I dont know if it has changed but my last "official" contact with wayferdom was in about 1990 or 1991. I called the Florida limb coordinator after having not been to a fellowship in about 2 or 3 years. I was told then that I was welcome in Hell where i was surely going but not to any of their Florida fellowships. I also was informed I had lost any rewards that I may have gained during my ministry years. He got pretty wound up about someone just asking to come to a twig. I was worried that the guy might have a stroke on the phone! It was actually sort of entertaining... The 'going to heaven and all hell cant stop you" doctrine apparently only works as long as you are an active way participant...or at least it was that way according to this deeply spiritual in the know state head honcho. That being said I would gather that they are pretty much forbidden of thinking about possessed hellbound devils like me at all-it would be an unrenewed thought, off the word--and might cause heart failure or frothing at the mouth It suits me just fine --the more they leave me alone the more I can spin my intricate web of deviltry :P

The Red Sox are 0 for me watching them. It looks something like baseball just not exactly baseball that they are playing so far. So far, the new "run production" defense isnt really working---at all. The new guys look a little skittish and lost to me... I watched supposed gold glove 3B Adrian Beltre lose a groundballin the lights the other night....a groundball --never seen that one before! Last week he was complaining about 'snakes in the grass' Im not sure but this just may be the year where sunny days, warm nights, hotdogs, and good friends will be the totality of the years highlights

Except that the brainiacs put it in writing If you WANT to volunteer thats one thing, but if your employer requires you to be there I would think that he is required to pay you....thats common sense.....but.... I dont know the laws in Nebraska If you were my employee, Id want you to come just for show of your own free will if you could -- but if I absolutely needed you to be there or if you were doing any work while you were there I know I would pay you because legal or not thats just fair. Im curious to hear what the Nebraskas AG's office has to say on this. Since this apparently is a business promo and PR move to the community the business should expect to accrue some legitimate business expenses doing it. If you feel strongly about it, I wouldnt let them weasel you out of it. If you dont want to go, dont beat around the bush--

The Way of today isn't anything like Martindale's way
mstar1 replied to Twinky's topic in About The Way
Thats one of those double meaning things..Im seeing that differently than I think you are intending it....but it still could be true.. Ive often wondered if beatings when he was a kid may have contributed to his rage and helped make him into the screaming control freak he was... I have no evidence for that--just conjecture, but abused children can grow to be abusive adults-and whatever it was-he sure had a boatload of unresolved issues that he hid very well -
check out those muttonchops! probably a DUI these days! This was about that time wasnt it? <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

In one of my favorite news stories of the week, John Cleese traveled from Oslo to Brussels by sillywalking a $5000.00 cab ride. Gotta love the Python's LINK

I just read the 'what have you found in your kids pockets' thread which reminded me of this song.. I find strange enough things in my own pockets most days-- Phone numbers scribbled on paper with no area codes, a missed digit or indication of where they came from usually baffle and confound me... <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Heres the ambidextrous pitcher Pat Venditte, now in the Yankees system <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGIq7EC5BY4&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGIq7EC5BY4&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGIq7EC5BY4&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> I do everything righthanded except for playing hockey where I shoot left---(well ....some would say politics but Im mostly amidextrous there )--I dont really know why unless I happened to line up on left wing once upon a time

Great Photo! I dont know how the left/right thing works--My friends son is 5 and he does the same thing--sometimes throwing lefty--sometimes righty...I really dont know if there is a born in dominant hand or if there is one that you just eventually choose to develop and work with more than the other. I posted a video of some guy here a year or two ago who is a college pitcher who never made that decision and now pitches with both hands---and then there are people who switch in midstream--Mickey Lolich a pitcher for the Tigers in the 60's was 'righthanded' until acertain age, then switched after an accident and became a very good lefthanded pitcher. Soooo--I dunno Ma--maybe he needs two gloves! My buddy Oscar starts T-Ball next week too. Its gonna be a good season!

Im not sure about Nebraska but my state has a Department of Labor or Employment or some such thing that you can call with legal questions reagrding work situations. Its in the Blue Government Pages at the front of the phone book. Either that or call the Attorney General's Office. they should either answer you or refer you to the Department that will.

Aha a davinci code type thing.. Where does Virginia fit into that? and why is she standing on that dead guy? Why is Becks tie crooked? and whats the significance of May 5, 1923? The knights who say NE?

what the hell happened to us? that was a bad detour I was in too.. I saw these guys in 1970---The pre Stevie Nicks/Lindsay Buckingham Fleetwood Mac. I still think Peter Green was one of the best guitarists Ive ever seen-- agreat talent and a very tough life. I wish him well <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object><object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

The Way of today isn't anything like Martindale's way
mstar1 replied to Twinky's topic in About The Way
I'd say something but Ive already been M&A'ed by shiftthis -- which is just fine with me. I wont be doing any weeping, moaning, penance or soulsearching--Its way too nice outside :) btw -this cracked me up- thanks Gen -
Thank You I'll even present myself to make it easier for anyone who wants to get me on their list
-
Yep--hopefully a mod will split it out-- I didnt intentionally want to screw up this thread. Apologies to Shellon Shiftthis--can you put the rest of your 'avoiding' me on hold until this moves somewhere else. Thank You Edit to add--Twinky started another thread--there are some good questions waiting for you over there
-
DUH-- because...YOU just told me that YOU would
-
Well thank you-- now I know that despite all your claims of "new and improved" that "Mark and Avoid" certainly hasn't changed--that odious doctrine is still alive Let me be the first
