Benedict Cumberbatch got some fame as Sherlock in "SHERLOCK." Martin Freeman played his Watson. Oddly, they were also in at least 1 movie together. The photo would not help you with BC because you didn't see him in these movies.

THIS was "Dr Strange". wasn't it?

Was anyone else sure that the Paragon of Truth was going to be Jonathan? We were going into the future, and LL and Clark were both headed there. I thought that was a blinking neon sign. Planning to use an LP was something I didn't see coming. Doing that with input from Nyssa and especially JC made a LOT of sense. Mrs Wolf said she'd only trust Malcolm's input on this, but JC's input was unavoidable. I just expected bringing in another Ollie, since we had at least 1 spare. Or using the book. We both appreciated the "Leonard" appearance. BL reciting his motto was a special moment. Ways for Barry to survive? We had at least 3 lined up- they used the least-interesting option, IMHO. (I suggested a time-double like Thawne used to do, Mrs Wolf suggested barry merge into the Speed Force, then just emerge later.) I also pointed out that- with 2 more vials of Velocity 10 in Cisco's safe- it's possible that wasn't even a speedster who was in the red suit at that moment. I totally did NOT predict Jim C's appearance, but his role in the comic was vital, of course. Those people who complained that Hal Jordan became The Spectre in comics are no doubt complaining all over again. The cannon in "Flash" was a surprising carryover from the comic series. I'm surprised the Psycho-Pirate wasn't invited to this party. We'll have to wait and see about what happens to close out the story, of course. I don't think they can truly do justice to the comic, but I'm a LOT more impressed so far than I was at "Invasion!" Here's hoping they can finish strong.

It reminded me of Gog in "the Kingdom", who kept traveling through time, and killing Superman a day earlier, progressively, and really tearing up the timestream. TW had that hatchet, and was in shape. I expected Lex to get his clock cleaned. I managed to keep my mouth shut. Mrs Wolf saw Ray Palmer appear, and concluded that it would be impossible to see BR as Superman. (Instead, it meant the actor was on board...) I'm chagrined that they tried so hard to include all media versions of DC, and yet there's no Green Fury nor Olympian from "Powerless." (Not even a throwaway line.) From the time we saw Nash at that door, we tried to interpret the 7 symbols. We concluded they were the 7 Paragons, and tried to match who looked like what. The extreme right one was so obviously an arrowhead. She correctly correlated Nash opening the door with freeing the AM. (The previous destruction of Earth-2 threw me off the trail.) We made some guesses as to who would be what. Mrs Wolf actually predicted Barry would be the Paragon of Love with no help from me- but I agreed with her as soon as she said it. She also placed the AM's lair in the correct location, but wasn't sure which Earth it was on. Jonathan's pod was a call-back to both Kal's pod once, and Alexander Luthor's pod in CoIE #1. I was sure we'd lose Supes and Lois immediately, and was pleased to be proven wrong (But I loved the callback to CoIE 12 and Lois.)

Tom Welling. We got a bit of "Superman II", a bit of "Smallville" there. Kevin Conroy- yes, nice to see him. We got some "Kingdom Come" there, and some "Armageddon 2001" with Batman actually wielding K. With "Bat of the Future", I immediately expected that to be Kingdom Come/ the Kingdom's "Ibn al Xuffasch", or Brotherhood of the Bat's "Tallant". or Damian W, to be the guy. By the end of the scene, I completely expected Fox to be "Batwing."

Earth-66. *snicker* Nice touch.

Ok, saw all 3 parts, plus the end of Black Lightning. We haven't done a full, proper post-mortem on it. Yes, I LOVED the Burt Ward (with Ace, the Bat-Hound????) cameo, and the Robert Wuhl was just perfect- if anything, I liked it BETTER.

Hello and welcome. PTSD is not uncommon among twi survivors, especially people who grew up in twi who now have to learn how to live all over again. As you no doubt know, differences of opinion are ENCOURAGED here, not simply allowed. So, you'll find posters on opposite sides of most discussions (at least when it's busy here.) That having been said, it's (obviously?) true that religious beliefs here run the gamut, ranging occasionally between "shut down all churches worldwide and arrest all the clergy" (a slight exaggeration, but it's sounded like that here at times) to "Yes, wierwille the plagiarizing rapist did indeed speak directly for God, since God Almighty appointed him out of all the possible spokespeople for 2000 years, and he where he walked, the earth shook." (That was NOT an exaggeration.) So, if you want to hear why atheism is your only sensible course from here on, we've people who can explain that one to you. And, if you want to hear that God Almighty still Loves and answers prayers in spite of evil people, we've people who can explain that one to you as well. No doubt they'll all introduce themselves shortly. Enjoy your stay here. :)

Sadly, both late and incorrect. It was Bryan Adams' "THE KIDS WANNA ROCK." Raf got the current song, Bryan Adams' "Summer of 69".
-
*wils swing* Rachel Weisz? (However it's spelled)

I tried being a little less drastic with Genesis songs and just had a bunch of confused posters. In this case, you are CORRECT. BTW, I think "THE KIDS WANNA ROCK" isn't an obscure song. I went over the Bryan Adams songs that got significant airplay, 1985 or sooner (my personal limiter). This one got quite a bit- at least I heard it a lot.

Switching songs. Same artist, different song. "And now the times are changin'. Look at everything that's come and gone. Sometimes when I play that old six-string, I think about you, wonder what went wrong."

"Turned on the radio Sounded like a disco Musta turned the dial for a couple of miles But I couldn't find no rock 'n roll This computerized crap ain't gettin' me off. Everywhere I go,..." "London to L.A. Talkin' 'bout the New Wave. For a couple of bucks you get a weird haircut And waste your life away. Around the world or around the block Everywhere I go..." "Kick down the barricades. Listen what the kids say. From time to time people change their minds But the music is here to stay. I've seen it all from the bottom to the top. Everywhere I go...."

-Oddly enough, some of us can name the movie just from that first quote from Cloris Leachman's nurse. -One doctor in their conspiracy was shadowed by a chandelier- a web-shaped shadow, while he said this line. -Professor Lillolman was "the cocker spaniel." He also figured out Thorndyke's "high anxiety" by the end of the movie. -This movie was meant-by Mel Brooks- to be a tribute to the suspense films of Alfred Hitchcock. -If Gene Wilder had been available, he would have followed up "the Producers", "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein" with this movie.

Well-reasoned, and CORRECT!

The answer isn't coming to me yet- although it should, I'm sure.

Ok, hang on.

I was going to say "if Lucifer really is in the DCTV continuity, it's odd that Constantine and Madame Xanadu didn't have to deal with him first," but for all I know, they DID since I haven't seen the episodes yet. BTW, that there IS an "Anti-Monitor" is indeed a spoiler, since this isn't going to follow the comic closely because it can't follow the comic closely- same deal as with "Invasion!"
-
He "clarified" one of the movies. :) So, you chimed in with "Robin Wright Penn" sooner than anyone else, so if that's correct (it should be), it's your turn to either post 3 movies with the same actor, or 3 actors in the same movie, with the understanding that it should be get-able from the first 3 names you post. (I didn't see "Unbreakable", "Beowulf" neither.)

It is indeed! The show was actually more interesting than "I'm a Celebrity", if what I saw was any indication. It was interesting to see who was a team player, who was a prima donna, etc. Gary Coleman lost his cool on Vanilla Ice, Traci Bingham deserved to be slapped, Ron Jeremy seemed like a team player, etc. Erik Estrada joined in, which he always did on those shows.
