They adhere to Wierwilles teachings, then Omigosh, they exhibit the same type of behaviour as the old place. What a surprise Whoda thunk

Wyo shows up in the political threads every once in awhile to voice his extreme disgust of anyone to the left of the extreme right, and fumes at all us unamerican types He was in not too long ago... Hiya! Hope you're well

I just remebered another poster. Vincent The Prophet, I think that he went by Vberardi if I remember right. He'd be gone for along time then all of a sudden start almost an entire page of topics. each post would have about 200 links and about 500 verses of scripture. It usually lasted about a week or two or three then enough people would get ticked off and he would leave. then The whole thing would happen again about a year or so later. If my memory isnt failing I think that happened 3 or 4 times. He was very serious about his subjects but I dont think I ever made it through even one of his apocalyptic and book length posts. Has anyone mentioned Mog21st Century? He always asked questions that were outside..sometimes way outside ..the box. If either oif you guys are lurking Hello!

I was driving around and somehow picked up WFAN from NY today I heard alot of heated talk about Pujols showing up Floyd last night in the 9th. I was already asleep, but I guess Floyd grounded out to Pujols and Wainright covered the bag... but Pujols nonchalantly jogged to the base and made Floyd hobble up the line instead of just tossing it to the pitcher for the out. pffft-maybe its just frustrated New Yorkers ...maybe it really was a dick move. The WFAN callers are pleading for Maine to drill Pujols tonight. (not sure waking that guy up any more would be a great idea for The Mets, though). Im not watching all that closely but I think alot of teams could beat either of these two teams right now, Jeff Weaver and Jeff Suppan?? Good Grief... Im hoping that the Tigers arent losing their edge during the long layoff-They were playing at a championship level that for me was great to watch-- but a week is a long long time in baseball

Ive been out along time so I have a hard time remembering how incredibly stupid TWI was. How pathetic can it go when an adult has to ask permission to take a cake decorating class. A cake decorating class??..What..was Christ gonna go out of business if she took it??? It gets even worse when the next one up the rung cant figure it out and it has to continue to go up until someone can make this momentous and earthshattering decision. What a complete pile of sh!t they subjected people to..... What would they ever do if they had to deal with real problems

It will be good to have Sweet Lou back on the field --Nobody can do it quite like Lou can....
-
I think Fox reeled Lou in, I saw him earlier this year and at that time he was telling a lot of insider stories that were interesting. but really didnt have much to do with the game....I guess Fox didnt like it... No Mas...he sounds lost now... It will be good having him back where he belongs---I look forward to him ripping his first base out of the ground at Wrigley--then I'll know Lou is back

ALL accounts? Whose accounts were those? How did I miss those? I'd love to see them. I have seen mainstream Christian groups that have described him as 'heretica'l or as a 'false teacher' or at the very best 'controversial', but most dont mention him at all-- and as far as I know certainly werent being "impacted" by him, other than an occasional group that would offer cult counselling. I could be wrong... How about a few links (not all) from just some or even a few of these mainstream Christian sources that were impacted by his ministry so much. Thanks- I'll certainly be looking forward to reading those

There is a great feed almost every Friday in the park where my shop is. Its called the 'Industrial Park" but really its just a bunch of funky buildings tucked out the way nestled in the mountains a little out of town down by a river. Most of the guys there have known each other since childhood (im the newcomer at 3 years) and get together after work on Friday at "Non Toxic Johns" shop for food and a good time and their friends and girlfriends come as well. There is usually anywhere from 15-50 people and everybody brings something. Matt and is usually smoking or deep frying a turkey or cooking up some amazing piece of succulent meat on the huge grill. The guys who fish may bring trout or bass. People come and go and bring everything from cheeseplates and munchies to roasted duck..Someone who knows there stuff came with a pickup full of mushrooms a few weeks ago to add to the feed... You never know what might happen but it always good and there is always plenty. Somebody always makes sure you have a beer in your hand and food on your plate. There are some pretty good musicians that go and more often than not some spontaneous jam sessions of one sort or another will break out...( usually after someone has smoked something ( but shhhh about that)that are very very good and usually hilarious. (NonToxic was atouring musician for several years before he became a cabinet maker, and there is always several guiatrists a few mandolin players, a harmonica player and if we are lucky a fiddler or two.. The place is basically a wildlife refuge, so we see lots of interesting critters-- we have had a telescope set up to watch the moonrise over the mountains, while other play horseshoes or shoot darts-(lots of serious dart players) tell stories, let go of the week and just hangout and have agood time... There are lots of exquisite restaurants where i live, but on Friday nights I know where Im going....

I gotta ask about the playoff system- is there a wildcard God and a few rounds of playoff games? How do they determine a winner? is it 3 out of 5 or 4 out of 7? Or is it more like a Bowl game set up? The Egyptian League is really having a good year, although the always strong and popular Atlas and Zeus could rally in the second half of the season....... its tough being a Celtic fan this year

Sure! I'll speak to the parole board anytime for you! Welcome back
-
The Tigers are looking incredibly focussed and hungry and Rogers is coming off one of the best starts of his career Did someone say something about toast?
-
Wow! That which was lost is found, all sorts of unexpected things are going on Welcome back from the phantomzone Rocky--good to see you!

Im in disbelief. This is incredibly sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Lidle family, friends and teammates. Sad, sad accident.

Those Tigers are lookin good to me---I know these things can spin on a dime, but like strangeone said they really seem to be clickin on all cylinders right now. I was watching last night with a friend watching Zito set down the first 8 and as he said the words"I dont see how anyone can beat the A's" the Tigers immediately responded with 5 runs like clockwork. They are deserving, and it would be great for the city if they can hold it all together for the next few weeks. ------------- Editted: for bad timing Rest In Peace Cory Lidle

HERE"S a guy with a really strange take on the matter, that I found while reading the papers today. GOP delaying 2nd coming Even if you believed in a literal second coming , Im hard pressed to think Bush has all that much power to stop JC from doing his thing, but then again he is the devil isnt he? Strange This guy is taking donations and flying around in his own 747 to preach this. gee who woulda guessed?

I posted that I loved it down there, but that honestly was the hardest part for me to really overcome, it wasn't that I necessarily believed it but after whizzing through at 65mph a number of times and seeing stripmall towns, fireworks stands, and yes, Waffle houses everywhere-- I got the wrong impressionand so held that idea unthinkingly for a number of years. I was wrong It did take slowing down-way down, interacting with the locals on more than a quick run through way to change my mind and not hold onto previously unfounded perceptions . For the most part I found it very civilized and charming--especially in the smaller towns--(well most of them anyway). Atlanta you can keep though--that ones definitely not for me-- Like it as I might its a perfect autumn day here and no matter where I go, nothing anywhere beats autumn in New England

Ive taken about 6 trips throughout the southern states in the last few years and i have really learned to like it---well love it really---There is an interesting way of life that I have found doesnt exist in other parts of the country that Ive been to--that has a real and definite charm to it...when you take the time to experience it. I was in Mississippi myself about amonth ago---and I was totally charmed. Being a northerner it will never really be as much a part of me as someone bred in the atmosphere but I can say that I do see it and can appreciate it, as well as all the little sub cultures from state to state I dont know if I would ever change being a New Englander --Ive moved several times and always come back--there is a *something* about this area that also becomes part of you, as much as I can bitch about the winter weather, it has a harder to define appeal that I do love and always calls me 'home'-- but in a much different way than the regionalism that runs through the south
-
That sounds like an unholy disaster coming down the pike imo You'd think (well i would anyway) that $11.00 X Howmany? about 10,000 cars a game X 81 home games would be enough for most people.
-
Damn - if you look closely they even have the same tag line as me Great minds...

$15? Count your blessings, my Yankee fan friend just spent $70 to park at Yankee Stadium for game 2 (Yea -thats not a misprint $70.00--up from the regular $48.00) Now you know why I bitch about the prices of East Coast baseball. Somebody has to pay ARod to bat under .100, Johnson to be a shell of himself, and Pavano to not even show up I'll be expecting a shakeup in the Bronx-- Glad you had a good time though--everyone ought to go to a playoff game at least once in their life(hopefully more)

I llove the A's defense. They have the best outfield defense Ive seen in awhile.Their combination of range, which is perfect for the two large parks, and arms, which will keep the Tigers from going from 1st to 3rd on singles, is ideal for this series. The pitchings not great but it is very good, . Esteban Loaiza was better in the second half than Verlander. Zito is better than Robertson. And Harden at 90% is probably better than Bonderman; though it remains to be seen how healthy he is. I really like the way the A's are playing, but after watching the Tigers close down the Yanks who doesnt like the Tigers? I'd probably give the bullpen edge to the Tigers. But it's pretty close, and the A's have the better close IMO. But then again its the playoffs--Who knows what will happen? Game 1: Tuesday, Oct. 10, 8:00 EDT Detroit (Robertson) at Oakland (Zito) Game 2: Wednesday, Oct. 11 Time TBA Detroit (TBA) at Oakland (TBA) Game 3: Friday, Oct. 13, 8:00 EDT Oakland (TBA) at Detroit (TBA) Game 4: Saturdayday, Oct. 14, 7:30 EDT Oakland (TBA) at Detroit (TBA) Game 5 (if nec.): Sunday, Oct. 15, 4:00 EDT Oakland (TBA) at Detroit (TBA) Game 6 (if nec.): Wednesday, Oct. 17 Time 8:00 EDT Detroit (TBA) at Oakland (TBA) Game 7 (if nec.): Wednesday, Oct. 18 Time 8:00 EDT Detroit (TBA) at Oakland (TBA)

The NYDaily News already has Torre getting fired and being replaced by Pinella- I cant imagine that King George, who wore a 2006 World Champions coat to the first day of spring training this year, is too happy. A Billion dollar payroll over the last 6 years-might of bought something---sorry Geo. The executioner is walking up to the gallows---heads should be rolling shortly

Too bad it got a tarnished like that for you--There is nothing in my book quite like the electricity of playoff baseball-Its incredibly exhilirating. I wonder if the next round will have Tommy LaSorda commercials where he looks in the mirror and exhorts himself to get over it and go to the TV...
