microsoft Partners deal and got a Server 2003 license with it along with 10 Win XP licenses. If I didn't use it, I'd have to use one of the XP licenses. In any case, I don't need any other aps on the server other than the pre-installed Microsoft stuff so it's not an issue. Besides, I think, long-term I'll grow into all the neat Active Directory stuff. Server 2003 also has built-in raid and shadow copy. I set up a second server with 2 hot-swap harddrive bays, each with a 300 gigabyte drive in a mirrored raid configuration. The second server runs a task just before midnight that creates a folder on the mirrored drive and copies over the main server to it. I come in in the morning, break the mirror, pull the drive out and put it in my car, stick in yesterday's drive and resync the mirror, all while the server is running. The closest thing to painless backup, plus a daily history for about 80 days. If you're interested in the tricks it took to get it to work, let me know.

I think you need to clarify what you mean. GS has always been a forum where the members could discuss personal issues. If you mean potentially embarassing, sexual issues of a personal nature, I suggest you move the thread to an adults only section instead of moderating. Whether or not a member discloses personal details on the forums should be left up to the member. Where it is placed should be up to the moderator.

Out of control....

Sorry for your loss. No, don't know anyone that went back.

I think this (registration required) article was the one I was thinking of. A Google search on women midlife crisis turns up a zillion hits.
-
I think it's a midlife crisis thing. I've read that women are more affected by it than men these days. My wife, in the last 2 years, has taken up golf and ballroom dancing, bought a fast car, taken performance driving lessons, gotten LASIK surgery and gone on a cruise. My daughter and I just watch and wonder what's going on. It's a funny world.

I cut my company's server over from Win98se to Server 2003 on Saturday. I'd been working bit by bit on this project for nearly a year. After just remapping the network drives and setting up all the computers and users in the server Active Directory, it looked like everything was working fine. I found out a little later that the Win98 boxen would only see the network drives as if they had 8.3 filenames. After much head banging, I found out that I had not installed a file when I installed Active Directory Client Extensions on them. All appears to be working well now. I'm now fiddling with remote desktop and terminal services and tying the company network to my home network through VPN.

There's 30 years worth of oil on the Al north slope we can't drill because of the environmentalists. There's hundreds of years worth of oil shale in Canada. Of course, none of it will be touched until the investors see the price of oil go up to where they make a decent profit.

I never *really* worried until my daughter got her drivers license.

My wife and I visited back in '82 on our honeymoon. I thought I was coming down with a cold so I stayed in the cabin. She hiked down and back in one day and took another day to recover.

Vickles, check your pt.

Vickles, sorry but I never got the notification. If you want to try again, I'll watch.

Here's a group with a different name but the same exact address as your "Belizean BRC" http://www.livingtreeacademy.org/ You can do a whois lookup on livingtreeacademy.org for more information on the group. I did, but I can't put it up. Last time I tried I got moderated for doing it.

My first thought was no, the copyright hasn't expired, but a little research turned up this: http://www.unc.edu/~unclng/public-d.htm My understanding is that PFAL was filmed in 1967. That would mean a copyright term of 28 years plus an automatic extension of 68 years. *BUT* anything published from '64 to '77 had to have a copyright notice for protection. Anyone remember seeing the copyright notice on the film? Of course, TWI could maintain that it was not "published" since they controlled or tried to control every copy. All very interesting. But I'm not a lawyer and this isn't legal advise :)-->

Funny you should mention that. I'm of the opinion that a small amount of worry is actually a good catalyst for decision making.
