  1. Ok, for me, one of the most interesting things that ever happened at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade happened one year while I was watching it live. There was a parade float for "Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends." The float paused to play/have the characters sing Harry Nilsson's song "Best Friend." Shortly into the song, a surprise musical guest (not known for this song) exited the float and began singing. Who was he?
  2. "Na, na-na-na, na-na-NA, na-na-na." "She's got loving like quicksand. Only took one touch of her hand. To blow my mind and I'm in so deep That I can't eat and I can't sleep." "I got a certain little girl, she's on my mind. No doubt about it, she looks so fine. She's the best girl that I ever had. Sometimes she's gonna make me feel so bad." "I thought I heard her calling my name now."
  3. the Mask Amy Yazbeck Robin Hood- Men in Tights
  4. Considering there's no question about rosa-lie getting free lawncare, boat care and housekeeping by twi staffers, I'm sure a little creative accounting would have covered for someone who needed vital services - who was so integral to twi's history. There was no question about twi not covering anything. In fact, when she was being ushered off-grounds to an elder-care facility, the news broke here. All over past and current twi membership, suddenly all heck broke loose. All anyone could talk about WAS how twi threw Mrs W out in the street, or things along those lines. Things got so out-of-control that twi contacted the GSC admin and insisted they be allowed to tell their side of the story, and have something posted by them ON THE GSC to settle this. I SWEAR I'm not making ANY of this up.
  5. It was called "Resurrection Sunday", and written that way on their calendars. Frankly, it makes sense to me even if it's commonly called "Easter", so long as no stupid games are played about that not being the same day. According to twi, Jesus died Wednesday afternoon, and was buried before sundown because Passover was arriving. Three days and three nights later was Saturday afternoon. When the women arrived Sunday morning, Jesus was already gone, having been resurrected and all that. Then again, that was in the 80s. I heard things got really crazy in the 90s, after the exodus of 4/5 of twi.
  6. To placate the judges, I'll go for the hat trick. The movie- original and remake- was "WEST SIDE STORY." The original actress was the talented RITA MORENO. The role was ANITA. Did I get the right actress and role?
  7. I hadn't glossed it over, it hadn't computed the first time I read it. It computed just fine now.
  8. "Na, na-na-na, na-na-NA, na-na-na." "She's got loving like quicksand. Only took one touch of her hand. To blow my mind and I'm in so deep That I can't eat and I can't sleep."
  9. The song was the omnipresent "My Heart Will Go On." The movie was Titanic, the role was Rose, played in the younger role by Kate Winslet. Gloria Stuart was the older Rose.
  10. Ok, next song. "Na, na-na-na, na-na-NA, na-na-na." (Saw this album sitting in the window of a news kiosk.)
  11. I'm annoyed I can't place this one.
  12. I can miss questions about Madonna because I'm not impressed. That goes double for Lady Gaga. BTW, one important lesson in politics (of which I was just reminded) is that "He who robs Peter to pay Paul can always count on the support of Paul."
  13. For 3, I think I know the movie and one actress, but not the other, but I should have the role, of course.
  14. I thought the 3-day rule applied to Triple Movie Links, or if no more clues were posted. That having been said, go ahead, George. Move us along. (Yes, Larry Storch did voiceover work.)
  15. Curtis Armstrong Brent Spiner Alan Tudyk Lennie Weinrib Ted Knight Frank Welker Kevin Michael Richardson Cameron Monaghan Roger Stoneburner Mustafa Bulut Nathan Dashwood Barry Keoghan Larry Storch Michael McKean Zack Galifianakis
  16. Let's see... how do I go from here to an answer without incredibly obvious names......
  17. Not Brainiac. Has he really had at least 4 live actors? BTW, I'm confident you've seen Cameron Monaghan in the role- but probably had no idea the actor's name was Cameron Monaghan. It was a recurring role in his case. (I know I saw him a lot in the role.)
  18. I know that quote well from chorus, not from airplay, but I won't question you about it airing much. "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina," off the "Evita" soundtrack, with MADONNA on vocals.
  19. *checks* Get out- that redhead in season one was played by MARISA TOMEI???
  20. Ok, I've got it now. This was "A DIFFERENT WORLD." On "the Cosby Show", Lisa Bonet's character went off to college- and that show aired right after "the Cosby Show." She went to an all-black college- except for one white girl who also went there. Both that actress and Lisa Bonet, IIRC, weren't there as of season 2 or possibly Lisa Bonet stuck it out until the end of season 2.
  21. Velveeta, Velveeta, Velveeta.... Please try our cheese- it's Velveeta.
  22. Would you believe we did this song in chorus, in junior high school?
  23. At least one might have been helpful. Those additions were all live actors.
