  1. Someone described "Human Target" as a cross between those 2 shows because Quantum Leap had him dropped into people's lives to help them, and he had to function as them, and "Mission Impossible" had the realistic disguises.
  2. Ok, for curiosity, here's the answers. George got A & B as iZombie and Preacher. C was "the Human Target"- Chris Chance impersonates people who are targets. D was "Swamp Thing." E was "Birds of Prey", a one-season show with Oracle/Barbara Gordon, Huntress (daughter of Batman and Catwoman), and Canary (Dinah.) George's turn.
  3. I really only ever hear from anybody when they post here. I don't know if anyone here is in touch with him. If he has a Facebook acct he's updating and someone knows it, maybe they can answer that. But I'm not there and don't know who is.
  4. Shrek Mike Myers Austin Powers 3- Goldmember
  5. https://arrow.fandom.com/wiki/Elseworlds The Arrowverse wiki agrees with you.
  6. Thanks for the kudos on the post, but I posted that, not Raf. I definitely still rock (the other day, someone asked me about what Sex Pistols songs I liked,), but I don't know what Raf's listening to these days. I could see how someone who met us in passing might mistake us for each other, but our POSTING STYLES resemble each other, as well? That's interesting.

The lawyers say to add those. My favourite warning was on a packet of peanuts. "Warning: Contains Peanuts." Yeah, I hope so, Sparky.
  8. We're slightly behind on "Flash" but can catch up. I'm catching up on "Arrow" during the week. ("Supergirl", I'm not caring that much. I'll catch up when the season ends or something.) In the Arrowverse, there were said to be 52 universes with easy access to each other, that were known of....which wasn't counting "Earth-X" which was denied a number. So, other Earths are harder to reach if they are found. (Like a place with no direct flights from you to them, but you can take a ship there or a connecting flight.) In the comics, that information keeps changing without warning. There are infinite Earths. No, there are 5- which were merged into one unified Earth. No, wait, Hypertime has alternate Earths. "Elseworlds" are imagined out-of-continuity. Oh, wait- here's that Earth now. Now Hypertime was merged into one Earth again- no, now into exactly 52 Earths. Don't expect that to last, either. DC keeps putting infinite Earths back no matter what they say. Heck, they let the fans vote for Jason Todd to die, and his death had great significance...until one writer was allowed to bring him back, SENSELESSLY. (And not as in "Earth-Tomato's Jason Todd has traveled here and decided to stay" or something.) Jimmy Olsen married Supergirl. "Don't forget-this is an imaginary story, which may or may not happen." "Of course it's an imaginary story, aren't they all?" (I think Elliot S! Maggin said that one.) Did they use the word "Elseworlds" in the show, or was that your explanation?
  9. Enchanted Timothy Spall Sweeney Todd-the Demon Barber of Fleet Street
  10. George posted the correct answer first. (THINKING about it doesn't count.) George is up.
  11. A) A coroner helps the police by claiming to be a psychic. She's actually getting the impressions by eating the brains of the murder victims. This is a self-preservation action for herself, because if she stops, horrible consequences would follow. A doctor continues to try to find a cure for her affliction. B) A small-town pastor suddenly discovers the power to convince people to do as he says. C) This show was described as a cross between the old "Mission Impossible" and "Quantum Leap", both based on what the titular character does- since "Quantum Leap" had someone just dropped into people's lived to help them, and the other show had Martin Landau's character doing something specific and memorable. D) The opening narration included the following: "I was once a man. I know the evil men do. Do not bring your evil here, I warn you. " [If he's not a man now, what is he now? Where is 'here'?] E) Of the principal characters, one was a teacher in a wheelchair, one was present when her mother was killed, one was Dinah Redmond-who seems to have precognitive dreams. [TThey were adapted from pre-existing characters, some changes were made- like their names, and occupations.] ===================== Ok, George got the round, but just for giggles, seeing if anyone, including George, can name the rest.
  12. A) was "iZombie." (Correct answer with a different spelling.) The protagonist "survived" a zombie bite. If she eats brains, she doesn't degenerate into a feral cannibal. B) was "Preacher." Hard to describe that show without giving away anything. C) was NOT "Journeyman." (What's "Journeyman?") Want to take a stab at the others, or just claim your victory for the correct answer (x2) and move on?
  13. Ok, some obscure TV shows. Identify one to take the round, more for bragging rights. C) This show was described as a cross between the old "Mission Impossible" and "Quantum Leap", both based on what the titular character does. D) The opening narration included the following: "I was once a man. I know the evil men do. Do not bring your evil here, I warn you. " E) Of the principal characters, one was a teacher in a wheelchair, one was present when her mother was killed, one was Dinah Redmond-who seems to have precognitive dreams.
  14. Tequila's a Mexican export. They drink that way north of here. It's enough work trying to get Puerto Rican rum outside of a duty-free shop here, let alone Tequila.
  15. Sean Bean...put a sword in his hand, and his character dies off. I know amazingly little about this show, despite having a copy of the first book sitting, waiting patiently to be read. (When I have no interest in a series, it's easy to find here.) The results of an online test said I would mostly likely be in "House Stark." As a long-time Iron Man fan, I thought that was amusing. According to Penny, the show has "dragons, and people doing it", which is why she claims she watches it. (Big Bang Theory.)
  16. Wasn't sure which one had Rose F's song in it. I thought it was TWO, once I started typing. Apparently not, since you checked before posting the clue.
  17. So, the Howard was neither Stark nor "The Duck." How about "Howard's End"?

    Hello!

There's nobody here but us chickens! In other news, come join us in the games further down the page.
  19. Ok, let's look at the clues, and see if we get anywhere. We have a show with multiple seasons, that got a lot of prime-time Emmys. So, it's well-known and airs/aired prime-time, possibly on a network channel. (No mention of an Ace Award, which would suggest cable, but that doesn't mean it ISN'T cable.) Principal characters keep dying. It's recent enough that Peter Jackson's :LotR movies predated it- otherwise there'd be no prop of Glamdring. So, from this, I'm going to take a guess and go with "GAME OF THRONES."
  20. I'm trying to figure out which "Howard" this is. If this was Howard Stark, this was probably "Captain America- First Avenger."
  21. i'm pretty sure. I should have checked in sooner. Actually, was it "Inspector Gadget TWO"?
  22. SH was bothering Watson, who was planning on getting married- and thus would move out, meaning SH would need to pay the full rent. Irene Adler was between husbands.
  23. FYI- the scene where the guys come to steal the evidence, and call in the big French dude, 'Dredger", gave us these exchanges between SH and Dredger. Dredger was not in a hurry, and told SH to run.
  24. The movie was "Sherlock Holmes", (the Guy Ritchie version with SH and Dr W as action heroes.) You said the answer, so I count that.
