  1. My theme song would have to be "Wild Thing" by the troggs. My sons think its very appropriate based on the crazy things I am always planning and doing,
  2. Dooj = Do you remember the charting partners, I was so glad I was never asked to be anyones. I thought knowing when a gals mucus was sticky and when it was stretchy was a little personal. I just didn't need to know when someone was ovulating. The Billings Method of Family planning was what it was called and it was taught by Mercedes Wilson. I remember Nancy Todd (9th) asking about all the Corps women that are ovulating on thier wedding night, what should they do? She answered with "abstain of course". I don't think that answer went over too well,
  3. Sorry to derail this thread for a moment but whenever the topic of birth control comes up I can only think of one thing. Heres an easy way to practice good birth control - Put a picture of LCM wearing his white jumpsuit from AOS over your bed with the following written on it "My Daddy Didn't Use A Condom". Trust me, this will stop any unwanted pregnancy.

I spend alot of time getting on and reading posts but never say anything. If I don't feel I have anything good to say I don't say anything at all. - Does that make me a lurker?
  5. Every ROA I ever attended I had the great jobs of either cleaning crew (Which meant toilet patrol) or Bless patrol. One year each 8 hour bowl patrol shift meant staying by your porta john of assignment and every 20 minutes or so going in and cleaning something. We weree also toldto be on the lookout because sick people hung out in the tiolets and it would be a great opportunity to find someone to minister to. By around day three there were plenty of sick people to minister to. - Dehydration, diahrea, vomitting, heat stroke, sun stroke, you name it it came out. Bless patrol meant if you were on the cool list you got a good location. Me, lacking in the overall pizazz to claim master sainthood had to settle for some obscure outpost in the back of the OSC or watching a cornfield so no undesirables could sneak in through the miles of corn. If only I knew then what I know today.
  6. When no one was looking I always walked on the grass. Even today I prefer to walk on the grass on not the sidewalk. I remember from the days I spent in Emporia where I HAD to stick to the sidewalks, came evening and I was on the grass, I guess they never figured out that the grass was for walking on and the sidewalks were for show.
  7. WHere did you get htis pic of Selah all growed up! I remember Eddie Fisher from the 70's in Norristown and haven't seen him since 1977. Is he still in? Out? Would you PM me and tell me anything you know about his whereabouts?
  8. After reading your synopsis of the article it seems like a nicely written very benign article. I didn't mind reading it over and once again being remiinded of how God wants the best for us. I agree that it is a rehashing of what they have been teaching for years but consider the audience.. I don't know of any scholars who stayed around the TWI all these years. I'm sure the research dept brain pool is a little on the shallow side. (Maybe as a result of the polluted Gene Pool) If the mag doesn't hurt anyone I'm sure that maybe it could help someone. By the other token the gal that wrote this article i'm assuming was a 12th corpse grad. If this is the best she can write after 22 years I think she needs to spend some more time reading the Bible and a little less time thinking about Ireland.
  9. Better Spelling Basics Building an Understanding of Vehicle Purchasing Early History of New Knoxville Ideas to Encourage Reading in Young Children Maintaining Reliable Transportation Making a Home-cleaning Schediule That Works for You Why in the world would you ever need a tape series to learn this stuff. Isn't this the kind of things Mom and Dad should have taught you? As to the "Maintaining Reliable Transportation" tape I think they could just say - Don't buy a car from a TWIer!
  10. I was just doing my "Knowles Breathing" while looking over my Christian family and SEX syllables. While doing this I realize that I was true Scum with a few frog turds thrown in for good measure. Anyone for a swim in the pond?
  11. I "had the privilage" of sleeping in the Corps chalet once during my interim year in Il. we had some kind of advance or something at HQ and where invited to sleep on the floor in the loft. I remember when king Craig came in we had to be quiet, couldn't use the bathroom because it was for the LCM family, yet we endured with full bladders and sore backs becasue we had the privilage of sleeping in such a beautiful and spiritual place - what a crock that was. I never "had the privilage" though of working on the chalet. some of my other Corps brothers and sisters did though - cheap and good labor. I just wasn't "good Enough".

Thanks Vickles and a happy day to you to. I am headed out today to the mountains for a week of climbing. I'm going to some cliffs I have never seen before so I am really looking forward to it. Sunshine, quiet and Rocks - Life is Good!
  13. My heart goes out to you at this time of such a loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers
  14. I'm sorry but I want you to get this mind picture when you are on a thread that discusses "High Country Caravan". Picture for a moment Harv on stage singing some ghastly C&W song while Craig is standing at his side wearing a ten gallon hat, smiling and expecting us all to like it. Then imagine having to watch this scene every week for a while for an hour or so. Oh. the brain washing! Tell me then then you don't develop the deepest, darkest feelings for C&W singers and equate C&W with Frog Turds Oh, by the way, I am a BANJO player.
  15. Not particularly but its never a bad idea..

Hello Too Grey Now - Glad you checked in. I've been kinda lurking in the background recently. reading the posts but not posting myself. Roof Belay huh? - Nice, good practical application of what we learned at BLEAD.. I keep hoping some 11th will find thier way back here and post a little bit. seems everyone wishes to remain anonymous.
  17. It's been 17 years since I left the TWI After being subjected to hearing country music for so long with the HCC, I can't think of anything lower than a country music singer. They rank right nect to Real estate agents and lawyers, not far off from Life Insurance Salesmen and Frog turds
  18. Good to say about Geer, Hmmm let me think.. He's a self centered ego driven person who looks out for no one but himself. Yea, thats about the best I have to say about him.
  19. Snickle Featherlips - GAWD thats just not fair, I really want a name like Steve McQueen or Clint Eastwood
  20. OK how about a couple of quick definitions for me like what is ROFLMAO? i think LOL is Laugh out Loud, please correct me if I am wrong

OK 11th corpsers, its been over 30 days since anyone has posted anything here. Are you all stuck in bed with Mono or something? Or maybe you broke a nail going thru your retemory cards and can't type. Or maybe you are too busy praying like we did whenever don wierwille started teaching In any case now is a good time to at least say you are still alive and breathing (or at least still breathing)
