Happy belated Chats! btw, I must be greasespotting too much. Last night I had a dream where I was in a store trying to choose between two dolls to buy. One was a ChattyKathy doll (I kid you not) that played and danced to "Fox on the Run" by Sweet! The other one was a generic doll that played some disco song that was really catchy. Was this a prophetic dream of some sort? Are you going to be attacked by a fox? Are you running from something? I don't know. But why were you dancing to Fox on the Run? I think I better get back to work now.

Ms. Shroyer on Depression
RottieGrrrl replied to oenophile's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I had a lady (ex-wayfer) tell me I was possessed a few years ago. She had a good heart, but she could be a real pain in the butt. The fact is telling people they are possessed (even if they really think you are) isn't generally going to help people. You can start to go way off the deep end with that stuff. Man, she would be naming devil spirits (like she knew all the names) and I finally was like "hey, would you please knock it off? I want to be able to sleep at night." -
doo thanks for searching. I could give it a shot. Chas thanks for your help. I think I will just let it cool and crack it open. I will give this another shot this weekend! Thanks all for the help!

Kit: Chuck Norris read this thing himself on a tv talk show and had an absolute Blast with it! Chuck Norris

That sounds delicious. I was just thinking of Julia too. How funny.

Great points FC! I also just want to add I have seen the manifistations done better. I hesitate to add this because it was at a CES camp back in 2000. Schoenheit just let people pray the way they wanted to. If you felt inspired to SIT or just pray your own way, that was fine. He just set the setting, and waited and waited and let people go forth as they wanted. It was better then being called on by someone else who believes God is telling them who to call on. Yeah right.

You guys are all nuts. But I will give you a full report. Sorry about Lucas WD! I just have to get Nico to lose a few pounds so she doesn't injure herself. I have a feeling she's going to go absolutely nuts. Doggie heaven to her.

Great post bliss. Your post made me think of something too. People die for causes yes, even the bible says "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" but some people die for totally selfish causes. Like a certain fanatical sect that bombs up market places or flys into buildings because they are under the belief that they will get 17 virgins in Paradise. Or whatever.

Chas thanks. The tails are HOT though after cooking! How do you do this when they are piping hot? Do you have to wait a few minutes for them to cool down? And at the risk of sounding like a total dummy, how would one steam tails? I visited Maine twice, btw, and had my first lobsters there. I remember I just ripped the thing apart and ate it. I never thought I would have this much trouble with a tail! And yes, these are genuine Maine Lobs. The steak is from Chicago (I ordered lobs and steak) but the lobs are sent straight from Maine. I don't know what Langastino is!

exie you are hysterical. I believe a man/woman with a ministry/mission is someone who has a deep calling on their heart and follows it. No matter what somoene else thinks. Dots has a ministry with animals. That is pretty obvious to me, even though I never met the lady personally. She has a calling that God placed on her heart because she has the compassion and the fortitude to carry through with it. People may make fun of your calling. They fail to see the bigger picture. They think what you are doing is not important enough. Hey, didnt the Lord wash other peoples stinky feet? You wont see me doing that. No freaking way. But He was the Son of God. And He did it. Just random thoughts. But that's my drift. Lots of people like to claim they have a ministry, and call themselves Apostle Bob, Prophet Harry, whatever. Wear fancy robes and fancy titles, just like Jesus foretold. The same stuff was going on in His time. It always will. But your heart is the true ministry. Maybe giving 5 bucks to a bum on the street, writing people in prison, doing the stuff that Jesus taught us to do that blesses other peoples, the lowlieset in the eyes of the world.

doo: that's a great link. They do curl up too. I have metal skewers I can use though. But getting the meat out was the tricky part. When I order lobster tails at a restaurant, the meat just slides out. How the heck can you get the meat to slide out when you cook them yourself? I had to massacre the darn thing. It was really messy. Poor tail. Especially if you boil it. You can't open the tail like you do when you are baking. So do you let it cool and then open it? Geez. I think cooking a whole lob and just ripping it apart would be easier!

johniam thanx for the welcome! To be brutally honest with you, my dad could have gotten killed at any point in his sorry a** life and I don't think I would have cared. He didn't know how to love and he didn't want to know how to love. I had a lot of anger towards my Mom for being weak and staying with him. I know times were harder back then, but I've since talked to other women who left their abusive husbands for the sake of the kids. Even in the ancient old days when the Catholic Church ruled. They still did it. But I love my Mom dearly now. And I actually can feel some sort of love for my poor dad, who will have to answer to God someday. I can't help him out there. Now back to our regulary scheduled thread........

Oaks, all I can tell you, is that I know, that I know that I know, there is only one true God. And He is the father of our Lord Jesus. I don't know that the holy Quaran (or whatever) says "God is love" The bible says that though. I don't know that the Quaran (or whatever) says that salvations is by His grace, not our works. Lest any man should boast. It truly is not hard to figure out, what man has come up with, and what is true and real, and not of man. I won't compromise on that one bit. I need a savior to save my butt, and I don't care if saying so makes me unpopular in this life. I'm not budging one inch on that. I can't. My a** is at stake here.

Wow. I just read some of the reviews at IMDB. THIS COMMENT MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS..................................WARNING WARNING.............. It looks like a great movie, but I have a hard time with flicks that kill dogs. Otherwise I'd rent it in a flash. Looks like sort of a Charles Bronson revenge movie that I would love. LOL! Interesting side note. On one of the featured links on the afore mentioned video, they show "the Chuck" his-self reading off the list of trivia, and having a ball doing it. So he has a sense of humor himself!

(((((((((((exie)))))))))))))) thanks!

I don't know how to post a video, but the link is And Kit, Walker Texas Ranger was an extremely bloody and violent gore fest at it's peak. That's why it attracted nuts like me. Before the censors went along with public opinion and stopped it...much to my dismay
-
Kit I love ya. You have a great heart. But if ya can't make fun of "the chuck" who can you make fun of? I wish I could post that youtube song here. "the eyeeeeees of the ranger" OMG. It's so bad it's good. ' I don't know how to post videos though.

I bought these 5 ounce lobsters from livelob.com and they had a buy 4 get 4 free. I cooked 4, and My cooking experience was a freaking disaster. How do I cook these darn things? I got 4 left. I'm ready to throw them at the squirells.

Free Soul (cool name btw) thanks for sharing that. More thoughts on your post later, but damn. Thanks so much for sharing that.

Don't be sorry, waysider, I'm glad you got this topic rolling. It's a different spin and something I'm interested to see the responses on!

Hey, my Mom was married to my Dad till the day he died. He was a jerk (to use a nice name) The Catholic Church discouraged divorce. Somebody should have killed that a**hole, as far as I'm concerned. Staying married in a bad marriage doesnt' prove nothen, my freind. Did I say discouraged? They told her she was going to hell, and my dad's abuse was his right as a MAN. GRUNT! Yeah, this really happened.

Oh well, I see you gave me credit in the other thread. This takes on a WHOLE NEW DIMENSION! Omg, how many times have I heard this crap thrown at me. As long as we both "believe" (In the way stuff) our marriage will work. I saw people getting married off like there was some giant lottery for wives going on. How many of these marriages lasted? Yeah, I don't want kids, I like dogs, you are physically repulsing to the point where I would have to be totally wasted to want to sleep with you but Hey! We both took PFAL! Thank God my young mind rejected that crap. I guess I was high.
-
Hey you stole my thread idea! More thoughts on this later. Great thread btw.

Okay I don't think it's all bogus, and I do believe everyone has the basic capabilites of doing it. People tell me all the time that dogs can swim. Well. Actually, NO. They have the capabilitiy to swim, just like humans do. But they don't all take to water like fish. It took Nico a year to learn. Watching other dogs. Oakspear, I love ya, but I disagree that people cannot become more fluent in tounges. I believe God operates in the spiritual realm the same way he operates in the 5 sense realm. Practicing anything would make you better. A genius musical talent (Elton John comes to my pop music mind) still may be tagged as gifted from an early age. But he still would have to take lessons and practice to become good at what he does. I think the Wayfers (and perhaps other groups) problem is that this is what they hold so dear too, as proof that "God is working through them) that the whole dam purpose becomes not only meaningless, but just plain BAD. People go there, and they are like, wow, if I don't do this, I'm not going to be a part of this group. I'm not spiritual enough. So like me, they end up feeling like failiures, when in reality this is the LAST thing on God's mind that He knows I need to concern myself with! Whoa! More on this subject later. My fingers are tired of typing.

Apostles, Prophets and prophecy
RottieGrrrl replied to T-Bone's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
You just made me laugh so hard my dog looked at me funny. I think it was Oakspear? Who did a fantastic parody of a typical way man-i-fuh-stay-shun. I mean it was absolutely hystercial. He may not even remember it. If he reads this maybe he can bless us with another one. ;)
