"Oh hey, you're that singer no one listens to." "Oh hey, you're the .... no one likes." "Oh... that wasn't me!" "But you dared him to do it!" "Yeah, but I dare a lot of people to do a lot of things! "The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down, of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee." -
Apparently not- I was talking about Nick Kroll.

Saw an interview of one of the actors. They included a clip from the show. The clip wasn't funny. He was supposed to do a funny interview. He wasn't funny. After one of his initial comments- odd but not funny- fell, Mrs Wolf said "He thought that was funny. It explains a lot." I hope this show is allowed to die a natural death and fade into obscurity, which is all it deserves.

It doesn't matter. No matter what time it is, we're gonna ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK tonight with Bill Haley and the Comets. -
Ok, next movie. "I love this chick. She's got rage issues." "I DON'T HAVE RAGE ISSUES!" " Isn't this fun? It's just like a sleepover. We should order pizza, make Cosmos...! " "Hey, I know that guy."

This IS Deep Purple's "HUSH."

That's very early for a Saturday. This is "CLOVERFIELD", found-footage meets Godzilla. No, actually, I thought this movie was better than most in either genre, no matter how I made it sound. The found-footage films are also known as "shaky cams" - because the authentic filming is with camcorders, thus the shaky footage. BTW, in case you didn't recognize the moments (but I did), They traveled on foot through the 6 train tunnels. The location they entered that had all the soldiers and medical cases was BLOOMINGDALES, 59th St and Lexington Ave, and accessible through the subway station. The final location on foot was Pershing Square, just south of Grand Central Station's main entrance. That spot's pretty well filmed. 40th and 3rd there was in "Quick Change" on the west corner (in the movie, that was the bank's location) , and the northeast corner was the CLAMP Building from "Gremlins 2." "Avengers" had their comic book panel moment almost in front of "the CLAMP Building", and "I Am Legend" (Will Smith version) used the upper road level above those. Furthermore, on 42nd at Pershing Square is that breakfast place with "the best breakfast in Manhattan", where Steve Rogers ate at the beginning of "Avengers" and in the missing scene. ("Get her number, you moron!") The breakfasts there ARE excellent but not worth the sticker price. (The Lexington Ave Diner is close, cheaper, and just as good, IMHO.) So, if the Cloverfield characters had walked past the landing spot, and then turned and looked back, the breakfast place would have been on their right, and Grand Central Station to their back. For those who know Avenue of the Americas, the tilted building was probably easy to spot. I had a general idea, but that was it.

Ok, for me, one of the most interesting things that ever happened at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade happened one year while I was watching it live. There was a parade float for "Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends." The float paused to play/have the characters sing Harry Nilsson's song "Best Friend." Shortly into the song, a surprise musical guest (not known for this song) exited the float and began singing. Who was he?

"Na, na-na-na, na-na-NA, na-na-na." "She's got loving like quicksand. Only took one touch of her hand. To blow my mind and I'm in so deep That I can't eat and I can't sleep." "I got a certain little girl, she's on my mind. No doubt about it, she looks so fine. She's the best girl that I ever had. Sometimes she's gonna make me feel so bad." "I thought I heard her calling my name now."

Yet ANOTHER lawsuit filed against The Way International today!
WordWolf replied to igotout's topic in About The Way
Considering there's no question about rosa-lie getting free lawncare, boat care and housekeeping by twi staffers, I'm sure a little creative accounting would have covered for someone who needed vital services - who was so integral to twi's history. There was no question about twi not covering anything. In fact, when she was being ushered off-grounds to an elder-care facility, the news broke here. All over past and current twi membership, suddenly all heck broke loose. All anyone could talk about WAS how twi threw Mrs W out in the street, or things along those lines. Things got so out-of-control that twi contacted the GSC admin and insisted they be allowed to tell their side of the story, and have something posted by them ON THE GSC to settle this. I SWEAR I'm not making ANY of this up. -
It was called "Resurrection Sunday", and written that way on their calendars. Frankly, it makes sense to me even if it's commonly called "Easter", so long as no stupid games are played about that not being the same day. According to twi, Jesus died Wednesday afternoon, and was buried before sundown because Passover was arriving. Three days and three nights later was Saturday afternoon. When the women arrived Sunday morning, Jesus was already gone, having been resurrected and all that. Then again, that was in the 80s. I heard things got really crazy in the 90s, after the exodus of 4/5 of twi.

Ok, next song. "Na, na-na-na, na-na-NA, na-na-na." (Saw this album sitting in the window of a news kiosk.)

I'm annoyed I can't place this one.

I can miss questions about Madonna because I'm not impressed. That goes double for Lady Gaga. BTW, one important lesson in politics (of which I was just reminded) is that "He who robs Peter to pay Paul can always count on the support of Paul."
