I knew Steinman wrote all of Meat Loaf's songs- Meat Loaf wanted "Bat Out of Hell 1" to have the credit of "Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman" but settled for "Meat Loaf (lyrics by Jim Steinman)". I knew he wrote the Celine Dion song, and all the songs on his own solo album (which tanked and was generally forgotten.) I never realized he wrote for other people, but this makes sense in hindsight.

He worked on as least 2 things you mentioned. AFAIK, he has appeared onscreen in exactly 2 movies, in exactly one role. But he worked on at least 1 other movie you mentioned, just not on-camera.

As you pointed out, Ron Perlman's been in a number of roles. This guy has been in exactly one on-screen role, and that role is incredibly famous. Ron Perlman also does not have a reputation as having taught Hollywood to fence- otherwise he'd have a sword in his hand in his roles!

Maybe a temporary redirect to a static message saying the board is being updated would help, also.

Although both are factually correct, he was also involved in a few movies that were much, MUCH more famous than "Highlander." That's when he appeared on camera. But if you don't know that, there's no way you're going to identify his scenes in actual films in which he appeared. (In hindsight, this will all be rather obvious- who he played, why you don't know it's him, etc.) You've definitely seen him in that role.

George pointed out the lettuce comment was a turtle who lost to the lettuce. Makes sense, but I was thinking of cute cat and dog videos and how it wouldn't be a shock to see a cat losing a fight with a head of lettuce or something. It led me to the right movie, so whatev'.

It's not Rod Stewart, but I thought it was, for a moment. Also sounds a bit like Meat Loaf, but I should recognize all his hits, at least. Maybe I can run this past Mrs Wolf.

There have been a number of accomplished swordsmen- and talented amateur swordsmen- in Hollywood history. A great many of the amateurs have ONE MAN to thank- it's said he taught Hollywood to fence. With all the teaching he's done, he's rarely on camera- in fact, when he was most visibly on camera, dueling, nobody has any idea it's him. It's not a surprise he's a former Olympic gold medalist. Who is this man? For bragging rights, who did he play on-camera?
