I feel sorry for them.

Where's Johnnie Cochran when you need him? Oh yeah, he died.

I couldn't stand to hear "Move the Word."

For some reason this incident remains in my memory: We were all in that room over the cafeteria (oops Dining Room) at Emporia. Somebody walked in front of the stage and Loy screamed and ranted about it. Even then I didn't get it. Another one that happened to me: I went to a movie with a guy and afterwards we were hanging out and he asked me if I ever felt like leaving TWI. I said, yes, I did. Well, this guy goes to the branch leader (T#m L@lly) who then asked me to meet him in his office later. What ensued was a thirty minute tirade in which he dragged up every negative about me that he could dredge up, including things that were not true and he had to right to assume. Finally I broke down sobbing and he gave me a hug. It was after I broke down that I got positive reinforcement. I even believed that I deserved it. It took me a long time to get over that incident and I could remember word for word the things he said as they echoed in my brain for years.

When I was a kid we used to call him "Evil Pretzel."

My first impression of those dance moves was that they messed with the video. I couldn't believe they were really doing that.
-
At least I learned how to file and floss my teeth. It was downhill from there.

Are they the only Way Prod group in TWI? I would be very bored seeing the same people over and over again. Dressing it up with some dance moves doesn't help. I also thought the dancing didn't go well with the attire.

I had one of those film frames too. Don't know what I did with it. I think VeePee's eyes were closed in part of it.

How to become a Canadian? Sneak over the border, work under the table, avail yourself to health care and emergency rooms, then wait for amnesty and you're in. Oh wait a minute, that's here.

I used to think VP looked like an old guy in the PFAL video; now he looks rather young. ha ha

You know you are in TWI if you jump three feet and get a knot in the pit of your stomach every time the phone rings.
-
Inquiring minds want to know. I think that's interesting, even if it was 25 years ago. We talk about a lot of stuff around here that happened 25 years ago and so what if we do!

One time when I was at twig, this kid fell asleep. The twig leader's wife grabbed him and hauled him off and screamed at him. (She was a b1tch anyways)

Are the TWIs Bathrooms Breeding Bolsheviks?
outandabout replied to JavaJane's topic in About The Way
I remember before at trip to the Texas Farm, VPW told us that if we needed to pee or poop to do it in the field. Nobody did, though. -
Just checked the New Your Times best seller list. It's number one on the hardcover non fiction. Geeeesh. That's one book I won't be buying!

There's this book going around lately entitled "The Secret." I saw it on Oprah and heard of it elsewhere. Guess what "The Secret" is. That what you envision and focus on your RECEIVE. Everything that comes to you is because of what you put out. Sound familiar?

Were You Afraid You Might Be A Grease Spot?...
outandabout replied to Lone Wolf McQuade's topic in About The Way
As far as fear of becoming a grease spot goes- I recall driving to an Ex-Wayfer fellowship while still in TWI but on the way out. I was afraid I would get into an accident on the way there because I was leaving the walls of protection of TWI. I guess I wasn't totally afraid though, because I did drive to the meeting. -
I just watched part of the Spring Blossoms thing. Part is all I could stand. Is that really all that Way Prod is doing these days?
-
Sounds like a funeral dirge.

Turn it off! Turn it off! I can't analyze it as well as above, but all I know is that it's boring and dull. I can't believe they've got "Present Truth" up there.
-
I got 100%. I guess it was all worth it then.

I lived in Greenville for a year (80 -81). It was my Corps Assignment. Neat little southern town.

Where's the rest, where's the rest?
