isnt that in Peter somewhere? anyway-thats up to you If you want---- HERE are interviews some guy did with about 40 or 50 of these people. HERE is his main page If you google near death experience there are quite a few sites that catalog just about any avenue that you might have questions about

wayfer-maybe I used the wrong word---after coming out of TWI ...whoda thunk that something so simple and (ono!).... biblically accurate.... could have ever eluded us in the first place. It still seems to not be apparent to some wierwillians

    gees ---what a nouvelle idea
  5. haha Vic the bibleman, never read about people dreaming in his holy book? Many people got direction and insights via dreams in the Bible that I read...of course if you dont like that you can just toss it out ...( or hash it to pieces--as he used to say)... and make up your own rules like Vic did
  6. Well yea definitely good for him----i hate to spoil the fun and ask you when he becomes a free agent but he is a hidden jewel down in Texas land at the moment, and there is bound to be a serious bidding war for him when the time comes /cues Kenny Loggins .......Please come to Boston..in the springtime....
  7. I bet that they are in there Pond it just takes practice, lots of practice to bring them to the fore.....- I never thought that I dreamt except some occasional nonsense dreams until I had a girlfriend who had been very serious about them for nearly 20 years. She woke up slowly and wrote everything down before thinking or doing anything else and became quite good at remembering all the intracacies and symbolism BUT as soon as a thought (..time to make the coffee) or I have to do so and so today )arose the dream would dissipate like a puff of smoke back into the ether and be very hard to recreate. I think that most people are probably like that but dont know how or have given them enough value to push to be aware of them. Im no dream interpreter, the ex girlfriend goes to a priest who is a Jungian dream analyst about once a month for spiritual direction. The interpretations , patterns of imagery are usually far removed froim the initial surface meanings. I dunno its way beyond me but it does serve her well. I am much simpler in the way I read things the big point that I saw is --I hope that you still arent homeless--winter is coming on and that is not a dream

Maybe. I do know, as does anyone, that there are alot of people who suffered and many who are still suffering and that the city is a wreck there is no guess work in that. How are you supposed to treat your neighbor? Or as a concerned christian, as you obviously are, what is your general response to human suffering? Good Samaritan type stuff? something else? If you are first at the scene of a car wreck do you stop and analyze all the spiritual whys from every angle before helping the victims? The questions all seem sort of irrelevant to me, either your moved by some sort of compassion or empathy or identification to help in a situation or your not. Those other unknowables only serve as a mental distraction to divert energy away from a response of yes or no--Which is up to you. BUT Im also not so stupid to not see that there is also alot of sham charities, graft , and pockets being lined by the unscrupulous who are taking advantage of the tragedy and peoples desire to help for their own personal benefit. I doubt that I would give to anyone who knocked on my door without checking them out first and questioning them thoroughly first--especially if I dont know them. Personally Ive been giving but is to people that I have known for years and have started a small charity with a very sizable chunk of their own funds that they cant really afford. I trust them and I know exactly where very dime I give ends up---If thats against "Gods Will" then screw him-I wouldnt want him anyway
  9. Thats rich I remember when the 80's were the decade of Word Over the World that turned out to be the decade when the 'ministry' dwindled by about 90% I dont know what the 90's were.. anyone know? Entering The Promised land maybe ? Try the decade of Entering The Court House of disgrace...that might be better It usually goes opposite of what they declare it to be, so if they declare victory -they could be going down in flames for the final count
  10. There is alot of interesting things to me sort of hidden in this thread- -this from Belle immediately jumped out at me For all the rhetoric of TWIabout Christ in You, your the best and all their other one liners that they have, the bottom line of their organization is that they are better than you and that you cannot and should not trust yourself or your own inner voice, unless they do the correct lining up for you.....In ways I think it is why some have continued to be so dependant on that type of set up.....its a crippling theology that surpresses the real person and reinforces a shallow imitation that causes all sorts of very real problems beneath the veneer. From Hiway; Ive thought for years that TWI was a breeding ground for mental illness to one degree or another depending on the individual by basically pushing people to be internally in opposition to themselves and by repressing to a great degree their own god given impulses, which conflicts later came out in all sorts of bizarre and destructive ways. Not everybody--but it was rampant. I for one am glad that I can now feel my emotions much more clearly moment to moment, enjoy them(or not) and deal with them appropriately as they occur, instead of ignorring them, pushing them down and storing them up them until they finally erupted like Mount Vesuvius. Life works much better with freedom to be me anyway ----thats my 2 cents

As long as there is death there will be near death experiences everywhere. I never was all that interested in it so I dont know exactly what they see except what I over hear from time to time or hear on some cheesy Tv show on...It seems to be everything from loved ones to a bright light to warmth to nothing to whatever God of choice they have ....and yes -- a very serious and disciplined Buddhist meditator once told me in conversation that she saw Ganesha when she was deathly ill then was able to recover. but she made no big deal out of it. Ive seen plenty of Oriental looking depictions of Christ as well as any other culture or color christ--although I have no clue what he actually looked like nor does anyone else as far as i know
  14. In my town there is a little tiny bookstore, and somehow they invited Fay Vincent a local summer resident to speak and hawk his new book at a reception they were to have tonight. If the place was packed it would hold 20 people. i was looking forward to meeting and maybe just maybe if the cards fell right getting a little one on one time with the former commissioner, but I got there and it was 'cancelled due to illness'. O well -no biggie, but it would of been sort of cool, as an outsider to get the perspective of the ultimate insider and hear a few stories closeup--- maybe they'll reschedule
  15. Hello Pimpjuice Ican hear and understand some points that you make-- but as for me, and maybe others, part of your message is lost in the obscurity of your writing style... Who on earth is Wayne Dales? What are Javanians? Are these things we are suppose to know? I dont....and that and other thingsi renders sections of what you write meaningless or at best very difficuly to decipher Characterizing us all as "yuppie botccchhh mothas' or "Punk foot ministers" doesnt work for me either since you dont know most of us-or at least definitely not me. Its a gross overgeneralization much in the same vein as your over generalization that the entire US Church is dead. Granted much of it is but I wouldnt dare say all. Many churches are still growing and changing peoples lives for the better,at least on some levels if you get out and about a bit... Im not ignorring that much of what you say is true but there is no need to hide what you say under layers of obscurity for coolness sake. I'd like to hear what you have to say, but cant if you write in such a way as to be ununderstandable. I am mstar! welcome to the cafe
  16. Did she include a part about ministers not screwing other mens wives? Thats definitely bad manners
  17. Well thanks Belle---sometimes I may be---, I'll see her around town --its hard not to in a town this size--and be there as best I can and who knows? It is interesting to me that although they are completely different than TWI in what the teach-- the format although updated a bit, is almost exactly the same..from the first public ex type things to the advanced seminars to the headquarters to people that live in residence to the over exalted adulation of the top dog....weird. Nothing's new under the sun I guess
  18. Wow First game? Welcome to baseball! (now if Minneapolis can get rid of that darn dome that no one can see the ball in-it would be a good thing Hope that you had agreat time The hat thing is the 'rally cap' one of a billion baseball superstitions to spur your team on when they are behind, Im not sure of its origins--I dont remember it when I was young--but its been around for years now...... at least you dont have the 'rally monkey' like they have in Anaheim
  19. Are you sure it was actual gas?? I bought some cheapo off brand gas awhile back (forget how much) and the engine knocked like crazy until that tank was gone. at first I thought my vehicle was screwed up, but after it cleared up on the next tank it finally dawned on me why the gas was so cheap
  20. Evolutionary Enlightenment From the little Ive have seen it seems to be appealing to those who like to use a lot of multisyllabic buzzwords to say way too little, but in the hopes that they may be saying something important , 'profound' or life changing, but it is just plain painfully obvious without all the gyrations. The blog from former followers lists alot of the same abuses that, although worded different, are basically the same (surprise, surprise) as in Wayworld. I had to fight a momentary urge to 'rescue' (holdover from way thinking) the girl who witnessed to me after reading that, who Ive known from around town and is as excited as a new PFAL student.
  21. Im not sure exactly how it works but they have built in ways to break ties--If you remember last year The Red Sox and Yankees finished with the exact same record but the Yankees were declared the Division winners and the Red Sox the wild card, It may have been based on head to head games, or maybe Steinbrenners payoffs to the league Im not quite sure- but there is a system in place Its strange up here, for three years at least the Red Sox have been in contention and fighting for something, so every game meant something and had larger implications. Its weird and unfamiliar territory to not have that connection right now as it doesnt really matter and the Red Sox are going nowhere. Most of my regular hard core sox fans friends are talking about the Patriots now and look as if they are drifting in any unfamilair sea---me included Its an odd feeling-Ive taken about a three or four week vacation from baseball (excepting a few minor league games i ran into down south that were fun) to regroup on this. I'll be back for the last few weeks and the playoffs Im sure, but the spell which has lasted awhile is broken
  22. you did, i was reading this at breakfast yesterday and was thinking the same thing- alittle too strange -especially the name and him being the greatest christian blahblahblah . I've seen this movie before! maybe Wierwille really was right about the same devil spirits doing the same things over and over in different people
  23. Thanks fpr the link--and the compliment-- ---nice windows--Tiffany was an interesting guy who amongst other things moved the imagery in religious buildings from not only literalist depiction of saints and angels etc. and their symbols into more natural scenes of waterfalls, autumn trees, rivers etc as representative of spirititual things I just worked on a great set of his windows of the seasons, that to me are universal in their appeal and would work anywhere in any denomination, church, religion or building that have an entirely undogmatic approach. So your right at least imo-some things can transcend--or at least stay uninvolved to a certain extent in the divisive stuff. Observers, like listeners of music, generally see the same things individually different and project into it the meaning that they want. Im learning simple works best. gee's Im getting wayyy off topic Wanna come join my glass cult?
  24. Ha! they do What Enlightenment??? That took about 30 seconds to find
  25. Im pretty good Dave or so they tell me... ..but they definitely have a spot that beats any thing TWI headquarters ever thought of having---about a hundred acres in the rolling hills thats beautiful just to be at---I think they got that out of the 'How To Build A Cult" Manual-- I imagine they will have there own Greasespot type Cafe in a few years as well ( if they dont already.)
