i havent got anything to say that hasnt been said 22,000 times already from every conceivable angle. It doesnt really seem all that hard to fathom that "doctrine" leads to "practice". If the practice is foul, the doctrine is at the very best highly suspect (...by their fruit ye shall know them..). Are the simplest things really that hard to comprehend WD? Wierwilles acts were repugnant because the doctrine ( I am NOT going to use your phrase "scriptural truth" in regards to anything he taught) was foul. His acts point directly to the holes in his doctrine and the lack of real consistant truth in them. The whole kit and kaboodle of his teachings imo was a mish mosh to allow him to live out his control fantasies and perversions. When you look at the results ,the assumption that he taught any genuine "scriptural truth" at all is highly questionable WD keeps using the 1+1 example...is it really that hard to add this concept up? that 1+1 really does equal 2?

Its amazing to me that we are half way to October already.. I dont know why the winter months crawl by and baseball season flies. I cant say about every team but the Red Sox are off exactly one game of last years pace (50-31 at this point in '07, 49-32 now-) with virtually the same offensive and pitching numbers--just different players doing it... Given the injuries theyve had, thats pretty darn good. The only real difference is last year they were up 10 1/2 --now they are up 1/2 because the division overall is much stronger... Can someone please slow this season down? I feel like Im going to blink and it will be over --much too soon...and I'll be back to shoveling snow

Ive been trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to say the same thing for years but the ears are deaf. (which was also something Wierwille taught). The argument seems to be along the lines of -"Well if a chemisrty teacher was a mass murderer it doesnt negate the chemical formulas that he taught" or something along those lines. The obvious difference is that Christianity is not a formula which is being taught but a lifestyle. Any buffoon with a pulse who can read-- can read me scripture verses whether they believe it or they dont....big deal... Ive had crackheads read me bible verses --so what--no matter where in the bible they decide to read or "teach"--the main thing lesson that I hear from them is that crack is alright---The same goes for Wierwille Wierwilles attitude, self centeredness hardheartedness, deception, paranoia, narcissism all come through in his jumble of "teachings" --Its the major effing point! His "failures" are bound together and generate out of his mish mosh theology and teachings. Can you say Jesus is Lord? Can you say Pea Soup? Who cares? Anybody can, I dont consider him valuable simply because who knew how to read. I can do that on my own. The dark spirit that underlayed and infused his teaching was enough to make any of the "scriptural "part of highly questionable and negligible worth. Seeing what it brought, and for what it was, its best to get rid of the whole sordid mess, and if anyone has any christian yearning--- start again from scratch

I was thinking of some of the videos I watched of George Carlin in the last few days.... There are quiet , to themselves atheists, and then there are those who will not hesitate to tell you about and do whatever to convert anyone. To me they are "evangelizing" their atheism, ---evangelical atheists. its not a derogatory term just a descriptive term I doubt most of them have any big formal plan or classes (maybe they do ...I really dont know..and sort of doubt it) to me its just anyone who starts talking about atheism

Wow i just wanted to welcome Jonny back from his 30 days in the hole and look what i walked into...what a dang drama.. It is sort of strange isnt it? What does 'belief in the bible " actually mean anyway?-- I read it and I see people that had empathy, compassion and helped people that were hurting..but IM not seeing a lot of belief in any of that. Its hard actually to tell what people mean when they say they are 'bible believers'. IMO quit talking and show me, otherwise its BS. If what I see is someone attacking rape victims that doesnt do much to enhance the book that they supposedly "believe in"..maybe its a different translation they read than I have ever been exposed to..., whatever belief or book it is that makes people turn cold and 'without any natural affection' ,do me a favor and keep it far far away from me... blehhhh anyway--all I really wanted to say was Welcome back Jonny Lingo!

Interesting point--I dont know exactly what it is...The parks and the history had something to do with the mythos thats been created no doubt... It might have something to do with the nature of the fans as well--dont really know--Of course Ive been up here in the upper right hand corner for a bunch of years now but try as I might I cant ever remember running into a 'stros fan or a White Sox fan--at least not any that I whiled the time away shootin baseball stories with...I know that I have with Cubs fans --a number of times--over the years..Im sure Astros and White Sox fans are just as big a fans as anyone else but perhaps their just not as neurotic where they find it necessary to write mountains of books that have to do with curses or billygoats or blackcats or other obssessive intricate details that capture the public imagination as they display their yearning and angst...the way RS or Cubs fans have over the years... Other than the Black Sox the White Sox history to me is mostly a blackhole --, same with the Astros. I m sure theyre good fans but its harder to identify on a personal level without some sort of personal connection..which Ive really never seen or been exposed to.. Cubs stuff on the other hand is well known and its a part of human nature to want the guy who constantly gets beaten to overcome--at least once. Interesting point about the stadiums---there is a whole mythology that surrounds teams , the astros and the White Sox somehow never developed theirs the way some of the older other teams have (Dodgers, Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, Cardinals etc...) or at least its not widely known enough to capture people

Danny Haren pitched a helluva game. Beckett was good until the 7th when he lost a little of his command for an inning which is all it took. I was expecting a duel between those two--and got it. Im hoping Youkilis is OK, that was one of the freakest injuries Ive seen (Gold Glover hadnt made an error in two years gets hit in the eye during in between inning infield tosses)...Sox now have zero firstbasemen, as backup Sean Casey is serving a suspension for the Tampa fight a few weeks ago, and Ortiz has been gone about a month or so.. They put in rookie OF Brandon Moss who immediately bobbled in what proved to be the winning run... O well...... we'll see what Tito comes up with tonight..... and Ive said it before Rhino--the cubs hundred year rebuilding plan is complete, all the pieces are falling into place to win like they did the last time it was an '08 year. Its their year----the Cubs fans will be in such strange territory by winning that they literally will not know what to do--marriages will get back together, families will rebond, the planets might just start to realign

My ticket 'negotiation' worked out --I got great seats to the DBacks and Sox Wednesday night, in a battle of 90 year old pitchers (Johnson and Wakefield scheduled as of now....). I would have liked to have seen Owings (mostly to see if they DH'ed for someone else in the lineup). Im about 15 rows up between the dugout and on deck circle on the first base side.....Ya gotta love Fenway--its as close as being at a darn high school game.. see ya on ESPN
