One thing I really liked about the old GS was that the screen font was a nice big size. Now I'm squinting and having to adjust my browser just to read the text. Is anyone else uncomfortable with the text size?
-
I know. I do it all the time. I'd rather just have the font size back to what it was.

Any chance of setting the default font size the same as the old GScafe size? My tired old eyes are having a hard time with this new tiny font....

We seemed to have covered the origins of most of PFAL except the trinity. Has anyone ever found verbatum copies of VPW's trinity teachings from other authors?

I caught an interview on CNN with a Galveston resident that wasn't evacuating. "I've got food, water and fifteen hundred rounds of ammunition, I'm OK" or something to that effect.

Part of the problem is the paper-thin sheetmetal that the carmakers use. It's not like the old days where there was a little bit of forgiveness built in. Caulk it up to saving weight for fuel economy.

Galen, you just didn't find the right places to go. Since you're a military man, you'd probably enjoy the RAF/USAF museum at Hendon. The stop is off the underground from London plus about a 1/2 mile walk. An excellent, excellent museum, about 2/3rds RAF and 1/3rd USAF history, beautifully presented. If you don't have time to leave downtown, the Royal Science Museum shouldn't be missed.

Does "I took pictures of the team for the yearbook" count?

Perhaps a little off-topic, I remember Del Duncan saying that he sent VPW copies of "The Berkeley Barb" on a regular basis. The context was that California was "hot" spiritually and before trends happened across the country they would appear there.

looks like a Colt 38 ACP Automatic. And I'd address her as "Ma'am", not old lady...

Very, very cool. Wishing both of you all the best....

Thanks for the coffee spew...

My opinion and my opinion only, no promises that it's biblically accurate.... You share the Word with her, let God worry about her being a lesbian.

The inverse happened to me. I was working late one night and the programmer came by. He absent-mindedly picked up my keys off my desk and put them in his pocket and left. I had to spend the night at work because I had no keys to lock up or drive home. One of my employees called in sick because "his cat kept him awake all night"

I applied for an AMX card last month solely for Costco purchases. They called me up within a week of applying and told me I had a $33,000 credit limit.... I said ummm, make it $2000. The lady literally begged me to leave it higher.

Lay's potato chips Spaten Optimator beer Smokey Chedder cheese And I have a pint of Ben and Jerry's Vanilla stashed in the freezer for emergencies. I like the chocolatey stuff better, but vanilla is all my blood sugar can tolerate....

You should add Yosmite and Yellowstone parks to the list. Crater Lake in Oregon is nice too. As cities go, I'd add Seattle and second Boston. If you can walk a few miles, the Boston Freedom Trail walk is great. The San Diego Zoo is great. My friends and I once skipped out on a limb meeting to see the zoo. Well worth it. If you have visions of getting out of country, I'd suggest London, Munich and Tokyo. I hope to visit Taiwan on business this fall.

I'm not gonna bite. I wouldn't wish it on anyone here at GS, even my enemies.

No. Limewire does not give you any sort of license to download music for free. It just gives you the means to download stuff other people are sharing and to share what you have. There is no free lunch. If you want to download music legally, you need to use something like i-tunes or yahoo music.
-
Limewire is free. You shouldn't have to pay for it or the sharing service. The problem is that scammers have learned that they can "sell" free software if they can get a higher google rating than the home site of the software. One way to always get the free software for free is to use the search engine at Sourceforge. Virtually all free programs are archived there in both binary and source. Here's a link to sites hosting the most recent stable version of Limewire for Windows. Just click download on the site closest to you.

I can certainly relate to that. I've refused to volunteer for anything unless I *know* that no harm can come from it...

Bringing this topic up to the top.

Excellent Shell. One more suggestion based on my family's experience during the Loma Preita earthquake. Make up little laminated cards with phone numbers of relatives *outside* of your area and instruct your family to call *them* if they can't get through to you. For about 24 hours after the earthquake, anyone in the Bay Area could call a number outside the area with no problems, but nobody could call in. It has to do with the way the telephone exchanges work. If everyone can touch base with an outgoing call, you can make sure everyone is safe.
