  1. No. It actually is a famous quote, and people know it who've never seen the movie. (I've never seen it, and I know the quote.)
  2. Dr Holly Marten Charlie Bradbury Codex/Cyd Sherman "Red"/ Virginia Sullivan Heidi Gefsky Ms. Angela Celeste Middleton Poppy Kline Dr Morgan Henriette Hudson June Marie Jacobs Eloise Hutchinson Kinga Forrester Grendel Mary Jane Watson Ghoulia Yelps Captain of Emon Amanda Wood Ginger Root Dr Tangerine
  3. "In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women."
  4. "Stop walking down my street." "Who did you expect to meet?" "Whatever you're looking for." "I've given up, stop! I've given up, stop! Ah, ah, ah, ooh-ooh. I've given up, stop, on waiting any longer. I've given up, on this love getting stronger." "I don't feel you any more. You darken my door. Whatever you're looking for." "I've given up, stop! I've given up, stop! Ah, ah, ah, ooh-ooh. I've given up, stop, you tangle my emotions. I've given up, honey please, admit it's over." I told Wordpup that I picture The Mad Hatter as looking like a certain musician. The video for this song is why, and I had to show him. I think he pictures him the same way now.
  5. A second-baseman.... not a pitcher or whatever..... what's a second-baseman especially good for.... If I can try 2 wild guesses together..... How about "Most fly balls caught" or "Most runners tagged out on second"?????
  6. Less my style, but possibly that's why I remember the lyrics. This was by "that famous lyricist", Bob Dylan. IIRC, the song's title is "LAY LADY LAY."
  7. I don't know, but I'm thankful. I know the song, but could not recognize it by that line. And I remember it as a David Bowie song.
  8. Strictly speaking, I have. I had no idea it was still on the air. I thought it went off the air over a decade ago. I know it's the show of that bald guy that worked behind-the-scenes on "Seinfeld." That's pretty much all I know about it, unless I remember his name, say. Never seen an episode.
  9. Often, I would say. However, since Oldiesman posts here, and he's currently a Roman Catholic, and this is not an RCC survivor's messageboard, there's no compelling reason to take shots at his denomination. Let's consider posting with a little kindness, instead. (I'm not in complete accord with the RCC myself, but I don't have to just load the old shotgun whenever they're mentioned. Even if I am EX-RCC.)
  10. That's definitely Trivia. It should also be on "QI" because it's trivia that's Quite Interesting.
  11. "Jefe, what IS a "plethora"?" "Why, El Guapo?" "Well, you just told me that I had a plethora, and I would just like to know if you know what it means to have a plethora. I would not like to think that someone would tell someone else he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has no idea what it means to have a plethora." "El Guapo, I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education, but could it be that once again, you are angry at something else, and are looking to take it out on me?" --------------------------------\ This is a memorable exchange from "THE THREE AMIGOS!"
  12. .............................................Oh, yes, El Guapo. You have 'a plethora'."
  13. UNscientific? I was going to ask if they were monitoring the growth of plants. However, I'm going to take a different wild guess. "They were trying to see if a watched pot never boils, and if there was a time difference if a pot was watched remotely versus someone watching it from the same room."
  14. I may not have heard of this show.
  15. Ok, since that one was a bust, new song, same artist. ================================= "Stop walking down my street." "Who did you expect to meet?" "Whatever you're looking for."

  19. Star Trek Generations Alan Ruck Ferric Buehler's Day Off
  20. "Well it was nearly summer, we sat on your roof. Yeah, we smoked cigarettes and we stared at the moon. And I showed you stars you never could see. No, it couldn't been that easy to forget about me." "Baby, time meant nothin', anything seemed real Yeah, you could kiss like fire and you made me feel Like every word you said was meant to be No, it couldn't been that easy to forget about me." "Keep a little bit of pride. They get lucky sometimes." "Two cars park on the overpass. Rocks hit the water like broken glass. I shoulda known right then it was too good to last. God, it's such a drag when you're living in the past."
  21. The scientific ones are good for observing nature in real time. Were they trying to document the lives of a pack of wolves?
  22. Holly Marten Charlie Bradbury Codex "Red" (Believe it or not, that last is a title role. I'd get this one from that but especially from "Codex.")
  23. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Smells like...victory!"
