Sounds like it's time for extreme measures..

His 33 year old adopted son said that Sandusky abused him. Fsk.

No, what kind of parent would name a girl Rembert.

Getting back to the original question, yes, VPW did say that he walked around the gym/auditorium casting out devil spirits. I don't remember him saying he went down every row and isle. He did say that he wondered what kind of season the team had had, because of the spirit of depression he discerned. Thanks for the leadership quote, Steve. It's going up on the whiteboard in my office. I've often wanted to do a thread on the difference between the military and TWI. VPW liked military metaphors, but it was clear to someone who had been in both environments that he didn't have a clue.

Most Fiery Confrontations Leveled at Dissenting Leadership
Jim replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
I was back in the video room taping that meeting. I have never seen a person, anywhere, go off so badly as VP did. I was a lowly AC grad and was assigned to tape the meeting because all the corps AV were off somewhere. Just out of curiosity, was the incident discussed amongst the corps after the meeting? -

Pull it together Ham. I've had 3 glasses of port and I'm still pretty much coherent. At least I think I am. I'll have to double check in the morning. -
I was on staff in '83-'84 (I think, memory is getting bad). I prolly ate lunch at the dining room a half dozen times. The food was bad and after I got reproved for having my elbows a bit too close to the edge of the table I stopped going completely.

Most Fiery Confrontations Leveled at Dissenting Leadership
Jim replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
Yeah Sky. Yeah. It was the beginning of the end for me. For all of VP's tearful "at the Way we love people and use things" rhetoric at classes and ROA, it became obvious that A) VPW most assuredly "used people" and B) had no qualms lying about it. -
Click the link. It's the word "it".

For all of TWI's bluster about trademarking "The Way", from what I understand about the law it is a very weak trademark. For a trademark to be strong, it should be unique and abstract from the concept it is applied to. For example, Kodak, Tektronix, and Compaq. None describe the types of products the companies market and all are unique. My personal opinion is that the only way someone could infringe on "The Way International" would be to use the same exact phrase to market similar products or services. I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice.

What Was Your Favorite Treat When You Were A Kid
Jim replied to Human without the bean's topic in Open
Hey Radar. It's been awhile. I have to confess I never had a favorite shop in our hometown. I really liked The Factory but it wasn't a shop. OTOH, most weekends I'd drive to Dave's Smoke Shop in Berkeley. It was located in center of the great big brick parking structure just off of Telegraph. Licorice and a huge selection of magazines. My daughter tells me that the last time she stopped there it was gone. Her and I made many trips there when she was little and we needed to get out of the house for an hour or two. -
Does anyone else think that if VPW could see that poster he'd sh!t a brick? After all these years I can still imagine a scathing rant about devil spirit influence and "cleaning house"

Thanks. I'm still not going back. And another thing... Yawn.

TWI had the perfect business model. A product (PFAL) with a huge profit margin, employees with no benefits, no rights, and barely subsistence wages, no taxes, and free advertizing. How can you manage to screw that up?

I remember many occasions when I felt a twig or branch leader had crossed the line from "living the Word and blessing people" to "Hitler brownshirt". I just wished I had had the balls to confront them on it.

Sonofabitch. That's nearly $500 a day. Maybe they ought to just try to do the right thing....

You know, I think I could see past the mail-order degree as a bit of early career foolishness. What makes it sick is his unmitigated gall in requiring everyone to refer to him as "doctor" based on it.
-
So let me get this straight. VPW left Ohio on July 5th, a Monday and probably arrived at Pike's Peak on Wednesday the 7th. He got his doctorate degree on Wednesday the 28th, 15 working days later. And at the same time teaching "Radio Preaching Techniques" and "Peter the Preacher". A truly rigorous course of study. It's almost as impressive as inventing the hook shot. Or maybe he could only stay as long as his money held out.

Yeah. On the left coast we know it's an earthquake because it feels like a semi truck slammed into the side of the building. I'll stick with the earthquakes and let you guys batten down for the Irene.
