I always thought Brad and Jen looked like brother and sister. Not that I don't feel sorry for Jen. She has said that Brad lacks "a sensitivity chip."

I just read what "Amanda" said. She really told them. I didn't see any responses back from anybody.

outofdafog: "I find myself stretched out in front of Lifetime movies all day sundays still in my pajamas, a small twinge of guilt but then it goes right by". Right on, me too. Lifetime for Women movies! ("Deceived" "My Lover was Evil" "Deceit and Murder" "Poisonous Love" and the like)

I think the Advanced Class is way overrated. Like God won't talk to you unless you're a grad?

And don't forget how in the South they're always "fixin" to do something. Wonder how they get anything done if they're always "fixin" to do it.

Our truck got stolen. I was convinced it was in a chop shop and I would never see it again. Well, three weeks later a policeman called to tell us our truck had been found parked on a street. My "believing" was that it was gone for good. Sometimes God just does stuff for us, believing or no believing. Like John Lynn said once during one of his itineraries to our town, "Have you ever been afraid of something and it DIDN'T HAPPEN?" All it takes is one time and it disproves the "law." The summer when I was 16, I read Truman Capote's "In Cold Blood" about this family that got murdered by these guys they didn't know. That same summer, Richard Speck murdered 8 nurses in Chicago. I would lay awake at night being afraid that someone would invade our house and I too would be randomly murdered. And guess what, it didn't happen. That whole thing about fear being negative believing put us all in bondage. We had to fear our fear. If all believing equalled receiving, the universe would be in chaos. Joe Shmoe believes for one thing, Johnny Jump Up believes for the opposite, so which one gets results? Do two opposites happen at the same time? I trow not. Then again, I know Jesus demanded belief on the part of those he delivered. It's not something I totally reject. I know that there is such a thing as faith. But I believe that what we were taught in TWI was a perversion of the truth, whatever that may be.

I went to Deseree's bridal shower. I was out WOW. I was so poor that I could only bring her a plant that I put in the pot myself with dirt from the ground. How embarrassing to remember that. Sorry they got divorced. She was really beautiful and they seemed so much in love.

This is more fun than a monkey of barrels. Time sure funs when you're having flies. You lose, you snooze.

I remember being told to get the ABS in faster because they were losing money on the interest. It annoyed me. It showed to me how totally unthankful they were to get any ABS at all.

Getting put on probation is the best thing that could happen to an innie. That's how my brother left. They realized they were happier and life was better. So they didn't try to go back. oh, and if you get put on probation, they LET you ABS?? How magnanimous of them.

I think they're gonna get convicted. And serve some time, probably not enough though. They ruined people's lives.

This is an incredible documentary. Regarding TWI, as I kept watching it, it struck me that Enron propounded the same group-think that TWI did. This guy, Skilling, reminded me a lot of Martindale. The guys at the top had all the "little people" believing that everything was hunky dory and their stock would go up and up indefinitely, as we in TWI believed we were God's only true ministry. Different scam, same dynamics. I really recommend this documentary.

What Is The Way -- For Those Considering Joining TWI
outandabout replied to Bob's topic in About The Way
WOW I just read this. Great job, Bob! A really great blow by blow retort to TWI's site! -
Bagpipes, I'm looking forward to hearing about your exit conversation with your leader. As for the ABS thing - "By his stripes we are healed." Telling people to give money for healing is saying Christ didn't do enough by suffering and dying for us.

During the period of time that I was in the process of leaving, my Waybrain and my own mind were at war. A thought would come to me, and then a Waybrain thought would contradict it, often as a memory of some leader yelling something. I actually started writing it down, with a line drawn down the middle of the paper, with my thoughts on one side and Waybrain responses on the other, back and forth, my thoughts, my Waybrain, my thoughts...... It was all part of the process of waking up, of my real self coming out of the stupor I had been in. I realized that we have a brain for a reason. We are supposed to think our own thoughts and use our reasoning abilities. Bagpipes, those thoughts you wrote down had some great insights into what was wrong with TWI. Unfortunately, we were all suppressing our real thoughts and feelings in order to conform to what we were told was "spiritual" and an acceptable way to be. It's so much better to be able to be human and free to come to conclusions about things, and have opinions and even disagree with people. And you could be right and you could even be wrong, but that's ok. Being wrong is not a sin. Free! Free at last!

"A) THEY WEREN'T DOING THE WORK. It's easy to require all the M & Ms sorted by position in the rainbow when YOU'RE not the one handpicking them all". Is that really true?
