Ok, a Star Wars/ Star Trek round. If you can answer all 3, go for it. If you can answer fewer, go for it. A) Art Carney from "the Honeymooners" (who played Ed Norton) will be remembered by some Star Wars fans. He appeared in at least one Star Wars VIDEO GAME, reprising a character he played live during the filming of the original trilogy (during the filming of Episodes 4, 5, and 6.) People who watch him in the role may catch an "Ed Norton" moment during his performance, playing against a Stormtrooper the way Norton played off Ralph Kramden. Either name his SW character, or where he appeared (for any meaning of "where he appeared.") B) When Disney moved forward with the sequel trilogy (Episodes 7, 8 and 9), they were good enough to get the gang back together again. All the living members of the principal cast returned to reprise their roles in Episode 7. (Since R2D2 didn't need a human performer, Kenny Baker is listed in the credits as "consultant on R2D2".) I appreciate the effort, no matter what I think of the movie as a whole. However, one actor from the original trilogy flat refused to show up in Episode 7, which I think is a shame, because there was a place for him in the story. Either name the actor, or his role. C) One actor rather famously played both a prominent Federation member and a prominent member of one of their enemies. Who is the actor, AND who did he play? (This question is a lot easier, so I'm asking for BOTH, not just one.)

I thought she was, since the show's opening always gave her name last, and her character was 4th in the ensemble. Ok, I need something, let's see...

Frank Stallone's an actor, too. In one movie, he plays one of a set of brothers. His character is given a set of "Directions even your brother can understand." He played one of "the Mario Brothers", . "New Jersey's third largest crime family." (It wasn't the only reference to Nintendo in the movie.) This movie was inspired by a song. A singer and aspiring musician/aspiring actor got together and wrote a song that told the story about a character- the world's greatest cat burglar- and his best friend. For decades, they'd said they'd put this in the soundtrack of the movie of this character- if his movie ever got made. Eventually, they worked together on the movie.

I heard of something once, it was probably not real. A criminal was fleeing the police, turned a corner, and saw a bunch of badges. He stopped, and simply surrendered - becoming the first criminal to be "arrested" by Richard Belzer and company before they brought in "the real cops." I saw Ross D going up and down a flight of stairs at 86th St & Lex for one of those, SVU I think. He was descending for the takes, and had to walk back up for reshoots. I told him I had to hand it to him, because nobody came down a flight of steps like he did. ;)

IIRC, the other 3 were Jackie Gleason (who went first), Art Carney and Audrey Meadows. The 3 of them minus Gleason, if memory serves, appeared on the US' "Comic Relief" in the 1980s.

A) On lots of threads, lots of ex-twi have talked about how much better their lives have been since twi, and sometimes about how God's given them results since twi. Mike has missed all of that- probably for the same reason a thief cannot find a policeman. B) I don't need specifics of Mike's testimony, since he's already given me the biggest detail. In spite of a recent attempt to spin-doctor it, Mike started a thread with the goal of answering the question "Why don't we see miracles and lots of prayers answered anymore?" If it was a thread where the opening post was "actually, we see EVEN MORE", then that would be different. So, no, he's got squat. C) Mike's been trying to claim that Session 1 of pfal- and the books adapting it- didn't have vpw bring up material abundance and promise material abundance... despite the fact that they do, very obviously and blatantly. Someone's looking to LOWER THE BAR OF EXPECTATIONS. So, what's the complete picture? Lots of people have happiness, some prosperity, and answers to prayers- and Mike insists they don't. Mike's got little of those- and insists on getting cagey in discussing them. Where others have freely given testimony, he's said we have to earn his testimony- which, again, means he's got squat, otherwise he's be waving it around as proof his doctrine isn't all platitudes, smoke and mirrors. Mike's trying to say his alleged "pfal" doctrine isn't supposed to guarantee MATERIAL ABUNDANCE (in spite of insinuating exactly that all over Session 1)- because Mike doesn't have it and can't guarantee it despite himself. What's next- the holy Amway?
