    Serious Post here

Ron G or Galen probably know more than me, but I'll give it a shot. I'd have a pro do the rifle if it's a piece that you like and want to keep for a long while. I've played with the touchup bluing kits and have not had good results. I'm going to get my 1911 Colt pistal buffed out and reblued by a pro one of these days. It's hard to know without looking, but I'd guess the red markings are moisture seals. Is the upper line on the seam between the bullet and the case?
  2. My guess would be Donna, Rosy and Joe Coulter, in that order.
  3. And do they have access to this healthy, nutritious food all year long? My statement was in the context of westerners in a temperate climate where, before refrigeration and jumbo jet freighters, we were limited to fresh fruit and vegetable for only a couple months a year. The rest of the time it was canned food or meat. And as to the reasons for our long life, *the* major reason we live better is civil engineering. Civil engineers provided cities with clean, disease-free drinking water and disposed of sewage. The resulting increase in health and lifespan can be seen historically long before the advances in antibiotics and neonatal care.
  4. Try this: When the Remote Desktop Connection menu comes up, press the Options>> button, go to Local Resources, make sure Local Devices, Printers is checked. You may also want to check Serial Ports as sometimes drivers do funny things with serial data over USB. Let us know how it works out.
  5. And being criminally dumbass...
  6. "trustee stab and power grab" Great line. Bet he won't print it on his "green card" though. As to Geer and his followers, I certainly can't offer you any wisdom. I cannot see for the life of me how anyone could read POP and then follow the guy.

    Insurance need help!

I don't have any particular recommendations. We're using AEON, but I don't like them that much. Are you aware of all the different types of business insurance you need to sort through? We have: 1. Fire and theft 2. Broken glass (required by the landlord) 3. Product liability (in case a customer sues us for a defective product) 4. Director's liability (in case someone sues a corporate director) 5. Liability (in case a visitor slips and breaks a leg.) 6. Workman's comp (in case an employee slips and breaks a leg.) 7. Vehicle liability (in case an employee, driving their own car on business for us, hits someone.) 8. Unemployment insurance for employees. 9. Employee dishonesty 10. Computer data loss. And about 3 or 4 more that I can't think of. I dread going through the renewal process every year, trying to figure all this stuff out. If you have any specific questions about all of these, please post it.

    Only at Walmart

Because Walmart is the nation's largest gun retailer. The guns need ammo.

    Only at Walmart

This is some kind of joke, right? Did you happen to hear the manager's reply?

    What a CASA is

I know what CASA means to me: http://www.casaweb.org/ I used to be a member. I don't think that's what it means to you. As to political advocates of any kind, they scare me. They give a small number of vocal individuals tremendous power. Their power is often used to shape political opinion and appeal to voters' emotions to further the advocates' agenda. I guess that's not what you wanted to hear. Sorry.
  14. Only if I'm counseling someone to get out of a cult. And it's happened a couple of times. I've also been known to give myself away by quoting scripture during discussions and getting ridiculously high scores on Jeopardy Religion categories :)

  16. LOL. Sounds about as much fun as the time I bent my mast out between the Berkeley Pier and Angel Island...

    Dreams DO Come True!

It's a newsgroup so it doesn't have a url. If you're not set up to use newsgroups, Google Groups is probably your best bet: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.autos.subaru?lnk=gschg You might also enjoy poking around at nasioc.com. Sort of a Greasespot for Subaru owners :) http://www.nasioc.com/

    Dreams DO Come True!

Welcome to the Subaru cult. I'm an "old grad" with a '99 Outback for me, a '04 WRX for my wife and a '98 Imprezza for my daughter. If you have any questions, there's a pretty good newsgroup called alt.autos.subaru that I check everyday. Be aware that you have to be careful about replacing and rotating tires on a Subaru and that not all repair places are competent to work on them as the engine and powertrain are way different from most cars. Feel free to send me an email if you have any questions.

    The Death Clock

This calculator takes more thing into consideration. My score came out to 87 years, so there's actually a chance I might see a grandchild. http://gosset.wharton.upenn.edu/mortality/perl/CalcForm.html
  22. Assuming you're running Windows XP and you have it set for a "classic" folder view, Right click the filename, Click Properties Click the Summary tab, Press the Advanced buttion if the Simple button shows Click on the field you want to change, change it and press Apply.
  23. I think this topic came up years ago on Waydale, but it might bear rehashing. Can anyone describe the TWI process for ordination? How are you selected. are there politics involved, are there commitments, etc, etc. The reverend title carried a lot of weight in the TWI hiearchy and seem to be a get-out-of-jail-free card for some but not for others. I'd really like to hear what some of the WC vets know on the subject. Oh and who was the first person ordained in TWI?
  24. I try to time the fillup so that I have a nearly full tank Saturday morning. I usually end up doing a lot of unpredictable driving over the weekend and I don't like to stop for gas.
