  1. I agree with dovey, The movie needs subtitles. I only watched one foreign movie with subtitles (I'm not an artsy fartsy type person)Le Fem Nakita, and it was excellent. The American Version with whats her face, Brigdette Fonda SUCKED. I can't even remember the name of the movie that's how bad it was. If Gibson want's to do a movie for artistic and personal reasons that's Fan-fooking-tastic. But he shouldn't be surprised if the majority of people don't want to sit through his great self-serving artistic voyage. It's like Freedom of Speech. You have the right to say what you want, but people have the right not to listen. But, that said, if he really is doing it for true artistic reasons I guess he wouldn't care if 10 people go see it, or nobody does. God I LOVED him in "The Bounty." Man he was in primo condition. Best movie out of all the "Mutiny" movies too, I think. ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound...
  2. Psalmie you should call 1800 HerbDoc. Ask them for a catalog. (their free)The guy, Richard Schulze or something like that, is a real fanatic but he's got excellent stuff. I think herbal uses his stuff in fact. ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound...
  3. laleo! Wrong thread! LOL. Actually I don't mind talking about ancient sexual encounters cause I sure as hell haven't had any recent ones. I'm a good girl ya know. But thanks for the info, very entertaining. ;)--> ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound...
  4. I love expresso, but the last expresso machine I got as a Christmas present was around 1987. I actually prefer Turkish coffee. Tastes like mud. Served in little cups and you shoot it straight down. At least I did. But whoo hoo what a caffine buzz. ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound...
  5. The biggest thing I have learned is that I'm not going to always get what I want. PFAL indoctornated in me that all I had to do was believe God "get my believing UP there) speak in tongues and get mind pics of what I want and I'll get it. It took me over 20 years to understand that sometimes the direction I'm pointing myself towards isn't always the direction that God is pointing me to. I think many people were manipulated by "The Way" this way, or thinking that they had rotten believing when their hearts were telling them that He would work through a situation another way, which wasn't always proper protocal, according to the wayfers. Or hell, other peoples opinions period for that matter. ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound...
  6. Steven Curtis Chapman, The Gaither Family, The Carter Family. Patty Loveless, Sounds of Blackness, Lyle Lovette, Wynona Judd. Lari White, Emmylou Harris... I have the soundtrack to "The Apostle" all the artists above are from it. EXCELLENT Soundtrack. To me anyway. Inspiring music. PS. I wouldn't call Sounds of Blackness easy listening but hot damn, they're so good I had to fit them in there somewhere! ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound...
  7. I'm sure others have the same concern about a child picking it up and eating it. If that happened and the child died I'm sure they would be able to find a case for murder. I would think. Even though the person didn't intend for a child to eat it, the actions were so reckless and malicious that he'd have to be a fool not to know the possible dangers. I really hope they get this person who's doing this. I swear one side of me wouldn't even want to bring in the law. For what? He probably wouldn't go to jail for killing dogs. I'd like to just string him up, rub him with sausages (non poison) and let a pack of pitbulls loose on him. ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound... 8. LOL! Feeding your dog a burrito is just asking for it! I bet she learned her lesson! ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound...
  9. I'm NOT ignoring this thread, I just can't read it, I just can't read it. It's too heartbreaking for me to contemplate. Yes I am a big advocate of spaying and nuetering. I will go back and read this when I feel I can stomache it. ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound...
  10. Do we have an GSers in this area? What the heck is going on here? From what I've read there have been 8 dogs fatally poisoned by some a$$hole leaving poisoned sausages in parks. I hear there is a real debate going on over having offleashed dogs there. Here's the thing. I'm a real advocate for leash laws. There is nothing more damn annoying (and dangerous) than walking your pooch and having some dog bolt out of the yard at your dog. So from what I understand it's a common thing for Portlanders to walk their dogs around without a leash? Don't they have enough off leash dog parks available? I'm kind of spoiled out here in the sticks cause I have a great dog park (complete with ponds and trails) just a few miles from where I live. I would never consider walking around town with my dog offleash. Even if she were the type to stick right by my side. Just what is the problem over there that somebody would actually go around parks and plant poisoned sausage? I'd like to catch the guy doing it and make him eat that sausage himself. ...It's hard to be humble when you own a rottweiler... ...Ain't no grave, gonna hold this body down..when I hear that trumpet sound...

  12. Thanks for the update washington. I followed Dot's recipe, and it is a great recipe, but it is a lot of work. I wanted to just try Canidae. I looked on there website and I called the store nearest to me (Wheaton) and I was told they didn't have it or was out of stock or something like that. I have a feeling I was talking to somebody who didn't know much or was a newbie or something so I'm going to have to check into that again. Oh yeah, I have been putting the vitamins into her dog food though, but I am definately going to try to get my hands on the Canidae again. Thanks for the update. 13. OMG. When Nico blows them she can clear a room. It's like a powerful weapon. And then she looks at her rock hard butt and is like "did i do that?" omg it's so funny. I think we could start an entire thread on dog gas. (trying to be clean here,;)--> "He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. 23. Dovey, do you mean Dachsunds? (spelling please) I got po'd cause when I brought Nico in to get her shots they had some new airhead young girls working there that freaked out I was bringing a rott there. I mean they had to be such newbies. My vet (who I have been going to for 20 years) had to tell them she was a freindly girl. duh. Maybe if they pay attention they would have noticed that. And yeah! Little dogs somtimes think they are BIG DOGS in a little body! LOL! Mark: OMG you should hear me scream. I've read it really doesnt do any good. Although I've broke up a few fights by screaming BEFORE the dogs got into it! Oh yes! My scream is worse than any dogs growl. I sound like Sam Kinison. AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! The guy who owned Angel told me he didnt want to interfere cause he thought trying to pulling Angel off would have made it worse? I don't know. He was upset at Angel though cause my Nico was clearly trying to get away. She didn't want to fight. The thing is you need cooperation from the other owner to break up a fight. You can't have one person sitting on their hands while your doing all the work. Especially when their dog is the aggressor. Dot: That is so horrible I don't even want to contemplate that! When Nico was a pup I met a lady at PetSmart who had an oversized Rott (totally bred out of standards) who kept telling me her rott loves puppies. Hmm, to eat you mean? Well the breeder told me to be careful about situations like that, so I didn't put her down. I think I would have been commited if I saw my beloved dog killed before my eyes. Thanks for the reminder. 24. Dot: btw Congrats for kicking the other dog! Those little dogs I would be SOO protective over! OMG I don't know how bad I would be walking a little dog and having some big brute attack her! I was so protective over Nico as a puppy I was obnoxious. So GOOD FOR YOU. Too bad the dogs have to suffer when it's the owners who really need the kick in the butt. 25. When I had my old dog Maxx (died Sept 00) I had SUCH a problem walking him. He was a big dog (shepherd husky mix) but I couldn't walk him without being bolted by some damn dog in the neighborhood. I got so damn fed up with that. Now that I have a big rott, it's amazing how I don't have that problem. ;)--> Nico is really a nice dog, but the reputation precedes these dogs. People see us coming and they call there dogs in now. Well why the hell couldn't they do that when I had my other dog? "He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader.
