I like the woods--forests, mountains, streams the ocean--nature in general---to me there is at times a spiritual element to being alone with nature...But no matter how hard I try right now i can not conjure up any image of "The Way Woods" that stands out to me. I have a vague remembrance of The Shack Of his Healing Presence ---that and i saw some big raccoon type critters there--Im sure it was 'nice' but nothing noteworthy to me 20 years later. Just about everywhere has places that are just as nice if not better. So---Im sorry i cant help you out on what was so great about it--the grounds were very clean maybe?

In my day we were called "believers" or maybe "born again believers"...I do remember Martindale once in the early 80's (maybe at an ROA??)ranting how much he hated the term Christian and didnt ever want to be associated with 'those people'. He went into the spiel that the term was invented by unbelievers with his usual yelling and veins popping rant. The take I remember from Wierwille was somewhere in Living Victoriously where he said something to the effect of "Christians? There has never been any!!"

It is sort of indicative that TWI's big event of the year was in a circus tent considering the whole organization and 'ministry' was straight out of the P.T. Barnum playbook

I have no specific info on criminal justice but on general principal I ALWAYS tell people to find whatever it is that YOU love and stick to it --eventually it will pay off. IMO Life is too short to do otherwise. Good luck

The one thing that I remember that I still really like is that it was the place every year that I saw the Perseid Meteor showers. I didnt know about them then but every year I'd spend a night or two up all night talking to somneone or other about some deep ( ) spiritual secret (haha) and about 20 or 30 shooting stars an hour would pass by as a happy accident on the other hand --if anyone ever ever wakes me up with Beautiful Ohio blaring at 6 am ever again you best leave the planet

He has been going directly to the people for the last several days Roy Yesterdays townhall meeting in Grand Junction Colorado was over an hour of direct questions from normal people (friend and foe) that the President answered without any media telling you their interpretations. It was carried on quite a few networks The White House Website is also fairly extensive on their stances on issues if you would like to see what they have to say about it without the media filtering it for you

I posted that before coffee, Im a little slow in the morning and foraging through what initially seemed simple was getting a bit (way) over my head at the time---probably a bad choice of words--plus i was little grumpy at the time due to this biblical plague of mosquitoes in my area...I rarely venture down here-it usually gets too complexticated for me in a hurry. Last I noticed Home Depot was already over the World- If they wanted to drastically reduce the number of stores that they have, emperil the success of the company, or watch complete states leave in droves while he is telling them of their expansion --well--- they should hire him on as topdog --Martindale as a CEO would be the quickest way to crash and burn any company

Without a context I really dont know what you are getting at or what you want me to comment on, its much too obscure of a statement People meet their spouses, conceive children, choose careers and make good and bad decisions in a very small moment of time-that can have a very long term effect. Others take their first hit off of a crack pipe, heroin needle, or even a cigarette once, for the first time at some point in time. Someone else may contract AIDS after a bad decision and cut their life short. Somethings that you decide to do, do matter. I dont know what you mean by things that "happen to you" either. Is that like being in a fire that you have no control over? or being shot or raped? Without context, Im not sure what you are getting at. A lot of things dont matter all that much but Im also glad that my mother didnt say "I have a headache-not tonight" the night that I was conceived. That would have greatly mattered to me no matter what my attitude was :)

I dont know what you mean, as in waysiders post --a local 24 year old got killed in a car wreck last night for passing across the center line--a small thing that lasted forever for him and his family and friends, That certainly matters a lot to them

There is something about the tenor (is that the right word) of announcers like Scully that immediately make you feel right at home as if with some good uncle (or something like that) when they announce. I grew up with Ned Martin who described the game in such away that you were right there. Always a gentleman -it was sometimes poetic the way he viewed baseball. I agree those days are pretty much gone. Remy is from a different cloth but was always was able to make even boring games fun somehow. joking, telling anecdotes, bantering with Orsillo about anything at all under the sun...A little impish and a little rascalish-but very good insights always---and with touches of humor---- I think he is one of the big reasons that the socalled "RedSox Nation" has gained so many new fans over his tenure (I know I know winning doesnt hurt either...)He makes the games very enjoyable. I look forward to him saying BUENOS NOCHES AMIGOS! someday very soon..No matter what else happens --it will be a good day
