Speaking for myself, I think it's wonderful you're so blessed locally. For now. Based on the usual pattern, I'm "waiting for the other shoe to drop." In twi/extwi, it's COMMON for a local group to start out all blessed, then s-l-o-w-l-y (or not so gradually) change in small steps as more control is passed up the ladder, until the person wakes up one morning and finds they're a money-generating cog in a profit-driven machine. So, I'd keep an eye out for the first few steps.

I'd enjoy if I had a clue to what I was supposed to enjoy. My security's so high, hotlinking doesn't display. I have a notice to "enjoy" and I can bring up a placeholder for a video. If you include a normal link with it, I can see what you wanted to link. Was it the original song?

The answer isn't "Rocket Man." and since my security means YT doesn't run automatically here (nor do I want it to), all I see is a button indicating there's a video, and your writing.

Times like this, evaluating a repeating pattern of "sincerity" and later broken promises, I am reminded of a song (a tango) by Celedonio Nicanor Compagnucci, "You've Cheated Me Again," ("Argentine tango, the sad song of the abandoned man.") "You've made a thousand promises of a future without fetter. That everything would change, that our love would be better. You made great plans, that any other love would be absurd. Ours would be the best ever heard, this time you'd keep your word. A word sticks in my throat: 'Why? Why?' If nothing has changed, Why did I give you my vote?"

We keep seeing this pattern repeat, but THIS TIME the people who left are sincere and did it for godly reasons....

That wasn't hateful at all. You must not get around messageboards that much! For the internet, that was nothing, and for conversation, it wouldn't have been considered "hateful", It's also not "presumptuous" at all because these people's lives are well-known at the general level- and lots of people here knew them personally, so that's not all guesswork but conclusions drawn from the evidence at hand. We don't know what's in their minds and hearts- but we know what they did, when they did it, what they didn't do, and when they chose to refrain from speaking or acting. Based on that, you know what matters to a person. If there's some hidden reflection that didn't impact their actions, it didn't matter MUCH to them, and so I'm ok not counting it as significant. We don't have "an ax to grind"- but we can call people on what we see them say and do. And if you think this is "spewing venom", you need to get around a bit more. Heck, we can show you some posts from some vpw defenders and apologists, archived around here. The difference is dramatic.

I don't doubt you one bit about this local group. I don't doubt DWBH and others about the R&R originators, either. If you're seeing great blessings locally and deliverance and healings or something (or some combinations along those lines), then that's what you're experiencing, and small wonder you'd stick around for that. On the other hand, there's some people who saw lots of blessings locally- until HQ tightened the reins some time later. That story's repeated itself in twi over, and over, and over. If I were directly connected with any splinter group, regardless of the blessings, I'd keep an eye out for the temperature knob for the stove. Sooner or later, someone is going to try to raise the temperature on the pot, and figure that- if it's done slowly enough- the frog won't notice the difference and won't jump clear, and will roast in the pot instead. These people had decades of training and experience in just that, and were fine with it for decades. So, for me, the questions are "What will they do?" and "When will they do it?" not "Will they do something?" To me, it's obvious that forming R&R was a step IN doing something FOR THEM. I'm waiting to hear about their other steps

I agree heartily- but need to add something. There's a "false bifurcation" in effect. There's people who keep claiming one or another POLAR OPPOSITES and using the other position as a "strawman". That is, since one extreme is ridiculous to believe, I must accept the other extreme is true. NO. Ok, righteousness never came from the law because it couldn't- and our conduct could never match up- as in humanity's conduct in any century, any country. So, "incorruptible seed" that was a "gift of eternal life." Can't suffer corruption (rot), can't end (eternal), can't be earned (gift). Ok, that's clear enough, as far as it goes. Then there's people like vpw who say "since I can't lose eternal life, I can sin all I want, and if I cover my tracks on Earth, I'm golden because God won't punish me for it." Ah, no. There's lots of notices for us to TRY to conduct ourselves as best we can- with clear instructions on how to do that. We're expected to put forth an honest effort, and not just do whatever because we're saved. I'm confident God has it covered- lesser rewards for those who did little, and actual penalties for those who did absolutely nothing or did poorly because they counted on unkillable salvation to insulate them from the consequences of their freewill actions. Come on. If I can come up with systems that cover it (and I can), I'm sure God Almighty can-and did- come up with specifics that are effective and sufficient. So, I reject "do as you fool well please" because it's unBiblical. I reject an ending to "eternal" , a corrupting of "incorruptible" again, because it's unBiblical. As far as I'm concerned, most of what I've heard on the subject, from a lot of sides, is all either rephrasing of that, or just posturing.

That comes from thinking that vpw's teachings=Bible, and Blue Book=really critical Bible. From there, it's a short hop to "the answer to all problems lies in rereading the Blue Book enough times." That's how they got there. Small steps with small sips of the Kool-Aid at any one time.
