Thanks for your input Jung. I tend to believe you guys are for real and I also understand why you don't feel the need to stick around. TWI was only a big deal to those of us who were involved. And Satori, I thought your comments were funny, for what it's worth.

Dooj, I think this and T-Bone's: sum it up for me.I don't kneel in prayer often, but when I do I'm always by myself. Same with lifting my hands in prayer. I'm not a fan of outward showings...I save that stuff for me and God.

... But really, there are SO many good reasons to join us bluebirds...welcome. Tonto...a blue heart in a red state.

Maybe he was on the Glen Campbell show? (Now I'm embarrassed to admit that I watched old Glen back in the day).

Tom, does the Flying Saucer have internet connectability? :)
-
Didn't he used to play banjo on The Smother's Brother's show back in the 60's?

Well geez...I guess I have to put aside my work and give a disclaimer: There is no way that I proof all of T-Bone's posts. Have you noticed how long they are??? I sometimes say "uh-huh" and switch from "What not to Wear" to HGTV and roll my eyes. (Love ya, TB) On the Geer topic...I'm having to edit myself right now because all I can come up with are nasty things to say about him. Uh-oh...now I'm stuck on this color...oh well, Happy Red Ink Day, everybody!

Here's one passed on to me from one of my fellow dog-lovers: Unlike most days at the Rainbow Bridge, this day dawned cold and gray. All the recent arrivals at the Bridge did not know what to think, as they had never seen such a day. But the animals who had been waiting longer for their beloved people to accompany them across the Bridge knew what was happening, and they began to gather at the pathway leading to the Bridge. Soon an elderly dog came into view, head hung low and tail dragging. He approached slowly, and though he showed no sign of injury or illness, he was in great emotional pain. Unlike the animals gathered along the pathway, he had not been restored to youth and vigor upon arriving at the Bridge. He felt out of place, and wanted only to cross over and find happiness. But as he approached the Bridge, his way was barred by an angel, who apologized and explained that the tired and broken-spirited old dog could not cross over. Only those animals accompanied by their people were allowed to cross the Bridge. Having nobody, and with nowhere else to turn, the dog trudged into the field in front of the Bridge. There he found others like himself, elderly or infirm, sad and discouraged. Unlike the other animals waiting to cross the Bridge, these animals were not running or playing. They simply were lying in the grass, staring forlornly at the pathway across the Rainbow Bridge. The old dog took his place among them, watching the pathway and waiting, yet not knowing what he was actually waiting for. One of the newer dogs at the Bridge asked a cat who had been there longer to explain what was happening. The cat replied, "Those poor animals were abandoned, turned away, or left at rescue places, but never found a home on earth. They all passed on with only the love of a rescuer to comfort them. Because they had no people to love them, they have nobody to escort them across the Rainbow Bridge." The dog asked the cat, "So what will happen to those animals?" Before the cat could answer, the clouds began to part and the cold turned to bright sunshine. The cat replied, "Watch, and you will see." In the distance was a single person, and as she approached the Bridge the old, infirm and sad animals in the field were bathed in a golden light. They were all at once made young and healthy, and stood to see what their fate would be. The animals who had previously gathered at the pathway bowed their heads as the person approached. At each bowed head, the person offered a scratch or hug. One by one, the now youthful and healthy animals from the field fell into line behind the person. Together, they walked across the Rainbow Bridge to a future of happiness and unquestioned love. The dog asked the cat, "What just happened?" The cat responded, "That was a rescuer." The animals gathered along the pathway bowing in respect were those who had found their forever homes because of rescuers. They will cross over when their people arrive at the Bridge. The arrival here of a rescuer is a great and solemn event, and as a tribute they are permitted to perform one final act of rescue. They are allowed to escort all those poor animals they couldn't place on earth across the Rainbow Bridge and into Heaven." The dog thought for a moment, then said, "I like rescuers." The cat smiled and replied, "So does heaven, my friend. So does heaven.

sogwap, Just send your thoughts to me...the creature...PO Box OU812... ( I am just kidding...please don't anyone jump on me for my lame attempt at humor)
-
Ahhhh... StrangeOne, We will happily go to the Saucer that flies, but what is this Spaten? I'm a Shiner Blonde kinda girl. Here at the cafe, my beloved T-Bone finally has someone else who "gets" his humor. We've been married so long that when he does one of these schticks, I just look at him and roll my eyes. The cafe is a great place for him to "release" the magnitude of the fullness of the in-eff-n-able greatness of his mind. A full sharing, if you will. Or even if you won't.

Uhhh...more like thank God for diuretics.

To CKMkeon (and other Wierwille defenders), an Open Letter
tonto replied to Zixar's topic in About The Way
But Jonny, You declined. You did the right thing. VP didn't. He not only succomed to the temptation, he hand-picked his temptation from his followers. He even twisted bible verses to make it ok. Big, big, big, big difference. -
It sure looks like a drain, but is it a rivet? Then you'ld have "Mystic River".
-
That's beautiful Bagpipes...I'm looking forward to hearing more. I wish I had your gift.
-
Well, I've gone round and round in my mind on this one...but I don't think VP started out as a grifter. I also don't think his original intentions were entirely pure, either. I think he probably had some honest desire to do something for God, but he let his screaming, all-consuming need for recognition come first. I think that was the big trap door for him. The fact that he was known as "Doctor", when his doctorate was from a degree mill speaks volumes. It's just so dam^ complicated...

Hmmm...this is like being locked in a room with Nell.

Yo, Chief! Just wanted to say hi, or "how", to a fellow native-American avatar. Chas, I like your formula, but I'd like to suggest a "kick-bu+t" series...some special messages for the present-truth leadership...some hell-fire and brimstone-smite-the-wicked-wrath-o' God type stuff.

I didn't fake it, but many of the same things you guys bring up bothered me as well. "Excellor's sessions"...WTF??? At the time I just put those thoughts up on that "guess I'm not spirutual enough to understand" shelf. Sometimes I still SIT when I pray for people because I figure it's not hurting anything. But "believer's meetings"...don't miss those one bit. I never did like getting called on, and hearing the same old "My children know that I have called you to a great and mighty purpose..." was so...repetative. We sure thought we were special, didn't we?

Thanks for the reminder, Jardinero. We saw part one and part two is a must-see. Hope you're enjoying your travels...happy trails!

Oh, now you've got my attention... Under $10 a bottle reds, and I'm not fond of sweet: Bonny Doon Big House Red (California) Norton Malbec (Argentina) Marquis Caceres Red (Spain) One, sometimes two glasses an evening...life is good.
-
Goey, I always enjoyed your posts and I'm glad you're back.

Oh My GAWD, Tom! He married hubs and me almost thirty years ago...I had no idea he lives around here. I don't know what to say... Who's Clarita?
-
Kelly is a doll, and I think she'll have a career ahead of her if she doesn't get eaten by the sharks. And hey Belle, at least you're sharp now...you're free!

Designer's Challenge and Landscaper's Challenge...depending on the season. Candace, and the one where they come in and just move existing stuff around...shoot, I like them all and watch them, hoping some of it will rub off on me. When we sold our other house and bought our 27 year-old house a few years ago, we knew we would at least change a few things. Thing is, once you change one thing it just keeps snowballing. We've already redone so many things that my husband jokes that we should have lifted the roof and parked a new house underneath. Lindy, you and ex10 could offer an online service here at the cafe...we send you pictures of our problem areas, then you make suggestions, we could use Paypal...whaddaya think?

At first the only thing I liked about this show is seeing "the best of the worst". (How can people that awful not know how truly horrible they are? It seems some folks really believe positive affirmations can overcome a lack of talent). Now I watch it with my daughter...and I'll admit it's addictive. I think Chris is the winner...and I hope Taylor will have a long career ahead of him. Ace is eye candy for the girls and boys alike...(I'm ducking). Belle, Survivor is my guilty pleasure...I think in part because it has a little of the WOW/LEAD dynamic going for it.
