  1. Well, I'm going to be there tomorrow. I just need to figure how to fit my rottiegrrrl in the suitcase. I have a great plan so I won't get too toasted. I'm going to order a Bloody Mary to start, then Virgin, then Bloody, then Virgin, isn't that great idea? And I'll be looking for my GREASESPOT T-SHIRT!!!!!!!! I'll be the envy of all at the doggie park.
  2. OK, great inputs from people thanks a million! I am going to watch some of it tonight. Seems like Paul was a real hardball guy who didn't compromise the Word. Something that many people if not all of us have done at one time or another. Well, I guess I can only speak for myself so maybe something that I DO all the time. Maybe that's why he came off so a-holish to me about certain things. I don't know. I really am looking forward to seeing this though, especially after reading these reviews. Johnny Lingo, what a great song! Whoever wrote that really has some talent for improv!
  3. Aww that's cute. I actually like Larry King as an interviewer. I know he's gotten criticism for being too softball with celebrities, and being harsh with callers. "WHAT'S YOUR QUESTION CALLER!!!!" But I've come to appreciate him, especially after watching other not so good interviewers (hello Connie Chung) He's to the point, asks questions you want to know, trys to keep people from talking over each other, and trys to keep the show flowing. You can really tell the difference when that Holier than though Witch Nancy Grace subs. She just BLABS BLABS BLABS all over the place, interuppting everyone, going off on her own tangents, changing subjects all over the place, damn. She's annoying as hell.
  4. I understand DMill. Usually when that happens you it's time to buy a whole new VCR. Which is a pain in the butt. Thanks for the info socks. Did Jesus actually teach Paul in the desert though? I taped it last night but didn't watch it yet. I'm wondering if anyone who saw it could give their opinion on how accurate they thought it was.
  5. Shellon thanks a million for printing that. Now it really sounds interesting. Dots: LOL! Exactly my thinking!!!
  6. Awww, thank's Dot! That's sweet of you to say that. I'm going to ask part of my stupid question now. Aposlte Paul and Jesus didn't know each other right? Did apostle Paul go to the desert or something for a number of years before he started his "Christian" ministry? I seem to remember some teaching or something about how Jesus taught him in the desert. Am I screwed up on this? Anyone??? Anyone???
  7. I saw him last night on Larry King, and this is a special on the Jesus movement in the first century. It actually looks pretty interesting. He's careful to point out that he's doing it from a reporting point of view, and that different scholars/historians have different viewpoints. It really looks interesting so I just thought I'd throw it up here. It's on ABC tonight from 7pm-10pm so I'm probably going to tape it. There's a couple things I'm unclear about with Paul and I'd like to ask but I'd kind of feel stupid asking so maybe I'll ask tomorrow after the special.
  8. WHOA Good Work IMF! You got on top of this immediately! As did everyone who wrote in! (Dizzy inspired me to write a short note myself) What a team we are when the emergency arises! ;)--> Ignorance breeds stupidity and stupidity breeds TWI offshoots.
  9. GREAT LETTER Dizzy Dog! I hope we can get GS up there so if people are looking for info on the Way this will come up as one of the first! Ignorance breeds stupidity and stupidity breeds TWI offshoots.
  10. Thanks for posting the stuff that I couldn't get on my computer. And you're right, I guess we don't know that Bradshaw is involved. What gall TWI has. I wonder which one of the above they consider themselves to be? They sure as heck arn't a ministry. Never was, never will be. GRRRL POWER!
  11. I brought up the Broadcast news channel that features Terry Bradshaw's pick of the week. I can't display the website accurately because of my "current activeX controlls" whatever THAT means! Maybe someone else can look at this website and see if there is anything about The Way under his pick of the week stuff, I just can't tell. Here is the website. Broadcast News Channel GRRRL POWER!
  12. I'm going to tune in tomorrow at the same time to see if they run it again. It was like 6:55am. (CST) So I'm going to tune in around 6:45am. It have been a one time thing, or they may have run it before, who knows? I never paid attention to Terry Bradshaw's pick of the week before. This sure got my attention. GRRRL POWER!
  13. I understand what your saying Bob. That's what most people are looking for when they join a church. If Terry Bradshaw paid for 2 or 3 minutes of airtime like that he has to be involved to some extent. That's a boatload of money. GRRRL POWER!
  14. I did a search on Terry Bradshaw and The Way International and I got a tongue in cheek page from some website called Christian heritage online about what if the Way had run the Superbowl, and it started out like this. "Many years ago back in the former ministry, it had been rumored that two members of the Patriots had taken the class on Power For Abundant Living (PFAL). " So I guess maybe the rumors were true? I also put his name in Google news and found out he does suffer from clinical depression. None of this means anything of course but I'm just throwing this out there. I just can't believe I saw a commercial for the Way. And such a long one! I kept checking the channel to make sure it wasn't some weird station that maybe I accidently flipped on but no, it was MSNBC during a break in Imus in the Morning. GRRRL POWER!
  15. Interesting Bob! He must have a boatload of money to give to them though to pay for that airtime!! . GRRRL POWER!
  16. YES!!! HE'S THE SPORTS DUDE!! IS HE INVOLVED??? That was a 2 minute commercial at least! GRRRL POWER!
  17. They were talking about how they study about customs and figures of speech. I'm sorry to be doing this in bits and pieces. I'm still in shock. I was literally standing there with my mouth hanging open. GRRRL POWER!
  18. They were saying they were home fellowship based and showed these relaxed smiling people with there bibles open all sitting and "fellowshiping" with each other. GRRRL POWER!
  19. Then that Terry Bradshaw guy gave their web address and said for more information go to www. the way .org or whatever. I'm still in shock. IMUS IN THE MORNING??? GRRRL POWER!
  20. During the commercial it said "paid for by Bradshaw comm." whatever that means. GRRRL POWER!
  21. I'm NOT KIDDING. I'm sitting here watching MSNBC Imus in the morning, and getting a cup of coffee. All of a sudden I hear "The Way International" I sort of half turn, and there is a woman talking about bibical fellowship with the name Rosalie Rivenbark (or whatever) underneath her talking head. I saw Harvey Platag (or something like that) and John Rupp. Also some guy with some french last name. The commercial lasted like 2 minutes. Then some guy came on called Terry Bradshaw and said "this is Terry Bradshaw's pick of the week!" I can't believe it. GRRRL POWER!
  22. TWIsting scripture. LOL That's funny. I have no problem with calling on the name of the Lord in a dire situation. I remember a story about a woman who got attacked by her husband at divorce court (outside) He was after her with a gun and she yelled out "Lord, help me!" An off duty detective shot the guy dead. I just think that when people think they can throw the name of JC like they're some bad as$, it's terribly offensive to people who have lost their lives in acts of violence or viciousness, like they weren't spiritual or faithful enough to have been saved by God. Like if they were on those planes during 911 I supposed the terrorists would have fallen to their feet? It's the arrogance that really bugs me. GRRRL POWER!
  23. CKnapp I understand totally what your saying, and I agree. I seem to remember a part in ACTs (I think) where it didn't work too well either. Besides, even if it works on devil spirits, it doesn't mean the dog, or person, is possessed. It could just be a disturbed soul after you. And I have had a wayfer lady tell me that all she would have to do is say "In the Name of Jesus" if a dog was attacking her dog, because according to her "Every name must bow to that name." Well, I found out she was twisting that scripture terribly. Gotta be careful using these verses without understanding what situation they're talking about in the bible. Some people have a bad habit of doing that. They're great at quoting scripture, but they are totally taking it out of context. Thanks for posting that. (Don't mean to derail the thread) ...It's hard to be humble when you own a rottweiler... GRRRL POWER!
  24. I remember I heard some big ex-way dude gave some seminar a few years back (initials DS) said that if someone attacked him all he had to say was in the name of Jesus Christ drop dead and the guy would be dead. Funny how brave these guys are when there in a nice warm, safe place with a room full of people. GRRRL POWER!
