The story is set in San Dimas, California. Alex Winter said History teachers like him and English teachers hate him, for making history interesting or ruining the English language, respectively. At the end of "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey", Bill and Ted hop into the future and return to the present, after 2 years in the future. They got married, got instrument lessons, and both had sons whom they introduced- little Bill and little Ted. In "Bill and Ted Face the Music", we find out they had 2 daughters, with no names similar to Bill or Ted. The closing of the 2nd movie showed progressive success of Bill and Ted with show after show, and the 3rd movie shows they did nothing of the kind, and stagnated after their exposure to the entire planet. The villain of the 2nd movie was De Nomolos. Blame Ed Solomon. De Nomolos was scared of Bill and Ted becoming famous- and ended up introducing the entire planet to them! Primus with in the battle of the bands at the end of the first movie, but Faith No More's lead singer was brought into the future to teach. Clarence Clemons was in costume and not playing himself. In Bogus Journey, Bill and Ted were killed outdoors, and the set was Vasquez Rock, recognizable to some ST fans.

Bill S (Stanley) Preston, Esquire, is not a lawyer despite using the lawyer suffix, and was not named for Billy Preston. Yes, Keanu worried about being remembered only for Bill and Ted, and Alex Winter IS remembered that way.

Different people are thought of as the 5th Beatle- I would have gone with Pete Best, Mrs Wolf, IIRC, prefers Brian Epstein. Other people think of Billy Preston, and a few with nerve suggest Yoko Ono, possibly to start arguments.

I agree that's how it sounds. However, this was a regular song off a regular album off a regular band. Actually, now that I think of it, there's a bit of irony there.

-This film had several scenes filmed in Arizona, despite most clearly NOT being set there. -One character's middle name was "Stanley", but this didn't effect the story. He obviously never graduated from law school, no matter what he said or implied. -That same character was never INTENTIONALLY named after anyone referred to as "the 5th Beatle." -One of the actors was once worried he'd only ever be remembered for his role in this movie. He's not primarily remembered for this movie. A different actor is primarily remembered for this movie. -One of the actors gets mail from teachers. Some of the letters are positive, and some are negative, and they're divided primarily by which subject the teacher teaches (English teachers sent him angry letters.) -This movie has had 2 sequels and 1 cartoon. The sequels contradict each other. -One of the writers was Ed Solomon. He snuck his name into the first sequel. -The first sequel's bad guy was a former gym teacher. (I forget if he was a former champ at sit-ups or push-ups.) He was scared of certain things happening, and then ended up setting the stage for them to happen. -The first sequel included the band Primus, and included the lead singer from Faith No More. It also included Clarence Clemons, but he wasn't as obvious as the others. -The first sequel included a scene at Vasquez Rock. Star Trek fans may recognize it, it was used in the original series more than a little. -Several of the characters in the first movie died horribly- by assassination, poisoning, or burning to death. -There was a line from a soap opera snuck into this movie, and a line from a rock song as well.

"There really isn't any need for bloodshed, You just do it with a little more finesse. If you can slip a tablet into someone's coffee, Then it avoids an awful lot of mess." "Now if you have a taste for this experience And you're flushed with your very first success, Then you must try a twosome or a threesome And you'll find your conscience bothers you much less." "Now you can join the ranks of the illustrious In history's great dark hall of fame. All our greatest killers were industrious At least the ones that we all know by name."

MIa Sara portrayed Harley buck nekkid? Boy, I really missed something when I skipped that series!

"VPW is DEAD! 37 yrs and counting. I believe he had a one of a kind ministry. Back in 1980 or so, the coordinator of the music group I was in said that VP was the 7th "THE man of God" and that this was very significant. I never heard that same message from anybody else and I'm not sure what it even means, but I do believe that VPs combination of gift ministries was unique, not cookie cutter. Nobody has duplicated the respect and impact he got from his people." Ok, leaving aside the usual delusions about how vpw motivated "his" people, and how he used showmanship to INSINUATE he was getting Revelation all the time, and plagiarized his way through other people's writings and conspiracy theory hotlines and make it sound like he was getting that all by Revelation, and his rephrasing of the definitions of all the "gift ministries" so that he could INSINUATE he had them all when he had none of them, leaving those aside...... What's this business about "vpw was the 7th THE man of God"? Who, supposedly, were the other 6, and what did this reference even mean? Someone once claimed that exactly 3 people in history ever faced the devil directly- Jesus Christ, Paul and vpw. Where does this stuff even COME FROM? No, seriously, I'm asking because I want to know. Anybody?

I'm a little annoyed that my previous TWO posts got eaten, with one actually displaying here before it vanished. Ok, that actually tells me a lot. ONE name will be a dead giveaway. I'm thinking I read one of these names as the credits for the "DC Super Hero Girls" cartoon flashed by at the end. But most of those characters have not appeared elsewhere, or rarely did so (Bumblebee, Zatanna, the new GL.) A few have appeared a number of places (Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl), so there's more than one giveaway name for each (Gal Gadot and Linda Carter, Yvonne Craig and Alicia Silverstone, Helen Slater and Melissa Benoist.) It's not any of the male characters (so Aquaman is out, Hal Jordan is out, James Gordon is out.) I'm thinking all the hero girls are out. So, that leaves me with only 1 or 2 villain girls as a possibility. Taking George as accurate for one name actually being a real giveaway, I scratch off one character, and that leaves me with the character who replaced Duela Dent in the DC continuity. "HARLEY QUINN." Of course, if I'm wrong somewhere, I could be way off. But I think I'm down to the cast of that cartoon and eliminated most of them.

I have no idea if you're on the right track or not. I don't see where you're going with this one.
-
This has got to be an animated role with voice-actors. That's the most likely way to reconcile the first 3 with each other. Tara Strong and Arleen Sorkin sound familiar. I think I have this narrowed to a cartoon, but not to the character yet. (Otherwise, I don't think I'd recognize either name- one of them has got to be on this cartoon series.)

All I have so far is my amazement, and some puzzlement since they look different from each other. (Maybe a little impatience waiting for the next clue.)

Ok, next song. "Now you can join the ranks of the illustrious In history's great dark hall of fame. All our greatest killers were industrious At least the ones that we all know by name."

I always pictured that as "Salisbury". like the "steak." But Little Solsbury Hill, apparently, was where he was sitting when he got the idea for the song. *looks* He had quite a few albums. I liked 1-2 songs from several of them, but I liked about 1/2 the songs on "So." This song was from his self-titled solo album, "Peter Gabriel", aka "Car." *checks* No wonder I got so confused about what was on which album. I just had his Greatest Hits album.

Yes. Actually, I'd forgotten the cartoon series until you brought it up. Since I've seen an episode, that says something about how special it was. Here I thought I might have been a bit too vague for a first round of clues.

I'm amazed at the idea that these 3 actresses played the same role.

Stop focusing on imperfections and move on with your lives.
WordWolf posted a topic in About The Way
People, people! John Wayne Gacy was a pillar of his community, and a member of the Jaycees. He went to children's hospitals dressed up as Pogo the clown and entertained children. This was obviously a man who benefited people in society and helped change their lives for the better. Why, then, do people insist on focusing on the 33 people he murdered, rather than on the hundreds or thousands of lives he elevated? Is it an insistence on dwelling on evil that motivates them? They could just forget about his imperfections- after all, none of us are perfect. In Gacy's case, they were so fixated on his little slips that he was sentenced to death by lethal injection. As Christians, shouldn't we have just forgiven him and let him go his merry way? Think of all the other people whose lives will never be cheered by Pogo the clown! Surely there's something wrong with us if we can't just forgive someone for his little slips. After all, it's been some years, and Gacy's moments of oops are still being discussed. Aren't we supposed to forget and stop talking about them? And, if you were related to any of those 33 people, this still applies to you. An unhealthy obsession with Gacy's flaws doesn't reflect well on you. Surely God would want you to turn the other cheek, put it entirely behind you, get on with your life, and never mention it again. https://www.biography.com/crime-figure/john-wayne-gacy -
the trinity: asset, or liability?

I posted this in response to the initial post in this thread. I wonder if John even noticed it. I thought he might find it useful, particularly since I addressed his specific points. -
