If I am correct, these 2 actors I'm thinking of were both in the movie called.., *checks* oh, good, I was right all around. The Hard Way Michael J. Fox Scavenger Hunt Back to the Future
-
I should see more than 30 seconds of that movie one of these years. Thinking of a new one.....
-
Movie? This was "Purple Rain," of course.
-
You've got it- Buddy Holly's "Not Fade Away." I was listening to the Rolling Stone's cover when I was posting.

"My love bigger than a Cadillac. I'll try to show it when you're driving me back. Your love for me got to be real. A-for you to know just how I feel." "I'm a-gonna tell you how it's gonna be You're gonna give your love to me. I want to love you night and day, You know my loving [TITLE]".

In this case, I don't know if she can, but I doubt she's trying. I think she's trying to live off an intact twi while there's one.
-
vpw "sold" the family farm to twi to both be able to pocket the money and to still have the use of the farm. In the short-term, it served him, and in the long term, eventually, they'd lose the farm when twi came crashing down completely. However, he was able to "run out the clock" and get what he wanted while he was alive. Once he was dead, what did he care who lost what? rfr is "running out the clock." She has to keep the organization alive both on paper and enough of it in physical existence that she can keep using the assets of twi. Remember, she basically gets slave labor- a cook, a maid, etc. all for nothing on top of any salary she gets. So, as long as twi exists, she gets all of that. She's hoping its slow fade into oblivion slides into oblivion more slowly than she does- and that she won't be dumped and cut out like Mrs W and so many others were. If she had a conscience, what she's doing would bother her. Those of us who believe in a God can take some comfort that she's not fooling Him even if she's fooling the IRS.

My honey, my baby, don't put my love upon no shelf! She said, "Don't hand me no lines, and Keep Your Hands to Yourself." As you mentioned, also George Thorogood. Next song. "My love bigger than a Cadillac. I'll try to show it when you're driving me back. Your love for me got to be real. A-for you to know just how I feel."

Movie bromance? Let's see.... Must be a Kevin Smith movie. How about "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back to the Future?" *applauds as instructed*
-
Bravo, T-Bone.
-
Next song. "Yeah, the other night I laid sleeping And I woke from a terrible dream. So I called up my pal Jack Daniels And his partner Jimmy Beam."
-
I think this is "Taking it to the Streets," by "the Doobie Brothers.
-
That's the movie. But I thought your clue was a stretch-I didn't see the connection and I knew the answer. But it's your turn.

In this 1941 (2005) Terry Gilliam movie,a pair of brothers were conjoined twins, separated as children but still linked in some way. They traveled and con people, performing bogus exorcisms in French-occupiued Germany in the 19th century. When they suddenly encounter the real deal, it takes all their swashbuckling skill and their courage to face the curse. Starred Douglas Fairbanks, Matt Damon, and Heath Ledger.
-
BTW, that may have been the real name of the song, but John Cougar Mellencamp titled it "Pink Houses." You know, when I was in college, I knew somebody who smoked these guys....
-
So, no, without any exorcisms or curses, this wasn't a reference to Karamazov. (Unless there's a version of the movie that REALLY deviated from the book....)

Here's a movie we've never done! A pair of brothers were conjoined twins, separated as children but still linked in some way. They travel and con people, performing bogus exorcisms. When they suddenly encounter the real deal, it takes all their swashbuckling skill and their courage to face the curse.

Odd, since I've heard "Homeward Bound" earlier this year and don't think I've heard "I Feel for You" this DECADE. *looks it up on wikipedia* Interesting. The song version's credited to Shaka Khan with Mellie Mel of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. Hw/oB was on the right track, because the Pointer Sisters did record a version of this on the same album AS "I'm So Excited." (Also the album's name.) However, I actually got the title as well as an artist, so I got the nod. According to Wikipedia, it was originally a Prince song, and the Pointer Sisters and Shaka Khan did the only known covers. Ok, next song. "Well, there's people and more people. What do they know, know, know? Go to work in some high rise And vacation down at the Gulf of Mexico."

I keep confusing "Man on Fire" with "John Q" and think of only 1 movie with Denzel Washington. Since you didn't describe "John Q", I led myself way off course on that one. Ok, what show was it that featured Topo Gigio? *thinks* Aha! Old Horse-Face! So this is "The Mister Ed Sullivan Show."
-
?????? Ah, is this "I Feel For You," With Chaka Khan and some rapper dude?
-
That wasn't it? How about "The Six Million Dollar Man from UNCLE"?
-
The movie's title either has to start with "Man" or end with "6." And it's obviously not "Big Hero 6."
-
Oops. Well, that's it. Yeah, but that doesn't mean every song he does has NYC links automatically...
-
AFAIK, this song has no connections with NYC, neither by lyrics nor concept. (If there's any connection at all, it's not an obvious one because I don't see it.)
