    Song of the moment

    <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>..the winter times comin, windows are filled with frost I tried to tell everbody...but I could not get it across dont say I never warned you if your train gets lost
  2. I suppose it wasn't unexpected..The '09 team was a good team but not a great team---I tried all season to hide that from myself and hope that they would turn some corner somewhere that never really happened..... but it still stings to get swept-especially the way that it happened-up by 2 in the 9th -2outs, 0-2 count. Whatjagonnado? I dont know who to root for now. The upside if the NYY's win is that it would light a fire under the front office to quit squirreling around with reclamation projects (Smoltz, Penny) and sign some top notch Free Agents. They'll have their work cut out for them this off season no matter what--there are too many questions on the 25 man roster... anyway just ranting.. I'll agree the umping AND announcing has been abysmal IMO--but that not be a completely fair assessment, I'm a little ticked at everything right now
  3. Papelbon giving up 2 in the 8th and 3 in the 9th gets my vote....
  4. ...and the Red Sox...for now......Ive already retooled the whole lineup for next year about 500 times over in the last few hours. Im calmed now...the Corona bottle which wanted to sail through my TV a few hours ago never made it. Its time for me to watch the rest of the way, dream a creative offseason and "stare out the window and wait for spring"
  5. ((((((Geisha))))))) Its alright, I'll be fine..... Its just too soon to look into the cold dark winter just yet......but necessary i guess. Its sort of annual ritual..I have to quote Bart right now((LINK) **sigh**
  6. Papelbon... ... .. ....I guess i should congratulate the LAA'a they were the better team although Im still ticked Papelbon killed the ninth last best only hope...that was painful to watch.......the Ang's may be the team of destiny with Nick Adenhart playing within them.....if not quite playing 'inspired' (maybe) they certainly played tight, well and clutch. (walking Figgins in the 9th..) The Angels are good....... but.....I think its gonna be an old fashioned Dodgers/Yankees year...good subtext with Torre. mountains of history ( Larsen, Jackie Robinson, Joe D highlights coming up...) the network will love it-It will pull in the sometime fans , it will be great for Hiway -I hope it goes 7 extra innings.... Im gonna have to adjust to this......Im in denial
  7. #$%^& #$%^& #$%^& !! #$%^& !!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR F%^$k G&^%&^%^%it Im not ready for my season to end
  8. Not only that--Anyone who was successful at anything at all was a seed boy Michael Jordan , Steven Spielburg, Mother Theresa...During my time pretty much anyone in the news was a seedboy or at least "influenced"...
  9. The Devils (all on staff now) had to approve it
  10. I had a roommate in a Way Home once from Puerto Rico whos first language was spanish... I could always understand his english but he often got his english words just a little mixed up. ( Are the alive dead now?) He did a teaching at a twig one time on love and spoke for about 15 minutes on the difference between Agape love and fellatio love. I thought it was hilarious at the time, the two new people that night just watched with their jaws dropped. Finest bible exposition since the first century alrighty

Thats what I first thought as well. I nearly have an 'episode' during any episode where anyone/anything threatens Abby...I love her farting stuffed Hippo Thats true but they made a big deal of Gibbs not signing the reinstatement request at the end They may send her somewhere like when Gibbs had his Mexican 'retirement' after getting blown up---or when DiNozzo got sent to the aircraft carrier. I dont know-I never know -thats one thing I really like about the show
  12. You would thinks so wouldnt you? I could probably recite all the old teachings word for word that I havent heard in 20 years myself if i set my mind to it but I have absolutely zero desire to do so. Almost as amazing as 'the proliferation of propped up preachers and programs" are the people who sit there, listen to it, and give their money away to these sideshow acts decade after decade Aside from having a good portion of your spiritual, emotional, financial and thoughtlife stolen from you, Doesnt it just get incredibly boring after awhile?

My theory is that she is pregnant (in real life). Her face looks puffy, they have only been showing face shots or her in baggy clothing so far this season and none of the usual sexy Ziva in fighting mode scenes. They could drag this out until it is over --send her back to Mossad... have Ducky do a psychological reevaluation after her captivity and torture for several episodes or do any number of things until she is fully reinstated. Its just a theory that I have no way of knowing, she may be reinstated first thing next week for all I know. I just get the sense that they'll drag it out for awhile and Ducky will be prominent in her recovery somehow. Yea--Its the one show on TV that I like and follow (other than baseball). I probably have it all wrong but the show keeps me guessing

A great episode for NCIS to start the season--- I gotta say Im still unsure what will happen with Ziva, is she in? is she out? Gibbs didnt sign the reinstatement on Tuesday, at least not yet...will they continue this subtext out for a few more episodes? Tony and Ziva still have some things to work out never mind whatever happened to her while she was being tortured all summer Its also available on the NCIS site.
  15. Darn I should have sent you some autumn leaves in the package now that I think of it....Its been astounding here... I have no idea how they play under that white roof at the Metrodome. It seems like at least once or twice a year (and I only see a game or two from there ) an outfielder is standing around with that "Duh" look on his face and he doesnt move as the ball lands fifty feet away... Dave has a point, Ive sat in too many games in freezing rain myself or driven the same as he to be rained out..We'll see how it works out next year for them...are the Vikes playing at the new place as well? Speaking of Killebrew...I was a Zoilo Versailles/Cesar Tovar fan..and also like watching perhaps the worst major league hitter I have ever watched...Dean Chance, but he sure could pitch. I missed most of the Twins/Yanks game today...I had forgotten what a sedative Chip Caray is as an announcer and fell asleep...Dodgers are ahead of the Cards now... I may as well get used to it, with west coast games and weird start times my sleep is going to be screwed up for at least a month now....Thanks Bud
  16. To me the Twins-Tigers was THE game of the year (so far ), --a great game to watch. Beautiful to watch, exciting, meaningful----It has to be tough playing an incredibly emotional game like that, then flying halfway across the country to face a rested Sabathia the very next day. we will see what they have left.... As much as I'd like to see the Twins be the dream team of the year, I really dont know if they can keep the momentum theyve built up against the NYY's.... Its gotta be crazy being on the Yanks. I was reading the NY papers today and as usual nothing short of a WS win will do..."Win one for the Boss" and all that type of hoopla. Every team wants to win, to me that added pressure cant help. we will see--we will see
  17. Ive been 12 since 2004.. :) We have an off day before the season begins--good luck everyone meanwhile Heres Gar Ryness: Great American :P <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sPakL5On3Y&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sPakL5On3Y&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sPakL5On3Y&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> and what else could be better for an off day than some footage of Rogers Hornsby. Anybody who hits .424 deserves to get remembered once in awhile. Footage Of Rogers Hornsby
  18. I actually heard some honcho goofball destroy this verse sometime in the 80's...It may have been Martindale who somehow twisted "relief" into "gift ministries". He said that during the famine of Acts 11 that they sent leaders to the afflicted areas to "teach them the word" ..presumably to show them where commas were supposed to go and collect more ABS money from them... then somehow donuts, house payments, steak dinners and manna magically fell from heaven on them I'll bet they say something along those lines again
  19. Thanks Waysider, as a "creative artist" I have to go through that process over and over and over...As I get older it has gotten alittle easier but it still too often can be a gut wrenching, heart rending, soul turned inside out experience during each project. Which I often can dread as much as I enjoy Like Virgil, any guides in the process are appreciated. She's right of course and it certainly does not hurt to be reminded. That's a keeper clip for me Thanks for posting it
  20. hmmmm Ive seen this movie before 2 down with 3 to go... could happen Where they are already both already in, I hope neither team does anything stupid, or gets anyone hurt in the process... It would be nice to win the division but whether either team does or doesnt--- next weeks games are more important. and.... Not for any particular reason--I just like this picture of Manny..
  21. Well that took all of 20 minutes I guess I'd jump on it too You'll find a package addressed to "The Pasadena Chapter of the International Yogi Berra Appreciation Society" arriving sometime next week. I prefer the Paul O'Neill kick and beat it to a pulp approach to my computer--Its much more satisfying that way---less internalized stress---just show it whos boss once in awhile until it gets in line..... Its scary around here too baseball wise--A week ago the Sox were unbeatable--now they look like they couldnt beat anyone---they backed into the wildcard with the LAA's beating Texas--but things sure change quick.....we will see but we will see
  22. Gees the things I take for granted---There are a bunch of sugarhouses in the hills near me...there is nothing quite like going out for a sunday morning pancake feed at any one of them with fresh fresh maple syrup.....um um... HERE'S ONEnot too far from me. You's guys PM me your sddresses I'll see that you get some...no one should be without at least a little real maple syrup. I dont know what this has to do with baseball exactly--other than maple syrup is better than those splintery maple bats
  23. Not a great photo by any means but here is a snap of the backyard this mornin to give you a small taste of home. I echo Rizzuto every once in awhile and burst out an audible 'Holy Cow!!' during some of the sights of the season
  24. No wonder you grew up a yank fan --thats almost spittin distance to the Bronx. It is amazing through here in the fall---if you could ever swing it one of these years an October trip would be worth it. IMO there is nothing quite like New England in the Autumn... I agree that the Yanks are put together well--most of the concerns that I heard dealt with the end of the roster and who to include and not include--mostly Joba who apparently has been a strange enigma all year that has anguished the hardcore....I suppose I'd have similar concerns, if I was in a 'state', about including Varitek on the post season roster who has been spiraling down some... Sometimes in the playoffs it is the 24th or 25th guy who makes the difference Thankfully its not my decision and I have learned to trust those who make those decisions....so (for now at least) I can rest easy. I also better wish you luck now...I may not be in such a charitable mood in a few weeks during the heat of battle to remember to do it again
