Pretty interesting interpretation. My favorite number is the square root of 2 so it will be hard to send it to that many people...

Imagine how far VPW would have gotten if Leonard, Stiles and Bullinger had held him to such an "agreement".

Ask him to stop by GS once in a while, he's missed.

"Flipped out grad" - Used much in the 70's in California "Lifeline" - instead of deadline, then changed back to deadline at a later date The whole "Way Tree" metaphor thing, including calling "Flipped out grads" "Sticks" on the Way Tree, WoW. Ess-eye-tee, for speaking in tonges. All nine all the time

From "Machinery's Handbook" (excuse the stupid single quotes, it's the only way I could format the equations) ''''''''''''''' 2pi x R Q = F x --------- '''''''''''''''''''' P Where Q = pressure exerted by bolt ' F = force exerted on end of wrench ' R = length of wrench ' p = thread lead Assuming a 1 foot wrench, 40 pounds pressure and 10 threads/inch... ''''''''''''6.283 x 1 40 x ------------ = 2513.2 lbs '''''''''''''''''' .1 It appears the thread diameter doesn't matter until you start worrying about the coefficient of friction. Disclaimer - I am not a mechanical engineer and I could be wrong....

ex10, I feel your happiness and concern. My daughter is a junior in college working on a double major of botany and science ed. She has also talked about grad studies in less than safe places. We should be so thankful that our kids are choosing worthwhile things to do with their lives and trying to make the world a better place.

Reading "The Emperor's New Clothes" started me thinking about the few times that people in TWI had dropped subtle hints that all was not right in TWI land. Longtime staffers at HQ, good friends, all done one-on-one and in such a way that no offense could be found. I wondered about these things but being a good wayfer, just filed them away. I also remember getting together with good friends, usually late at night after a branch or limb meeting, and discussing inconsistencies that we saw in the teachings. Nothing ever came of it. Anyone else have this experience?

My dad swore by Scott's Weed and Feed and it's worked for me. Be aware that if you kill off all the crabgrass, you'll have a lot of big bare spots.

I guess the question is why would anyone want their own .ws website. You can set up a facebook page or a yahoo groups page for free and get a lot more social networking. Contrary to what they said, no business wants a dot ws domain name if there's any chance they can find a dot com name.

LOL, I couldn't have said it better.

I gotta go to bed. Unfortunately, the line "A Mighty Bull Dyke is our MOG" keeps going through my head.

Oh for a thousand bucks to ring, In Rosie's collection plates, Her house and pool will be so clean, With the cash that we donate. Our gutless corps and B.O.T., Assist her to proclaim, Our happiness and prosperity, Amidst our poverty and pain. We give our time and what little cash, After our rent we all must pay, To hear the teachings that Loy rehashed, But it's better than his ballet. Rise up ye followers of The Way, Know they need not melt our face, There is a place where our kids can play, And our cars won't be a disgrace. -With apologies to Charles Wesley, 1739

When my good friend died a few years ago, his family did the same. Close friends were invited for food and talk. It was a good time.

In LCM's case, yes.

Some hard jail time would be good.

I know for a fact that lantern batteries didn't *used* to be made that way. When I was a kid, they had 4 cells inside, each the diameter of a D cell and about an inch longer. I know because my dad worked on the railroad and kept me supplied with used but not totally run down lantern batteries for my electronics experiments. Eventually, I had to take one apart. A few years ago they switched to using standard D cells instead of the longer cells. I guess I'll have to take one apart someday and find out. I've been buying the generic AA bricks of batteries at Costco or Fry's. On sale, usually $8-$10 for 40.

Ok, I'm confused. I count 8 tuning pegs on that guitar, Dmiller. Is it an electric guitar? Whatever, they are beautiful...
