Yeah, maybe that was it. don't know. It's been so long....

Gee, do you think they have "private funds?" (Remember that term? When stuff came up in residence, we were told sometimes we could use "private funds." I had none, needless to say.....)

What a number they did to our heads. It is good to know that one more ex-wayfer hasn't been creamed by the Devil. Imagine that. :D-->

I think the people accusing other people of being possessed weren't so clean themselves.

I was in Fellow Laborers in CA and we all went on it together. I tried it a couple of other times but it was harder to stay on doing it alone. My skin cleared up and I lost some weight and I felt great. But I do remember how good that donut shop smelled that was nearby.

That's so true - mistakes are unavoidable. In TWI we were led to believe that they were all life or death, that we could end up "out of fellowship" and outside of God's blessings and protection. It put us in a mental straight jacket. I now believe God is so much bigger than that. If we truely love Him, He knows that and his care is constant. He can always cover for our silly mistakes. Most mistakes are not a matter of life and death.

Oh, alfa thanks for reading this! You are so cool. I know My Story wasn't exactly short. That's why I am so amazed people read it. LOL!And Tinny you too! Thank you. You weren't the only one in hell, girl.

Along the same line, I read "Blood Brother" by Scott's half-sister, Anne Bird. That was pretty good. And a really good book that I've almost finished is "A Deadly Game" by Catherine Crier. Wow. That one covers the whole gamut. Man oh man, after reading that, along with the other two, I cannot get over what an evil person that Scott Peterson is, and his mother is something else too.

There's always Amazon.com for any book you want to find. You can even buy second hand books for cheaper, and in good condition.

I always wondered about that....I could tell from the Book of Acts that most of the church simply stayed where they lived and "moved the Word" from there. Why were we supposed to all be jumping around all the time? Now it's a new year, everybody! Time for you ASSIGNMENTS!! You there, you go here! And you who were where they were, you go there now... and your area is doing fine? Well, we'll fix that! We'll remove the people you're comfortable with and send in some new Corps grads to make your lives a living hell! And moving every three years? You can't even get really established in a community in three years. You're just starting to really put down roots by that time. It's ridiculous. Stagnant is right. The dead sea is dead because it has no OUTLET. If you have no input into anything, where's that at? Do they just sit there and take in the latest rag and spit it back out? The same rag that is regurgitated from before? eeewww gag me How can they STAND IT???? If you're in TWI and lurking, GET OUT NOW!!!!!!! Unless you like stagnation.
-
And many many more.
-
Yee gads, moving every three years!! forgot about that one! During the last 6 years in TWI, I got out of that one by being inconsequential.

Thanks, sunesis. :)-->

Thank you, Belle for actually reading the whole thing. And to anyone else who actually did.

The guys I work with gave me flowers today for "Womens' History Month," and they're taking me to lunch tomorrow too. At work, if some one is sick and they use up all their sick time, they can receive donated leave from co-workers. One time I had to be in the hospital and I received 100 hours of sick leave from people. People are always recognizing other peoples' birthdays, throwing baby showers, etc. The blood mobile comes around and there are those who give blood on a regular basis. I guess most of the examples I can think of right now are from work.

They didn't include definition #2: Wherein underware wedges itself between the wearer's buttocks.

I wonder if these guys ever were around TWI because they sure hit the nail on the head about a lot of things. Not that TWI is the only organization this stuff happens in. But stuff like "cleanse the household" and "spiritual suspicion" sure ring a bell. And finding devil spirits in people and kicking them out, the people that is, instead of the spirits. And the list of questions to ask yourself? Yes to ALL of them! Reminds me of being at a booth at the state fair where everyone in the branch HAD to spend time there to promote TWI and JC is not God etc. Some one from Jehovah's Witnesses came by and we were talking about how both our groups understood JC was not God, but the Jehovah guy commented "But we don't exert as much control over our members as you." The guy I was at the booth with got all defensive and started claiming that TWI wasn't at ALL controlling, etc. I'm standing there with him thinking, "They made us be here at this booth, didn't they?" I have that book around here somewhere....
-
Yeah, she's right. What's up with that? Where's your COMMITMENT? Did you LIE when you said you would tell your story????? ;)-->

Sorry that happened. :(-->
