At the drive-through when they put the coins on top of the bills and you have to do manuel gymnastics to keep them from falling to the ground. When the cashier and the bagger ask you umpteen times if you need help carrying one bag of groceries out to the car. All the people outside the grocery store begging for money for something or other. The alarm going off in the morning (4:30 in my case). Red lights for no reason, no one at the intersection but me and I have to sit there. Mostly that bugs me if I'm in a hurry. Hillary Clinton. When the ATM asks me if I want English or Spanish.

And back to "hints"... Maybe when our branch leaders punished us for not giving the branch leader a good enough surprise birthday party. Gee, maybe it was when branch leader's wife said in a meeting, "And I don't want So and So to not show up because of that "damn baby." Maybe it was when the branch leader and wife encouraged a WOW to have an abortion and go into the Corps instead of marry the father, which she wanted. Maybe it was when I got reproved for bringing crackers instead of cookies and my branch leader told us crackers or cookies. Yeah, well, the list goes on..... Oh and the biggie....Maybe it was when the President of the Way International was dancing around in tights. That was a clue.

I read somewhere that August is the rainiest season in Ohio. So that's when we had the ROA. And then we were responsible for it raining in the rainiest season.

I joined the Red Hat Society. It's for women 50 and over and when we get together we wear purple clothes and red hats. We go to movies, eat out, sight-see places etc. It gets me "out and about." http://www.redhatsociety.com/ Just a thought. I've told this story before but, My truck got stolen and I tryly BELIEVED it was definitely somewhere in a chop shop. Well, the police found it and we got it back. My "negative believing" didn't bring the negative results we were taught it would. The great thing is that I got blessed anyway. I guess God does stuff for us believing or not. And sh1t happens, believing or not. TWI thought they had all the answers, that everything that happened was due to positive or negative believing, thus we were all responsible for EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED. Like when those useless school buses broke down on the way to the Texas farm on the way back to Emporia. I recall the Corps Coordinators yelling about it at lunch and blaming the passengers. Geeeesh

I just watched "Walk the Line." At one point, Johnny Cash felt inspired to perform for prisoners. His manager responded that it wouldn't go over very well with a majority of his fans who happend to be Christians. Johnny Cash replied "Then they aren't Christians."

I liked Bucky. I thought he was cute. I saw him on the preview of the "Tonight Show" spinning the "Wheel of Consolation." I think Ace is cute, too. Of course I could be their mother. Hah!

That really chaps my hide to hear that outgoing WOWs in training couldn't see it if they were in training while their region saw it. A PRIME EXAMPLE of how legalism superceded common sense and compassion. Typical TWI. Pi$$es me off!

Maybe you could do some reverse witnessing.

I got part-way through the clergy meeting notes. What striked me about them is that CW is NEVER to blame for ANYTHING, but is so quick to call people names, yell at them, call the corps possessed etc.

Has anybody read "Marley and Me"? It's about a Lab. If you love dogs, you will love this book. It made me laugh and cry.

Thanks, Belle for sharing those. That letter that dropped the Corps couple brought back to me how awful it was to be graduated corps. I was accused of much the same. What's with all the "not striving and not keeping up" talk? All the reproof (actually criticism) was so general and unspecific. That's how they liked to put you down, with "spiritual" generalized accusations. It was like if you were Corps you had to be so DYNAMIC ALL THE TIME, always ON and being so SPIRITUAL and GUNG HO. (Maybe 12 cups of coffee a day would help). I'm so glad I don't have to live up to their imposed impossible standards. Getting kicked out or leaving is the best thing some one could do.

Yeah, I remember all that Mal Pak stuff. We were also supposed to have the cars all with a tank full of gas. OK, so we all take off from Emporia with our tank of gas because "they" were going to strike us there. And then we use up the tank of gas, and since the world is ending, there are no more gas stations working, and then what??? It made no sense, but at the time I dared not question.
