  1. I dont know if this is applicable to the thread or what you are looking for but I do remember the example that Wierwille taught of the child that was killed in a car accident . In Wierwilles bizarre view it was the MOTHER's fault. She brought it on herself by her nervousness and apparently it had nothing at all to do with the driver of the out of control car. I cant remember if he said it was a real story from one of his early churches or whether he made it up but that certainly is one hell of an awful thing to lay at the feet of an already suffering mother. That was early on in the class and was foundational. Way theology had (has) a very strong blame the victim mentality..

  5. We saw. The all powerful post and run. You too can have this power.
  6. Like a lot of things in TWI, it sort of sounds interesting but has no real meaning Word Salad .I think that it was part of the process of the break down of critical thought that was necessary to be indoctrinated into wayworld.. Just hold it in abeyance (turn your mind off) for awhile
  7. Thanks. As someone who has worked a total of about 3 weeks in factories over the course of my life, and have had enough by the time I get done with any ONE thing I am making. It was eyeopening and amazing to see people make 1200 of anything everyday for 30-40 years. I hope that those people are well taken care of, well paid, and when they are done making their 10 or 15 million footballs they are remembered and remunerated for their contribution to american culture. I know I'll be thinking of Deb, Loretta, Peg,Glen,Emmet, Tina, Annamae, Pam and Michelle during games from now on and everytime Im having a catch in the yard.
  8. Good point--but dont jump to conclusions or forget that plagiarism, claiming it as your very own, and profitting from it was a big point of the christian walk as demonstrated in the original class as well. Mr Lynn has learned those basics of his christianity as demonstrated by Wierwille very well and so far refused to budge. I suppose that in some circles it beats having a real job
  9. I would have spent more time dealing with real problems instead of being fearful of imaginary ones... I would have taken better care of my teeth...
  10. Im curious why he continues to beat the horse not only after it is dead but after it has been buried, decomposed and returned to dust too. Isn't it time that he at least he put together a cheesy infomercial for late night TV with all the other crackpots that have a miracle cure for everything? ...Hi... Im John Lynn. Ive been with two cults that have failed miserably and am up and at it again!... It would fit in perfectly with Zumba, Jack Lalanne, Girls Gone Wild, shake weight, and the real estate midgets on my 2 AM viewing schedule

Darn are you sure?-I was hoping for one last conspiracy battle to liven up this old place
  16. At times like this I wonder if years from now if someone will post "Does anyone remember GreasespotCafe?" I may have alzheimers by then, I already can barely remember yesterday -so there is no telling-- But still-----thanks Paw
  17. I know I that I swallowed the bait and TWI took advantage of me for a decade when I was very vulnerable, hurting and easily swayable. I know that others had it much worse than I did. I lost a decade while in, then another decade trying to restore my sanity and to rebuild a sense of my own identity that had been severely neglected and closed off during crucial periods in my life in order to 'serve the ministry'. Im still working on it to some degree, but at least Im not angry at them anymore. TWI in one sense is old news for me, Ive been out for over 20 years so Ive let most of it go and am working at my todayself most of the time. Its like looking back at another life that I dont even recognize as my own anymore (well---it really wasnt my own). A learning experience-they certainly werent the only charlatans Ive run into on this journey from womb to tomb or the only time that Ive made very bad decisions or wasted time on fruitless endeavours that were bad for me... I did learn what to avoid and to look further beneath the surface of things --even if it did cost me a large chunk of my youth to learn that lesson.. Live and learn but dont forget the learn part
  18. You could always follow the gracious example of our illustrious Fada in da Verd--- "So I went down the aisle and I kicked him,-- and you know where---he sat up and looked at me---so I kicked another one...." Wear the pointy shoes if you go that route
  19. Well ... at least he had that right... ... or as Wierwille would say "Truth on the heel of the devil is still truth". Ive been saying that since I got out. Ok back to your thread...
  20. :biglaugh: now that would make for an interesting day--Id go myself to see that
  21. Its hard as an outsider to really know, regardless of where it is, I'd say that it is dependant on the relationship that you have with your relative. There is no real way that I can know that dynamic, although "nasty and vindictive" makes it sound like its pretty dysfunctional, as well as your mentioning of wanting to take as many as you can out of there. I know when I attend a wedding that in a way it is my way of lending my 'seal of approval'to the marriage and way of wishing them well. There are weddings that I consciously have not gone to because I was sure that they wouldnt work. Plus I'd hate to go to any wedding if I had an attitude or unresolved issues that might spill over uncomfortably into the event. Regardless of what I think or the differences that we may have I still would not want to deprive them of what they consider to be their day and their moment. Its a tough call, and I dont know enough about the internal workings to really know. From the little that you have said, Id probably try to be gracious about it and send them as genuinely a thoughtful gift as I could along with a simple note to wish them well. But then again if you really despise them and its all for show why go at all ? Its up to you---Id like to hear the final decision whatever it may be
