Ok, I thought it was "Scream Queens" so I should have jumped in with a guess. I can at least get partial credit if I'm correct that the actress was JAMIE LEE CURTIS.

Gene Hackman ("I was gonna make espresso!") Superman-The Movie Terrence Stamp

That was a reference to "The Distinguished Gentleman" and how he got elected.

His was the name you know? XD Well, it was correct. ("Jeff" Johnson)

We need more clues so we (George) have some kind of shot at answering this.

"Was it Ramona's husband who offed himself? After her affair with LCM? " Yes, it was. (I followed the story because I'd met the guy when he did his interim year.) He had found out about the affair, and was trying to leave the grounds with his wife. He was talking to her, trying to get her to agree with him, and apparently was successful. lcm heard about this. (Overheard were comments like how he couldn't compete with lcm.) lcm sent someone who knew her and told him to stop her from leaving. Apparently, he was successful, and she changed her mind and decided to stay. T0m M1tch311 found out she was going to stay after all. He chose to respond by blowing his own brains out. I imagine shortly after that, she no longer was considered Ramona M1thch3ll. In case you missed the announcements, this is probably a good time to point out that the GSC doesn't have any requirements of beliefs or statements of beliefs. As survivors of twi, some of us are still Christian (waves hand), some of us have embraced any of a variety of other religions like Judaism or Wicca, some of us have rejected all conventional types of religion, some of us are atheists. It shouldn't be a shock, post-twi, to find out that some people were burned so badly in twi that they outright hate Christianity, and they may also be around as well. Most of the twi survivors have moved on to other things, and, as always, I consider them GSC success stories because they were able to move on with their lives. Don't be surprised if you also find, here or elsewhere, ex-twi who all but worship vpw and insist-against all logic and internal consistency- that God Almighty really DID speak to him and said he's God's Greatest Spokesman for the last 2000 years. There's a handful of them around here and other places. Also around, and more common, are Christians who left twi but are still Christians. Some have changed beliefs since then (having rejected what they saw as errors of twi), some haven't changed their beliefs much. As for "around here", I found that the Covid crisis changed what was "around here" for a lot of people. If a group has a Skype or a Zoom meeting, in place of or in addition to, their live meeting, it doesn't matter if the attendees live down the block or on another continent. So long as you can get online, you can attend the meeting, so bad weather, ill health, quarantines, etc. don't change that.

Ok, "Stanley Goodspeed" rings a bell because someone used that as an alias here.... But I recognize the 2 main characters from "Face/Off", and one is Castor Troy (naturally, his brother was Pollux Troy.) As a fan of the more recent "Gone in 60 Seconds", Memphis Raines is a giveaway. That was the main character in the movie, and obviously NICOLAS CAGE. (By "the other main character", I meant Sean Archer, not Pollux.)

"Charlie Bodell" and "Ben Sanderson" ring a bell, very faintly. If "Sailor Ripley" is the talented Mr Ripley, this should be MATT DAMON.

"It sounds like you're saying your folks followed you in and then out?" That oversimplifies it by a bit, but that's approximately correct.

Keep in mind that all parents are not the same, just as all experiences are not the same. "IMO, don't hope for leadership to see how well you appear to be doing and think it will inspire them." Actually, that's how BOTH of my parents got into twi and how both of my parents got OUT of twi (although they both knew other people jumping ship when I did.) When those happened, my parents changed their ideas about their relations with what I did and why. (For that matter, since they weren't together at either time, they both did that independently of each other.)

If you recover and have a happy life despite twi, your family will likely notice that there's life- happy life- outside twi and they might see that it's better outside than in. Just being a sane example might be the best thing for them. When they are ready to look for options or to jump ship, they will.

No, but I may stock up on tinfoil. I'm thinking there may be a run on it once people start making hats out of it.

I linked the wikipedia page I used. That page showed which movies came in number one for which weeks. I used that as a guide for which movies to check. Butch and Sundance didn't come in first often, but apparently kept making money while they were not, which is why they made so much more than. say, "Funny Girl." They also had a UK release that was quite successful. BTW, the numbers say all those movies came out ahead of "Goodbye Columbus", according to "The Numbers" website. What's your source for saying otherwise, that "Goodbye Columbus" out-performed them all that year?

Mel Brooks The Muppet Movie Dom de Luise

YES. That's most of the actors who have played him. I was going to be a bit flexible about the answer, since "his name" is a matter of discussion- Frankenstein's Monster is correct, sometimes he's also "Frankenstein", or even "The Creature" (like in "Young Frankenstein."

The other actor in Pigman's thesis was GENE HACKMAN. He said there was always a movie with either him or Michael Caine airing at every moment. So, Hackman?

Either they expected this to result in them being kicked out, or they did not. If they did expect this, I challenge the sincerity of them actually trying to fix twi when they wrote their letter. If they expected it to result in them being kicked out, that's expecting this to be a controversial act that resulted in a permanent split between them and twi, all while saying they were hoping to fix it. See, I would have expected that, also- but I would NOT have gone around saying "let's fix it" while expecting that the opening gambit would result in a split. That would be DISHONEST, and would not proceed from me actually being SINCERE. I know vpw made sincerity a dirty word because he misused it (mostly because he didn't UNDERSTAND the word), but it demonstrates an attitude of heart, and what someone's thinking at the time. So, if they were sincere, and really intended to try to fix twi, and didn't think that even offering to do so would result in them being canned, first of all, I question their brains. They'd participated in running lots of people out of town on a rail, and knew what triggered it. But, let's say they really were sincere. In that case, it would make no sense to have the entirely different group set up and ready to run when they sent their letter. They had already come up with the new name for their church, and had the website name already registered. I can't tell from here, but I'm confident they had the incorporation paperwork all filled out and ready to file (if they hadn't already filed it, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt on that one.) All of that was prudent- if they expected a split to result immediately. If they did, they went into the letter with that expectation- so saying that you were there specifically to fix things strikes me as insincere and dishonest. Their words were inconsistent with their plans and expectations. That's smart politics, and that's smart if you're looking to take over the big chair, set up your own church, and start collecting the tithes yourself.

One little factlet you left out..... The people who formed "Revival and Restoration" sent a letter to twi's board, and claimed they were interested in healing up and fixing twi from within. Before they sent the letter, they had already registered the "Revival and Restoration" website. In short, the more cautious observer would wonder how sincere they were about actually trying to fix twi, when they'd already started setting up the new group BEFORE approaching the board. I mean, I would have already made plans to leave, but I would NOT have been sincerely trying to fix twi since it was obviously broken fundamentally. So, I would not have come across as sounding like I was trying to fix them. Reminds me of an old joke. (The names can vary, but the joke is the same.) Vladimir Putin woke up one morning after a late party. He found his residence completely devoid of people. He looked out the window, and didn't see people standing, walking, or driving. His telephone rang. It was an advisor of his. "Don't you remember? You got drunk and said that anyone who didn't like living in Russia should just get out. So, they did." "Are you saying that it's only you and me in the entire country?" "No, just you-I'm calling from Poland."
