Having confirmed RW was in A.I., this is STILL where the next turn begins.
-
Why, then, is it listed on ROBIN WILLIAMS' Imdb page? https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000245/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 2001, A.I. Dr Know (voice) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0212720/?ref_=ttfc_fc_tt Hey, there's a "FULL CAST" button! Let's click on it! Wow. Ben Kingsley, Meryl Streep, and ROBIN WILLIAMS. Therefore, the previous link was not invalid, and is in effect. So, we leave off with Robin Williams.

The band that did this song was once promoted as "Dodge City" while they were trying to get a record deal, because somebody thought their regular name wouldn't convince the record companies. I once got them a little confused with Jethro Tull due to some record art resembling the latter group's style.

(When that show first aired, the movie in question was in its 2nd -IIRC- week in the theaters! We'd seen it and knew the ending, but some people had not!) Ok, let's see. The kid was in something else, as a kid robot, who else was in it? Haley Joel Osment A.I. Robin Williams (I'm pretty sure RW was in that robot movie AND the other one. If I'm wrong, I'm terribly sorry.)

I have a few guesses but would have no idea which shows the names would connect to. Can I post one for all of them. or both for all, or do I have to try one for one and the other for that one or another, or what?

Ever see a non-splinter Christian pull that sort of thing? That was vpw- specific. Stand when I enter the room, play "Hail to the Chief" when I come in to teach (he did that for a time), put together a nice, untraceable cash gift for me when I visit, buy me several bottles of booze for my visit, etc.

Another possibility being, of course, he wasn't nearly as successful as he was putting forth. Either is possible, and it's not like we care, anyway, He'll be forgotten soon enough.

(That particular HP movie included a number of people who weren't in the others, but if you're not sure, yes, I think he was in all of them.) ("Hecubus, have you seen that movie "Presumed Innocent" yet?" "Yes, I have. *gives away the ending*" "I haven't seen the movie yet! Evil!") Presumed Innocent Raul Julia Addams Family Values

(Once you posted, my subconscious decided to remember who was IN those movies, so we worked together on that round.) Austin Powers- International Man of Mystery Rob Lowe The Outsiders (that should open the field up a bit...)

Since George knew C was "Beat Bobby Flay", we'll cover the others. A) GUY'S GROCERY GAMES. ("Games in the Supermarket with Guy".) B) CUTTHROAT KITCHEN. ("Sabotage in the Kitchen.") C) BEAT BOBBY FLAY (George got this, "Defeat Bobby Flay") D) FOOD FIGHTERS ("Chef vs Novice") E) KNIFEFIGHT ("Knifefight")

I was about to guess "Halloween" until I read a bit slower. Still working on this one...

("No song can be a hit if it's more than 3 1/2 minutes long. Make them 3:05 or less."- some idiot.)
-
That is correct! Now that you have it, care to name any of the others for bragging rights or curiosity?
-
Ok, trying again from here, we have: Michael Winslow Spaceballs John Candy

He asked, Raf, so I wouldn't say not to answer him. I will ask for a bit of tact in how you phrase it, however. We can all play nice even when disagreeing, I think.

Another round of cooking shows. Name any to take the round. A) 4 chefs compete in a supermarket- first to find their ingredients, subject to whatever challenges this round deals with- then they cook in the remaining time for a panel of judges. The weakest dish is eliminated, and the final round is the last chef standing- running around the supermarket, trying to fill a list in a few minutes, with cash for each item he fills. B) 4 chefs compete in a kitchen. First, they are handed a stack of real cash. Then, Round 1 begins. They are told what they will cook and how long they will have to cook it. Then they dash to the pantry to collect their ingredients in 60 seconds. Then they bid on auctioned sabotages to inflict on each other. Each round, the weakest cook is eliminated until there's one winner- who only wins the cash he has remaining after he spent whatever he spent on sabotages. (Any eliminated chef must surrender the remaining cash on his way out.) C) Round 1 has 2 chefs go head-to-head to beat each other. The winner goes on to Round 2- and challenges a specific professional chef at cooking the challenger's best dish. D) A home cook prepares about 1/2 a dozen recipes, and challenges the show. In each round, a professional chef comes out and spends a few seconds talking about what they cook best. The challenger then selects which item off their list they will challenge the chef to cook. Both cook, and a panel of 5 normal diners tries both. Best 3 out of 5 wins the round. The home cook, if he loses, doesn't win anything that round, but wins increasing totals of money based on which round it is- with the final round being a doubling of what was won so far. This is especially hard since there's only the last dish remaining to challenge them on. E) This game sounds like an illegal street brawl. 2 challengers show up, and must work with whatever ingredient is mandatory. The winner wins the show, and an odd "trophy" that helps explain the name of the show. This one is 1/2 an hour, which is very short for a cooking challenge show.

Since it's a figure of speech, passive voice switched for the active voice (permission stated as action), you should find it in both "Figures of Speech Used in the Bible" and the Companion Bible. IIRC, I've read it in both, but FOSUinB should have it explained while TCB should just mention it like everything else.

At one point, vpw made a big deal about supposedly doing that. He used to say "God set His Word above His Name." Someone showed him the verse didn't say "set". it said "magnified." So, the best example vpw could find- and he announced it- was switching "set" for "magnified". If he couldn't find a real example of himself changing anything if he was caught making an error, I'll take it as a given he never corrected any significant error (just the thing I mentioned.)

If you were a '"member", they would have responsibilities back to you. Since you "weren't a member", they felt free to treat you as DISPOSABLE.

*sighs* No, what he wrote in his blog is straight out of BULLINGER, almost verbatim. vpw isn't the only one who can read Bullinger and spit back what he wrote. At least one page shows a healthy respect for Bullinger, and their explanation about who they are sounds NOTHING like ex-twi. So, Bullinger is verbatim, but twi is not.

GSC is short for GreaseSpot Cafe, where you're reading this right now. It's a messageboard that tells the other sides of the story of the way international (twi) and its spinoffs/"splinters". People come here to learn about those, to socialize with other twi survivors, and so on. Its name comes from lcm's (loy craig martindale) insistence that anyone leaving twi would be overwhelmed by devils upon their exit, becoming a "GREASESPOT BY MIDNIGHT." Well, the survivors came here. Midnight has come and gone. We've gone on with our lives, and lcm was removed from twi. So, the name is "tongue-in-cheek."

I apparently neglected to ask Mrs Wolf if she ever watched the series. Yes, she did, and no, she won't. Good thing we keep finding other shows to watch together.

Yeah, George, I was wondering if it was interesting enough to be watchable with a family without it qualifying as a punishment for anyone. I guess that's a matter of opinion.
