What ingrates. I remember being told at a TC meeting that we needed to get the ABS into HQ faster because Howard Allen said they were losing interest. It ....ed me off. Instead of being grateful, they were worried about interest. Ingrates.

I too saw it in the Way rag an ad to leave money to the Way. It said "Remember The Way in Your Will". It kind of creeped me out. (even in my Way Brain)

Think I'll go pitch a tent in the backyard for old time's sake. Then I'll go stand outside the bathroom for 15 minutes before I go in. Don't know how to get that sulfer smell into the water, though.

Amen Ditto I too bought the Thessalonian tapes. I was a Corps Grad. Couldn't get through them. I have the green folder on the piano with sheet music in it. I used the tapes later to record stuff i.e. children's songs for my kid.

They actually sold us sea sponges when I was in residence. I didn't like rinsing it out in the bathroom sink. It was embarrassing. MAL packs were also mandated in the fall of 1979 when another supposed disaster was looming. We had to break up into groups that would flee together. Then after meetings with our group we would go on with our regular in residence training, and we were not to speak of it until it was time again to break into our little groups. What I never got was how we were safer fleeing from Emporia. If it was chaos everywhere why would we be safer? And we were supposed to always have a full tank of gas in the car we would be taking off in. What was supposed to happen when the gas ran out? Then it never happened but that was because we saved the country with our prayers.

Last night I had a Way Dream. Some other people and I were crawling on the floor eating pieces of foam. A leader was standing over us. Then I stood up and told the leader, "I'm not going to do this anymore." Then I woke up.

"Someone will offer you a gift and you’ll say,'Well Rev. Martindale doesn’t want us taking those anymore.' I’ll fire you as soon as I hear about it. If you don’t agree with me on this, get out of my ministry." MY ministry?

"VP head" ha ha ha ha I never could understand why we had to "Pray for the Board of Trustees." What were they doing anyway? And why would we want to put pictures of guys we didn't know on our walls?

Hmmmm, I sort of remember that if you worked at a stand you could get some food there. Maybe I'm wrong. A lot of my memories are fuzzy. Anyway, that was very UNCHRISTIAN of that guy to refuse you food! I'm sure GOD understood why you had to "steal".

I remember how they cordoned off in white that special section they all got to sit in at the Rock.

I can't believe I actually "witnessed" to a guy on an airplane that the original sin was masturbation. Makes me cringe to remember that.
