It's in international syndication. I'm thinking it's a success.

Sooner or later, someone at DC is going to connect the dots. They envy the success of DC. They aren't getting that it's based on the fans getting what the fans want to see. Iron Man is Iron Man, Captain America is Captain America, and so on. When they were working on "Man of Steel", they polled the public as to what they wanted to see. The public was specific. As movies is a service industry, the Powers That Be should have been DELIGHTED. The audience told them what they wanted to spend their money on, and it was something they could make. The public wanted the classic Superman. The director, however, was ANGRY at the public. He didn't WANT to make a movie about SUPERMAN. He didn't WANT the heroism, the costume, the flying, etc. I'm unclear why he even signed on to MAKE a Superman movie if he didn't want to make one. So, he made a "Superman" movie that bombed. They thought they should copy the success of their Batman movies. However, those worked because they gave the audience BATMAN. The Wonder Woman movie, I'm pleasantly surprised to say, delivered Wonder Woman. Perhaps someone will figure it out. The previous attempt was "the Avengers banter, so we need some bantering" and they made Suicide Squad. That had bantering, but otherwise wasn't what the audience wanted. So, with the success of Wonder Woman, and DC Hero Girls, perhaps someone has figured it out. We'll have to wait and see.

Any chance this is "Murphy's Romance"?
-
Maggie Gyllenhall replaced her, but Katie Holmes was in "Batman Begins", alongside Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon and Liam Neeson as "Henri Ducard." So, this was "BATMAN BEGINS."

I can name 1 1/2. Can we all just chime in with what we know, then you can make a judgement on who goes next?

Which makes this George's turn.

Let's face it, you can't Torquemada anything.

My gut wants me to try "AND JUSTICE FOR ALL." Was this it?

This show had 3 incarnations, all with the same title (more or less). A) It started airing March 1, 1949 and finished a second season despite the host/founder's death (and despite his name being on the show!) B) It aired 1982 to 1986, with Jack Palance hosting. It ran in syndication in the 1990s on cable as well. C) It aired 2000-2003 (plus syndication) with Dean Cain hosting.

YES. "Real People" plus "the People Under the Stairs." Back when they aired, one classmate insisted that "That's Incredible" premiered before "Real People." I remembered that RP aired a full year before TI. In fact, when watching TI's premiere (I watched both shows), I thought the other network (ABC?) was airing it specifically to compete with NBC's RP.

In this TV-movie, genuine citizens were interviewed and shown being their interesting selves. The most interesting story was about a young fool who tries to burgle his landlord's house only to find it super-secure to EXITING- leaving him trapped with some secret residents of that home. The interviews were conducted by Skip Stephenson, Byron Allen, Sarah Purcell and Fred Willard.

*checks* I've heard of the artists. I've heard OF this song. I'd never recognize it nor connect it to the artists.

Meanwhile, I'll chance the combination on my luggage!

Post-Way Churches- Sexual Assaut

(The following post comes from someone who has plenty of criticism for JAL. Very specific stuff.) I take it that they left out some things, like how they wrecked JAL's marriage with their "PERSONAL PROPHECY" nonsense. JAL was a good salesman when he was setting up CES/STFI, but eventually they cut him loose when their BOD couldn't agree on stuff. So, instead of adults candidly coming to some understandings, their "prophetess" spewed some false prophecies that ruined his marriage and savaged the reputations of himself and his Mrs. Take a tour through the CES/STFi threads for some of the background of these claims you were told. When I was in twi, I was told that lcm was chosen by ballot like how Matthias was chosen in Acts 1. That was a well-meaning lie. vpw selected lcm himself and announced his own successor. In fact, when he spoke to others, NOBODY put forth lcm's name. Other people's names were mentioned, but never his. The people who told me of the vote really believed that's what happened, and were nice people. Nice people can be honestly mistaken and pass along false information. Perhaps that's what happened with your informant from STFI. On the other hand, they might have been someone in-the-know who lied to your face. I only know they didn't pass along factually-correct info. For a brief time in the beginning, CES had a forum and open discussions. That didn't last- and discussions and disagreements with them were clamped down on after that. https://www.greasespotcafe.com/ipb/forum/86-out-of-the-way-the-offshoots/ https://www.greasespotcafe.com/ipb/forum/68-spirit-and-truth-fellowship-international/ -
I would not have recognized it to save my life. If I've ever heard it, I was a small child and it didn't register. I don't think I heard it even then. For that matter, this one isn't ringing any bells, either.

BTW, at the time, Mark was told that all copies of the film/photos of Groucho visiting the set were destroyed. Decades later, he was shocked to find that something had survived.

Either clue was enough for me. "WELCOME BACK KOTTER." Mark Evanier, Marx Brothers fan, was on the writing staff for this episode. He said the episode's epilogue was first going to include Gabe telling a joke, then Groucho coming out and topping the joke. Then, when they saw his physical state, they were just going to have him come out, and have his appearance be the "topper." Then they scratched that idea, again due to his health.
